Selected cinemas in the United States and Canada are showing a very short teaser for EGame's upcoming production A Clockwork Orange is being shown. This teaser was made very quietly, because nobody suspected anything when EGame announced that nothing for the film had been created yet. That was obviously a stretch of the truth, although he was telling the truth when he said that the cast has not yet been finalized.
Here is the teaser:
Many are guessing who will play the role of DeLarge from the short dialogue. Word is that the voice is actually director of the film Thomas Macdonald putting on an English accent and playing the part just for the teaser. But some are going to that conclusion, and also to the conclusion that Thomas has casted himself for the role of Alex DeLarge. The young man does have an acting background, so I wouldn't totally rule it out.
Here is the teaser:
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE
An EGame Entertainment production;
EGame Entertainment's logo shows up on the screen. A knife that looks as if it is floating in thin air appears on the screen which shimmers in a bright light that's coming in from the left of screen. We hear the cold voice of Alex DeLarge emerge from the speakers.
ALEX DELARGE: "Gosh golly, this place needs a clean up."
The camera then dramatically cuts to an underground sewer with water dripping onto the cold concrete.
ALEX DELARGE: "I say, there will be blood!"
"Blood" by My Chemical Romance plays as we then hear a frightening giggle from DeLarge as we cut back to the knife, but we see a hand clutch the handle of the knife. We still can't see the face, all we see is a bowed head with a suit hat on.
As the head begins to come up, seemingly to reveal the man's face, 'A CLOCKWORK ORANGE' appears on the screen. 'SUMMER 2008' also appears after it.
