So, this is my favorite of mine that I have written. This is in a poetry book entitled "Inspired" which is a collection of great poetry from talented young poets. Take a looksy : "Anniversary" by Krew
“How could this happen to me?” I wondered as I stood in shock. I stand here angry, on this very dock.
I stand here, crying, and balling. The tears just pour down my face like a rainstorm in April. I can't stop seeing the image of my love's body just falling.
My love's arms were flailing in the air, as the wind pushed her over. It was here that she fell into the deep blue sea. This all probably never would have happened if I would have brought my four leaf clover.
The memories of her just keep flooding into my mind. She was the single most beautiful person I have ever seen. My friends would always tell me. “She is just so kind”.
Out of no where, I am pulled into the very spot she fell in! I try to get away, I fought with all of my possible might. But I was pulled in by a giant blue fin!
Then, I wake up screaming, and pleading. I realized that the mortifying experience was just a dream, as I lay there petrified. It all makes since now as I glance at my watch. It is the anniversary of when my beloved died.

I like it a lot. You use very descriptive and emotive language - I really felt the narrator's pain when it was being described how kind his love was. I thought the blue fin worked very well as a symbol of fear and the unknown (and perhaps the geo-political implications of mass consumerism?), and the twist ending got me, especially when the narrator looked at the date on his time-telling wristwatch. Overall, a very impressive piece. Do you have any more poetry that you can post?

I felt the poem worked on a great number of levels, like any work of true substance should. Unlike Blag, I didn't pick up on the symbolism of the fin. Instead I fixated upon the way the clover simultaneously represented the hopes and regrets that exist in all of us. I think I felt the narrator's pain and the story was all to familiar to me having recently gone through a comparable experience. You have an exceptional ability to bring out universal feelings with a unique and specific situation. I want more.

I actually liked it, surprisingly. I thought it was going to suck but it was really not too shabby. There are some things you need to work on, but you have talent.
Post some more.

I really enjoyed re-reading it and didn't realize how much I'd missed it. Tell me of this anthology it's published in. Is it available to purchase?

I'm not sure if it is still available, because it was two years ago so it would be very hard to come by.
