The DC Protectorate First Look!

(The camera sweeps over a view of Earth from space)

Spectre (V.O): I am The Spectre. For untold millennia I have acted as God’s spirit of vengeance. Lately I have realized something. The world is being attacked. Subtly.

(We are shown short clips of people being attacked by others.)

(Then more clips of the bodies. Glyphs are written around them in blood.)

Spectre (V.O): There are people. In our world. That fight against evil. Their reasons are as varied as the people themselves. Some fight simply for the truth.

(As this last line is uttered we are shown a clip of The Question fighting off two thugs. In the background is a city hall with various people running around screaming.)

Spectre (V.O): Some fight for a family lost.

(We are shown a clip of Black Adam tearing, literally, through a gang of thugs as blood spatters on and around him. Then another clip is shown of Adam laying inside a crypt.)

Spectre (V.O): Others fight to keep both Angelic and Demonic forces away.

(We are shown a clip of John Constantine smoking and drinking. A man with glowing red eyes approaches him from behind. Constantine then accidently throws some of his drink on him causing the man to melt and shriek horrifically as he does.)

Spectre (V.O): And some simply do because they are receiving monetary compensation.

(We are shown a clip of Lobo pursuing a man on foot. Lobo finally sends his hook through him killing the man instantly. We then see him at an office being paid after placing the man’s head on a desk.)

Spectre (V.O): God has designed me to never show fear. Nor to ever allow doubts to enter. But I am.....afraid. That with this new team. We are all doomed.

(We’re shown what looks to be an open foyer amongst a beautiful garden. Black Adam and Constantine are facing each other. Constantine takes the cigarette out of his mouth and blows smoke into Adam's face)

Constantine: Now if your suppose to be such a big, bad man how come you couldn’t help your family then?

(Adam's face contorts in anger when the smoke hits him.)

Adam: Insolent fool!

(As Black Adam’s fist races towards John’s face we focus on The Question who is sitting in a chair a small bit away. He’s reading a newspaper. The newspaper is filled with marker marks and scribblings about various links between things)

The Question: This is disappointing. Only three links between the increase in gang violence and Avril Lavigne. The world is coming to an end after all.

(He lets out a laugh. It’s evident from his body language he is kidding.)

The Question: Though it wouldn’t surprise me if Avril is the reason for our upcoming apocolypse...

(He suddenly leaps up as if to yell something. However a yell in Arabic is heard from offscreen as a chunk of concrete smashes into Question’s face. He collapses and twitches out cold)

Spectre (V.O): *Sighs* I fear the worst. But humans as a whole have found ways to win despite the odds. I hope this shall be the outcome here.

(The garden begins to fade away as the words “The DC Protectorate” appear on the screen. They stay for a few moments before fading to black.)

But a good trailer is a good trailer. So well done
