Gabriel speaks over a black screen.
GABRIEL (V.O.)
When I was a boy, my father would tell me I was named after the Archangel Gabriel.
Black and white shot of a young boy and his father flying a kite on a sandy beach. The mother smiles as she watches along the shore.
GABRIEL (V.O.)
He would tell me that Gabriel represented the two hands of God.
Now inside a dark, busy nightclub. On the stage stands a beautiful blond woman named Iris. She sways hypnotically as she sings.
GABRIEL (V.O.)
God's left hand, he would say, is the part of Gabriel that would bring good souls to Heaven when they die.
Gabriel sits in a confessional booth, cloaked in darkness. His face is barely visible. The panel slides open and we see FATHER KEATON on the other side.
GABRIEL (V.O.)
But his right hand, his right hand is the one that would damn the souls that were unfit to enter heaven.
Gabriel sits atop a clock tower. His back to the wall he stares at the camera, screwing the end onto his sniper rifle.
GABRIEL (V.O.)
His right hand represented what we know as the Grim Reaper.
There is a large church, lit up in the black night. An unknown man runs desperately toward it. CLOSE UP of the wooden door. There is an inscription that reads:
"REPENT THY SINS AND MEET THY FATHER"
We now see the unknown man inside the church. He lies on his back, half sprawled across the steps to the altar. Fear fills his eyes as we see Gabriel standing in front of him, pointing a pistol directly at him.
MAN
Which one are you?
GABRIEL
I am no angel. But the men I kill, they deserve no forgiveness.
BOOM! The gun fires and the screen cuts to black.
THE HAND OF GOD slams over the screen.
Coming June 10th.
