Max Dowler is a depressed 15 year old who is bullied and alone. When he meets Helena, a quirky teenage girl who's own life parallels his in many ways, he instantly and inexplicably falls in love with her. However, when he is drawn into her and her step-father's world of UFO sightings, paranoia and conspiracy theories, his life quickly hurtles in an unexpected direction

We see a tv anchor.

ANCHOR: In other news, local authorities went public and took questions today about the police station massacre.

CUT TO

We see an older man in a suit. He is at a podium, surrounded by microphones and reporters.

REPORTER: Mr. Clay, Is it true that the voice of the killer was recorded?

MR. CLAY:The tape is bieng evaluated.

REPORTER 2: what about the transcipt?

REPORTER 3: can you read the transcript mr. clay?

mr. clay gulps and looks at the paper.

MR. CLAY: (looking troubled)Die.....die......die....

Suddenly we see the bloody aftermath at the police station. Bodies are cut in half, blood is everywhere.

CUT TO:

The streets of NY, a red substance starts to leak out of the roads, and all of the surrounding buildings.
