FADE IN:
The camera pans over the idyllic landscape of the shire
FADE:
We see a glittering city by the sea overlooking a rich harbor. Looks very elven, but like nothing we've seen yet in Middle-Earth.
We hear Iam Holm's voice narrating.
BILBO (voice over):
I like stories - hearing them and telling them...
CUT TO:
A breathtaking view of the Misty Mountains. An eagle swoops by as the camera moves along the mountain range.
BILBO (voice over):
And I've alway thought the story of my life would be one worth telling...
CUT TO:
Three trolls in a clearing that appear to be made of stone. We see Gandalf sitting against a tree in a field at night smoking his pipe.
We cut to Bilbo in his house, still played by Ian Holm. He takes a book off the shelf, dusts it off, sits down and opens it. He begins to read out loud, starting with the title.
BILBO:
"There and Back Again - A Hobbit's Tale by Bilbo Baggins"
