The following is one of the more action-packed scenes in Adam, Omega Man - due in theaters October 31. Enjoy! 
INT. ADAM'S CONDO - MIDNIGHT
FADE IN to a digital clock that reads 11:59pm. When the time changes to 12:00am, a title fades into the screen. It reads: MONDAY.
WE SLOWLY ZOOM IN on a sleeping Adam, who is curled up in a fetal position on the ground. As the camera gets closer to him, we begin to hear a HISSING sound that is becoming louder and louder. Eventually, BOOM! We hear an explosion, and Adam’s eyes snap open. Adam jolts up from the ground and runs over to the window to see what is happening. He tears down his blinds and stares blankly out the window. There is an eerie silence for a few seconds. Out of nowhere, WOOSH! A large piece of metal flies by, right in front of Adam’s window.
ADAM
HOLY SHIT!
Adam continues to stare out the window as he witnesses more pieces of metal flying. He glances up at the sky and notices that the whole skyline has been painted orange from something burning above. Adam quickly runs under his kitchen table and hides – anticipating a piece of metal to hit him. A RUMBLING sound begins to fade in and Adam’s whole condo begins to shake.
At this point, Adam is screaming at the top of his lungs. BANG! A large piece of flaming metal smashes through the top of Adam’s ceiling. In shock, Adam runs from under his table and takes out his fire extinguisher. He runs towards the metal piece with it.
ADAM (VO)
I knew I’d get around to using it someday.
He stops at the metal piece and attempts to spray at it. However, Adam glances at a label on the extinguisher that reads: EXPIRES MAY 2010.
ADAM
Damnit!
ADAM (VO)
2 years too late.
Adam throws the extinguisher on the ground just as he notices some writing on the metal shard. The writing says: AIR CANADA. Adam eyes become wider in fear. He knows what is going to happen next. A LOUD HISSING sound begins to get louder and Adam runs to his window.
He stares out and witnesses the entire fuselage of an airplane smash into an apartment building a few blocks away. The camera RUMBLES violently when this happens. Adam finds himself petrified in shock. All of a sudden, the turbine of an airplane smashes into the apartment complex beside him. We hear Adam scream and CUT TO BLACK.
INT. ADAM’S CONDO – MORNING
ADAM’S Condo is in a mess. There is debris all over the floor. There is dead silence, not a single sound. We see Adam passed out on the floor. All of a sudden, he snaps his eyes open and pulls himself off of the ground. In a half-awake state, he lugs himself around his condo, inspecting the damage. He walks up to the piece of metal lodged in his ceiling and stares at it.
ADAM
I better call 911.
ADAM (VO)
No shit, dumbass.
ADAM reaches for a phone and dials 911. He stays on the line for several minutes before noticing that nobody is on the other line. Looking scared, he ends that call and presses his speed dial button.
LADY VOICE (OS)
Hello, you have reached the offices of Dr. James Hilbert. If you would like to speak to a receptionist please press ‘0’, if you would like to speak to Dr. James Hilbert please press ‘1’.
ADAM presses the ‘1’ button.
LADY VOICE (OS)
Please hold.
The song ‘It’s The End Of The World (As We Know It)’ by R.E.M. plays on the phone as ADAM is put on hold. The song cuts away after a few seconds.
DR. HILBERT (OS)
Hello –
ADAM
Hilbert!
DR. HILBERT (OS)
– have reached my voicemail. I am not here either because I am busy with a patient or just because I don’t want to speak to you. Just kidding. Leave your name and number along with a message after the beep.
A BEEP is heard.
