Hello all, I have an important announcement that needs to be addressed to the "Directors" of Movie Reels. I would like to announce that as of December 8th, 2007--I am expanding the directing market and I am now allowing all directors to take their films "one step further". Currently, the process to "watch" films is to simply read a formatted script/screen play issued by the director. The concept and simplicity of the current process is both fun and entertaining. However with the "new" expansion in place--I would like to announce that Movie Reels has "officially" gone to Youtube. That's right. Now all directors have the option to take their film one step further following scripting. Filming your movie would not only increase your chances of winning the monthly prize AND obtaining the highest grossing film but you will also receive $10 in cash (payable by money order or personal check) for every movie you actually "film" and put on Youtube. More on this announcement in the coming minutes. EDIT: (Instead of "Filming" Your Movie) You also have the option to put together a film using various clips from other films. Sure it will take some time--but look at it this way, you wouldn't have to act or do your own filming. Find the clips you want and put them together. And if you want to take it the whole 9 yards--you can add background music as well as a title screen and closing credits. Hey, it is worth a shot and on a side note; I'd really like to see someone try this. Right now it's a work in the process. ~Mr. Vincent

Can you still use script formats? Absolutely. You can still write scripted/screenplay formats or you can take the extra step and actually film your movie. The option is up to you. ~Mr. Vincent

I'm still going to use the script format for the following reasons:
1. I have no money to shoot a film (no matter how low-budget).
2. Operation Redshift wouldn't translate well into a low-budget-indie-youtube extrabaganza.
3. Somehow I don't think I'll be able to get Will Smith and Christian Bale to do a youtube video.

We will be doing the same for most movies, however we have a special project for film planned.

I may film one or two. But I'm really not sure if I will do it or not.
1. All of my films will suck, because nobody that I know can act.
2. It takes work... I don't feel like getting off my lazy butt very often.
3. Yeah, that about covers it.
