Hey guys, I'm sure some of you have questions on my sequel to The Dark Knight - so go right ahead.
Just for housekeeping sake, the official title of the film, along with a poster and trailer, will be released in the coming days. Stay tuned!
But for now, ask away.

What made you choose the villains you did? What do you have in store with the Penguin to keep the plot fresh from the mob villains of Batman Begins?

What made you choose the villains you did? What do you have in store with the Penguin to keep the plot fresh from the mob villains of Batman Begins? I chose the Penguin and Catwoman because I believe they weren't portrayed very well on-screen in Batman Returns and that they've got a lot to offer to a grimy, Nolan-esque Gotham City. In the case of Black Mask, I just think he's the perfect villain. He flies under the radar when the Penguin is around, yet he's just as effective and menacing. The Penguin will be kept fresh by him not being a disfigured freak that's gagging for revenge like many have the preconception. He's simply the smartest mobster in Gotham. He's ahead of the curve with everything he does. Also in this story, he makes sure his toys rival Batman's too...

How much have the Batman comics/original Burton films influenced your writing of Batman 3, if at all?

Notably in Nolan's Dark Knight, things got alot darker before they got better. Will the tone for yours becoming increasingly more bleak or will there be a lighter touch to it?

Will this story include any more "supernatural" villains of Batman's or just the typical mob guys?
Do you think you've loaded too many villains or are they balanced?

Notably in Nolan's Dark Knight, things got alot darker before they got better. Will the tone for yours becoming increasingly more bleak or will there be a lighter touch to it? With Batman now a bad guy in the eyes of Gotham, things haven't been any worse. The main undertone of the film is Gotham dragging itself out of the shithole. I can't give away too much more! How much have the Batman comics/original Burton films influenced your writing of Batman 3, if at all? The Burton films haven't really influenced me at all, because I feel that if I dabble to far into the Burton world, I'd find myself writing unrealistic stuff. I've done a lot of research on the comics, so they are most definitely my main influence story wise. Will this story include any more "supernatural" villains of Batman's or just the typical mob guys? Do you think you've loaded too many villains or are they balanced? I'm including Bane, but he's more of a cult figure in the mob than a supernatural creature. I know it looks really overcrowded with villains and just characters in general (I didn't even notice it until I wrote all the characters down on paper), but I truly believe that I've meshed them in well.
