Here is the second trailer to be released for Eleanor Rigby. The first was more dramatic, this one is more comedic. The third will be released at Movie Con 2.
AnnaSophia Robb as Eleanor
Sam Rockwell as Martin
Timothy Hutton as Carl
Emily Deschanel as Natalie
Ryan Reynolds as Thomas
Coming August 15th.
BLACK SCREEN.
FADE IN:
At an airport terminal a large family waits anxiously. The grandmother, sitting in the middle holds an absurdly large sign that reads:
CUT TO:
James, the Father, sits on his bed looking through an old photo album. His eyes are painfully sorrow.
In another room is the rest of the family. Three brothers: Martin, Carl and Thomas and their sister Natalie.
The seventeen year old step-sister, Kira, lounges in a recliner.
The father has just entered the room.
She shrugs.
CUT TO:
AIRPORT again. The people are filing out. Near the end we see ELEANOR, carrying a red backpack around her arms. She is a stunningly gorgeous sixteen year old girl. Her golden hair rests perfectly on her shoulders.
The family all jump in excitement and angst.
CUT TO:
HIGH-SCHOOL PARTY.
Eleanor sits against a railing of the balcony drinking beer out of a plastic cup. An ogre-ish football player, sporting his jersey, approaches her.
Thad looks impressed.
She hesitates a BEAT, wondering if he's serious....he is.
CUT TO:
Dining room. The family is all yelling at the top of their lungs at each other, specifically Thomas. Eleanor sits at one end, the noise drowned out as she stares into space.
FADE OUT.

ELEANOR (V.O.)
Families are screwed up. That's just the way it is. You can't change it, you can't fight it. It's just a fact. Some more than others, all in different ways. My family....yeah, my family is screwed-up.

THAD
So, what kind of a name is Eleanor Rigby?
ELEANOR
(sharp as a tack)
The traditional kind. First name closely followed by the last.
