HALLOWEEN: RED BAND TRAILER
Cut in:
We see a blood red screen that advertises the films rating.
It reads: “The following preview is for RESTRICTED AUDIENCES ONLY. The film advertised has been
RATED R – FOR RELENTLESS TERROR VIOLENCE THROUGHOUT, SOME SEXUALITY, GRAPHIC NUDITY, AND STRONG LANGUAGE.
CUT TO BLACK
The title for “MJ Pictures appears on the screen”.
The screen slowly fades as we hear violent screaming all around. The screen goes black. Nothing can be seen. We can only hear and imagine what brutal events are taking place. A young woman, most likely a teenager is screaming her lungs out as if she is being hunted down. The woman cries out for help and then she lets out an enormous gasp. All is silent. Silence remains for a long while until suddenly, we hear an excruciatingly loud bang and then the woman starts screaming wildly once again.
As we hear the commotion we slowly move in on a lighted Jack-O-Lantern, glowing luminously in the pitch blackness.
We zoom into the Jack-O-Lantern’s eye. As we move through, the screaming comes to a stop and a title fades through the eye.
“WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE TRULY AFRAID?”
LOUD CHASE MUSIC PLAYS WITH THE FOLLOWING CLIPS.
We quickly see images of a man in a white, rubber mask slitting a young woman’s throat. Blood sprays onto the screen. We freeze on the man’s face and cut to black.
“THIS HALLOWEEN”
We see a terrified, half naked man running racing to a staircase.
The man in the white mask jumps out from the staircase and throws the half nude man into the wall.
“YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IT”
The man with the mask runs at full speed toward a girl as he chases her down a dark street filled with Halloween decorations.
“AGAIN”
Black Screen
We hear a woman breathing heavily. She then lets out an inhuman howl unlike anything you’ve heard before.
“Halloween Theme 2007” begins to play. The song bursts out at its 1:30 minute mark.
We see a quick clip of A little girl screaming into the camera.
A teenage girl is violently pulled back through a doorway, whilst banging her head on its side.
The man in the mask stabs a door with an enormous carving knife, covered with ghastly blood.
An elderly, slightly obese man looks strangely at the camera. The next thing we know, he is being strangled by the man in the mask.
A young, topless woman shatters through a window and falls to the cement.
A teenage girl looks at the camera with fear in her eyes.
The man in the mask quickly walks to the screen, holding a pitchfork.
A jack-o-lantern explodes as a knife slices through it.
A young woman abruptly back crawls across a muddy path.
Another young woman screams through a chain-linked fence as the man in the mask paces toward her.
The man in the mask towers over a helpless teenage boy, who is lying on the floor, seemingly near death.
A group of teenage girls walks down a sidewalk as the man in the mask stares at them from the shadows.
A teenage girl is sprayed with blood.
A hand reaches out toward the camera, in desperation.
The man in the mask runs at full force to the camera and slices the knife across the screen.
We immediately smash to black and stay on black for a few seconds.
The Jack-O-Lantern appears on the screen as the same screaming woman belts out even louder. A splash of blood splatters across the screen. The blood forms to create the title.
“HALLOWEEN”
The screaming woman cries some more.
The knife smashes into the screen, causing the title to break apart.
Fade in
A young woman stands in the middle of a room. She looks terrified. Her eyeliner droops down her sweaty cheeks.
Laurie
What’s the boogyeman?
We then stare at the man in the mask for a countless number of seconds. He doesn’t budge. He just stares coldly straight into our eyes, inhabiting our souls and filling them with fear. Fear of him and the night of “Halloween”
