FADE IN
EXT. SPRINGWOOD HIGH SCHOOL – NIGHT
We sit on a vast frame consisting of the colossal SPRINGWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. The school itself is rather normal; red bricks and a stone carved sign above two big red doors lead to by a long concrete walkway. There is nothing seemingly special about the looks of Springwood High.
INT. SPRINGWOOD HIGH SCHOOL – SWIMMING POOL – NIGHT
We now find ourselves inside the school in one of its most notable vast features – the pool. Tonight’s a late night for the boys on the Springwood Swordfish as their first swim meet of the year is in only a few days.
COACH CRAWFORD paces back and forth by his lonesome as he nervously watches his fifteen swimmers work their asses off swimming back and forth, back and forth, with what seems like no end in their future.
One boy, JACK RAMSEY, a good looking brown haired senior, looks particularly tired. Shit, looks as if he could fall of the earth any minute now. Jack finishes a lap and with several deep, raspy breathes, rips off his goggles and rests himself on the pool’s side. Coach Crawford notices Jack’s struggle and walks over to him. Crawford kneels down and looks Jack in the eye. Jack tries to cover up his agony by giving a slight smile.
Jack nods his head.
INT. LOCKER ROOM
Jack trudges into the locker room, rubbing his eyes with his prune-like hands. He romps over to his locker and opens it up.
FADE OUT
FADE IN
Jack holds a bottle of Stay Awake pills in his hand. He opens up the bottle and pops several of them into his mouth.
CUT TO BLACK. We begin to hear Jack choking.
CUT BACK. Jack falls on the floor and begins convulsing. After a long struggle, he seems to go unconscious.
BLACK SCREEN
We hear a deep monotone laughter echo against the brick walls of our drawn in minds.
Suddenly, we cut to the swimming pool. Jack is looking into the churning water when all of a sudden blood red liquid starts to fume out of the drains at the bottom of the pool. The pool fills up with the rich redness and begins to bubble like a bowl of boiling water.
Jack stampedes around the pool but the overflowing blood stops his sprint and pulls him down into the red abyss.
CUT TO BLACK
ALL GOES SILENT.
We faintly hear a deep raspy chuckle and then a voice saying:
THIS SONG STARTS PLAYING AT 1:49…
CUT TO:
Jack suddenly screams into the camera as a waterfall of blood pours down over his head, covering his face until we can see it no longer.
Nancy Thompson walks through a beautiful garden that is slowly being devoured by flames.
Kendall is violently pushed off her bed by a dark figure and falls through her floor, leaving a gaping hole leading into a blood red abyss down below.
Nancy sleeps quietly on her bed when suddenly the wall stretches and a clawed man’s shape bulges out of it, wrapping its arms around a screaming Nancy.
A terrified Bobby and Collin sprint through a long hallway as a man in a dirty red and green sweater stalks several feet behind.
The audience watching a 3-D movie at the local theater scream their loudest as the man with the claws appears on the screen, sticking his hand out amongst them.
Jack’s flailing body hovers on the ceiling of the locker room and suddenly drops down with all its might toward the hard cement below.
Nancy yells into the camera:
A shadowed man violently runs up to the frame, brandishing a hand carved with four long, rusty cutting knives and slashes it across the camera.
SMASH TO BLACK
INT. NANCY’S ROOM – NIGHT
Nancy holds her telephone tight against her ear as she cries her eyes out. Everything is silent. Suddenly, the man speaks again – the man in the red and green sweater with the knives for fingers. The man they call, Freddy Krueger.
Suddenly, Freddy jumps through the window next to a petrified Nancy and immediately puts his whole mouth up against her trembling cheek.

JACK (out of breath)
Coach…?
CRAWFORD
What’s goin’ on Jack?
JACK
w…what do you mean coach?
CRAWFORD
Jack, I may be old but I ain’t stupid. I see you struggling over there. Is there’s something goin’ on that you want to talk about? You’ve never been this tired out before.
JACK
…(at a loss of words)…
CRAWFORD
Go hit the showers and rest up. You’re my best swimmer Jack. I’d hate to lose you for next weeks meet.
