TRANSFORMERS: CONFLICT
Episode #1: INITIATION
Episode #1: INITIATION
The scene fades in slowly on the planet Cybertron. Huge metallic skyscrapers sprout out from the surface of the planet and vehicles of all sorts zoom across the surface of the planet. Many different kinds of robotic transformers walk along paths and sit in plazas, enjoying themselves. Zoom in on a large building. Zoom in on a balcony near the top of the building. Zoom in on Megatron standing on the edge of the balcony, surveying the scene below him. Soundwave stands next to him.
Megatron: Look at them, Soundwave. They're so vulnerable since they've become wallowed in this false sense of peace. This planet is ripe for our picking, for our conquest. The time has come for our plan to take its course and eliminate the weak from this planet. Only the fittest will survive, and they shall form the army of tomorrow! Soundwave!
Soundwave: Yes, Lord Megatron?
Megatron: Alert the soldiers. The time has come for our conquest of this pitiful planet of fools. Initiate the plan.
Soundwave: As you command, Lord Megatron.
Soundwave leaves the balcony, perhaps to initiate this plan of Megatron's.
Megatron: And so it begins; the war to end all wars.
Cut to a large, modern-looking city. An explosion goes off in the center of the city as waves of Decepticon troops pour into the city, firing cannons and tossing bombs. The single-eyed Shockwave leads them, firing his huge laser blasts mercilessly.
Shockwave: No mercy, no quarter, eradicate them all! In the name of Lord Megatron, I, Shockwave, claim this city for the Decepticons!
Cut to another city, where similar things are happening. Explosions rock the area while fast-moving ships move overhead. One of the triangular ships breaks off and lands on top of a building, transforming into Thundercracker, who lands to survey the scene.
Thundercracker: Ha ha ha! Megatron was right after all! All these pitiful Autobots have become weak with peace! Kill 'em all!
Cut to Megatron, Soundwave and Starscreamer breaking into a building after an explosion and sending blast after blast into the lines of robots.
Megatron: Only the strong shall survive this war and then I will lead them!
Starscream: As only you could, Lord Megatron.
Cut to a building that has still been untouched by the Decepticon forces. A large, red Autobot symbol is on the front of the building. Cut into the inside of the building. Optimus Prime stands below a row of older transformers, they are the government officials of Cybertron, the High Council.
Optimus Prime: We need to mobilize our troops and evacuate the planet!
High Council Member: NO! We must not let Cybertron fall into Megatron's hands!
Optimus Prime: Don't you see? If we stay here, all our troops will be sitting ducks! And then what chance do we have of regaining the planet? Can't you see?
High Council Member: The only thing I see at this moment is you suddenly wavering allegiance to the High Council's judgment, Prime. Are you going to betray us like Megatron?
Optimus Prime: ... No... Of course not.
High Council Member: Then I suggest you stand down and leave the decision-making to those who are qualified to do so.
Optimus throws his hands up in exasperation and leaves through a metallic door that hisses close as he leaves. Standing in the corridor outside is Hot Shot. Hot Shot immediately pulls up beside Optimus.
Hot Shot: So?
Optimus Prime: They disregarded all my warnings and brushed me aside.
Hot Shot: But they're supposed to take your advice! You're the "Prime", aren't you?
Optimus Prime: They outrank me, there's nothing we can do about it.
Hot Shot: So what are we going to do now?
Optimus Prime: We're going to get to the front line, mobilize and rally as many troops as possible and evacuate Cybertron.
Hot Shot: We're going to directly disobey the High Council's orders?
Optimus Prime: I understand if you feel uncom -
Hot Shot: Are you kidding me? Those geezers don't know squat! Let's do it!
Cut to a battle line where Red Alert and Scavenger are constantly peering over a barricade and blasting a couple of shots before ducking down again to avoid a flurry of blasts. Several other Autobot troops sneak timid blasts around the top and edges of the barricade. Suddenly, Optimus Prime and Hot Shot charge into the situation, hiding behind the barricade as well.
Optimus Prime: Scavenger! Red Alert! Sit rep!
Red Alert: Well, as you can see, Optimus, they've got us pinned here.
Scavenger: Optimus, I suggested we take them head-on, but this wuss here won't do it.
Red Alert: It's too dangerous!
Optimus Prime: You're right, Red Alert, but in this situation, it's the best chance we've got.
Red Alert: All right...
Optimus Prime: Let's go!
Optimus whips out a heat sword from a hidden device on his wrist and scales the barricade, using an array of boosters on his feet and back to propel him into the Decepticon forces. Hot Shot, Scavenger and Red Alert follow suite, Red Alert somewhat reluctantly. They land in the center of the Decepticon forces, Optimus swinging his blade left and right, relieving Decepticons of body parts. Hot Shot blasts his blaster while rolling and punching as Scavenger simply bulldozes through the enemy forces, using his blasters to create a pathway. Red Alert simply knocks enemies down with his gun and fists. Quickly, Autobot reinforcements arrive, forcing the Decepticons to retreat.
Hot Shot: Alright! We got 'em on the run!
But suddenly, an explosion rocks the building and Megatron and Starscream leap in through the opening, blasting away with their heavy guns.
Megatron: PRIME!
Optimus Prime: Megatron!
Megatron: You have no idea how long I've waited to crush your head-piece under my boot!
Megatron leaps towards Prime, using an energy sword protruding from a wrist compartment to slice apart Autobots along the way. Quickly, Megatron uses the body of an Autobot as a stand as he leaps towards Prime. Megatron hits Prime with huge impact but Prime rolls through, propelling Megatron into an opposing wall.
Optimus Prime: Call off your troops, Megatron!
Megatron: You are still naive as usual, Prime! It is too late! My troops control every major city on the planet and you will not stand in the way of my goal!
Optimus Prime: And what is that? The complete evaporation of every living species on this planet?
Megatron: No, I will -
Megatron is interrupted by a laser blast from Hot Shot that sends up a cloud of smoke.
Optimus Prime: Quick! Retreat! Get to the ships!
Only four living Autobots retreat from the room; Optimus, Hot Shot, Red Alert and Scavenger manage to get out of the building alive, transforming into various Cybetronian transports and speed away on a highway. Meanwhile, Megatron clears away the cloud of smoke as Starscream finishes off a still-living Autobot with a thrust from his arm-mounted sword.
Megatron: Prime, you coward!
Cut to a loading hangar where Prime and the Autobots arrive. Prime quickly reverts to his robot form and meets up with several other Autobots next to a large ship. Jazz stands there, next to Jetfire and Sunstreaker.
Jazz: Come on, little dudes, we gotta get this show on the road! There's a buncha Decepticons just waiting outside this hangar!
Optimus Prime: Is this all that made it?
Jazz: Hard to tell. You never know, they might find their way off-world somehow.
Optimus Prime: It doesn't matter! Let's go!
The last seven Autobots pile into the ship and take stations at various seats on the ship. It's at this time that the door to the hangar breaks down and Thundercracker bursts into the room, guns pointed as more Decepticons pour into the room.
Thundercracker: Shoot 'em up!
The Decepticons open fire and the bolts narrowly miss the ship. Cut to the inside of the ship as Prime and the rest of the Autobots start to lift off.
Optimus Prime: JAZZ! Get us out of orbit!
Jazz: Alright, alright! Jeez...
The rocket thrusters open up and fire pours out as the ship lifts off the ground. At this point, Megatron runs through the door, having finally caught up. He quickly assesses the situation.
Megatron: Astrotrain! Transform and give chase! Decepticons, come on!
Megatron, Thundercracker, Soundwave, Starscream and several other Decepticons pile into the back of Astrotrain as he takes off, chasing the Autobot ship. Cut to the interior of Astrotrain as Megatron discusses their next move.
Megatron: We cannot allow the Autobots to regroup off-world. We need to get to them and destroy or recruit them all, do you understand.
Decepticons: YES!
Megatron: When Astrotrain pulls up alongside their ship, I want the port opened and everyone to shoot grapple hooks and board their ship. I don't want a single Autobot left on that ship!
Cut to the interior of the Autobot ship. The Autobots are working furiously, trying to escape the fast-approaching Astrotrain, brimming with Decepticons. Optimus whirls around the ship, directing his Autobots.
Optimus Prime: Red Alert, enter the nav codes and get us onto a Space Bridge, we'll travel faster that way! Hot Shot, arm the cannons. They have more troops, but we'll give them all we've got! Scavenger, pilot the ship into that asteroid field, we might be able to lose them there!
The ship turns and heads for an asteroid field and Astrotrain follows, not giving an inch. Eventually, Astrotrain pulls up almost directly next to the Autobot ship. Inside, the Decepticons are basically leaping with anticipation.
Megatron: Decepticons! Prepare to board!
Astrotrain finally pulls up alongside the Autobot ship and a side port opens, revealing a ship full of Decepticons. The Decepticons launch a variety of hooks onto the side of the ship before blasting open the hull with an array of cannons and blasters. With a huge gaping hole in the hull in to the interior, the Decepticons swing into the ship, blasting as they come.
Optimus Prime: They're boarding the ship!
Red Alert: I've nearly got the codes for Space Bridge travel! What's our destination?
Optimus Prime: Anywhere but here!
Megatron: DECEPTICONS! OPEN FIRE!
The Decepticons arrive on the ship, blasting away recklessly. The Autobots return fire just as recklessly, blaster bolts careening off the interior of the ship, many missing their mark.
Red Alert: Alright! I've got us set on a direct course for -
At this moment, an asteroid collides with the rocket thrusters on the ship, throwing the ship off their original course. Suddenly, the ship zooms away into a portal a Space Bridge.
Red Alert: NO! My coordinates became scrambled by the asteroid! I have no idea where we're going!
Megatron: And you won't live to find out! DECEPTICONS! SLAY THEM ALL!
Scavenger: I don't think so!
Scavenger charges into the mix, throwing aside Decepticons like dolls as he uses his raw strength to dominate. Sunstreaker and Jetfire quickly rush in to back him up.
Jetfire: Kind of foolish to charge into the enemy lines, isn't it, Scavenger?
Sunstreaker: Cut your babbling, Jetfire! This is how you win fights!
Scavenger: I'll say!
Suddenly, Megatron lands a huge kick on Jetfire that sends him crashing into a control panel. An alarm goes off alongside flashing red lights.
Optimus Prime: Red Alert! What’s going on?
Red Alert: Jetfire just shattered our Space Bridge traveling capability! We’re probably coming off the bridge right now!
Cut to the outside of the ship. The ship tilts slightly to the side before a portal opens up beside them. Meanwhile, Astrotrain sees what’s happening and follows the ship through the portal right before it closes.
Red Alert: We’re headed for a collision course with an unknown planet!
Megatron: But the Decepticons aren’t! DECEPTICONS! FALL BACK TO ASTROTRAIN!
The remaining Decepticons leap out of the ship, piling back inside Astrotrain’s cargo hold. Meanwhile, the ship heads towards a planet that looks strikingly familiar (it’s Earth!). The ship enters the atmosphere and begins to form a blazing rock as it heads towards the surface. Meanwhile, Astrotrain follows but is thrown off by the gravitational pull from the planet, causing him to wobble and head towards the planet.
Astrotrain: I’M LOSING CONTROL!
The two ships enter the atmosphere, making streams of fire behind them as they start their descent. The Autobot ship starts to pull away from Astrotrain and flies across several cities before crashing in a mountainous area. Astrotrain attempts to pull up but is unsuccessful and crash lands in an open field. Cut to the Autobot ship. It is now a smoldering wreck. Smoke pours from the ship and a hatch is pushed open on the side of the ship. Red Alert drops out of the ship’s hatch, followed closely by the rest of the Autobots.
Red Alert: How’re we going to get back to Cybetron?
Optimus Prime: We can’t worry about that now. First we need to acquire some forms that’ll allow us to remain hidden on this planet.
Hot Shot: New alternative modes? That’s cool.
Optimus Prime: Quickly now, we don’t have much time.
Cut to the Decepticon forces. Astrotrain lies in a pile of parts, smoking and Megatron and his remaining forces stand around. Starscream inspects Astrotrain, clearly concerned for their position.
Starscream: How're we going to get back to Cybetron, Lord Megatron?
Megatron stands in the field, looking around, his head held high, almost as if he's sniffing something.
Megatron: This planet is ripe for conquest. You can almost smell their weakness in the air. We will take this planet first and then return to Cybertron with every natural resource we need, stripped from this planet!
Thundercracker: But Lord Megatron, what about locals?
Megatron: We will deal with them when the time comes. For now, we must acquire alternative forms that will keep us in disguise.
Cut to an open road heading towards the mountains where the Autobots crashed. The Autobots have acquired new vehicles modes and are speeding back to the ship. Optimus Prime is now a large eighteen-wheeler with a custom red paint job. Scavenger is large bulldozer with tracks. Jetfire flies overhead, now a large passenger plane. Hot Shot and Sunstreaker race ahead, both of them yellow sports cars. Jazz hangs back near Optimus, now a Pontiac Solstice with a silver paint job. Red Alert hangs in the back, now a blue and white-painted rescue jeep.
Jazz: What are we gonna do now, Optimus?
Optimus Prime: Well, first we must salvage as much equipment as possible from the ship and then we must find a way to find the Decepticons.
Jazz: Why do we have to do that?
Optimus Prime: Without a doubt, Megatron will be looking for ways to get off-world and to gather as much resources as possible from this planet.
Jazz: How're we gonna find them?
Optimus Prime: I wouldn't worry too much about that, Jazz. I think they'll probably find us.
