C A N D Y L A N D
PLOT:
Living at home with an abusive, jesus obsessed mother and at school with no friends or recognition, Sadie Fieldhouse has a hard enough life as it is. But one night after her mother mysteriously disappears, Sadie and her sister Erin are left alone with a few friends to take part in the culminating search party. But then the knocks at the door begin. And the haunting melody of a music box playing in one of the upstairs bedrooms. And then comes the discovery of an ominous man with a high-pitched voice, a big red nose, and lots of lolli pops, right outside their front door. A man who has the capability to diminish the very foundation of a person's sanity. A man who brings out the darkest secrets of human nature. A man who goes by the name of The Candyman. "Want a treat?"

Despite my disappointment at finding out it wasn't based on the board game, this sounds pretty damn cool, and I'm really interested in how you'll film this stuff.

haha sorry about that but it will def have a fantasy feeling to it. There's gonna be sweet effects involving candy, snow, and fire all made by Adobe After Effects.

This sounds amazing Bucks. I really cannot express how excited I am about it. Speaking of which, I'm going to shoot a horror film this summer also! Might ask the resident master of horror for some film-making tips.

Jeffrey Hatcher, screenwriter of "The Duchess" and "Casanova", has just signed on to play the role of The Candyman. Filming started Friday and will continue through August!
