THE BASE
Episode 6: Devestation
Starring
Matt O'Leary as Jake Smirk
Rashida Jones as Sophie Gardner
Luke Benward as Jamie Wynn

Kevin Durans as FIN
FADE IN: Armory.
Martin stands in the middle of the room, facing his three men, Ben, John, and Michael.
Martin brings his handgun up to his head and SHOOTS. Martin falls over, dead. Blood begins to spread along his head.
BEN
Oh, god!!!
FIN
Now that.... Is cheating.
MICHAEL
What? He's dead. Okay! He's dead!
FIN
I asked one of you to shoot him.
BEN
We're leaving- c'mon.... c'mon!
FIN
No... unfortunately...
BOOM!!!!!
Ben, John and Michael are knocked back into the wall. Ben is knocked through the door and into the hallway.
BOOM!!!!
There is another explosion. Ben manages to crawl out of the way, behind the wall, as he hears Michael and John being incinerated. Ben is frozen in fear.
The fire goes down, and Ben looks back into the room. Michael and John are dead. Still- the vast majority of the c4 is still there.
The video on the screen is flickering dead, but the audio still works.
FIN
Still there? I decided to give you guys a break. I only blew up some of it. Less than 1/8, I'd say. Just to give you an idea.
Ben crawls into the rubble. He spots a bag of machine guns, and grabs it. He takes one last look at the bodies and the screen, and crawls out.
CUT TO: Operation Room.
The whole crowd is screaming at each other, arguing for control.
Jake sits alone in one corner of the room, hands shaking. Finally, he stands up.
JAKE
Hey!
the crowd is silenced.
JAKE
Who here is good with computers?
CUT TO: Monitor room.
Jake and TY, a 22 year old college kid, walks behind him.
TY
Whoa. Can this see the whole place?
JAKE
Yeah.
Jake points to a monitor.
JAKE
There is the entrance. That's where they will come from.
TY
Jesus. They're really coming, then.
JAKE
Yeah.
Jake points to the button.
JAKE
That's the intercom. Can be heard throughout the entire building. Don't use that to communicate with us.
TY
What do we use?
Jake looks around and finds a pair of walkie-talkies.
JAKE
Here.
Jake hands him a walkie-talkie.
CUT TO: Ben runs down the hallway, and he sees the doorway leading into the monitor room.
BEN
Hey!
JAKE
Ben. Where's John and Michael... and Martin?
BEN
Dead... Martin.. martin killed himself. That guy made him!
JAKE
Who?
BEN
The guy... on the screen.
JAKE
Martin killed himself... What about John and Michael?
BEN
Dynamite... there was dynamite in the room. The guy blew up some of it. Killed them both.
JAKE
Christ.
Jake walks back into the room and sits in a chair. He turns to Ty.
JAKE
Whatever move they make, you tell us. You are our eyes.
TY
What if they try and take this place?
Jake grabs a machine gun out of Ben's bag.
JAKE
Then you have to defend yourself.
He hands the machine gun to Ty.
JAKE
They're coming, and we have to be ready.
CUT TO: Operation Room.
Sophie walks along the room, until she reaches the bodies of Erica and Harry. She bends down, frowning.
SOPHIE
What the....
The bodies are decomposing at an incredible rate. Right before Sophie's eyes, the bodies are rotting away.
SOPHIE
Where the hell are we?
SMASH TO BLACK.
