My Second Film Official Thread

Now, I am going to take preview-ing this a bit differently then I usually try and do, especially since I, to myself, am notorious for not finishing things, it seems like.

So, what I will do is set up a preview thread and then release different things based on how many pages of the script I finish.

Here is a checklist.

-After fifteen pages, expect a statement, by me, on the film, basically saying a little something about the general idea of it.

-After thirty pages, I will release the title of the film, as well as list the main characters and while I don’t really get into this, maybe who I picture playing the roles as well. Basically, a cast list.

-After forty pages, expect a poster. This is the only one I will have for the film.

-After seventy pages, since this limit, to me, guarantee’s I will finish it, expect a teaser trailer.

[P.S.- The film can very well be over seventy pages, so don’t take that as a run length, it is simply the last checkpoint for promotion]

In concluding, I also cannot begin to guess when this will be released, so that is not something I will use as promotion, I will simply tell you as soon as I know. This is a film I have worked on a while before, dropped and decided to have some fun with, so I am guessing mid-to-late November, but really, it could be sooner, could be later, depending on how easy it flows.

Well, I reached the fifteen-page limit, but don’t expect them all to come so quickly, as this is because I had some pre-done, and also the first few scenes were easy to do.

However, I will release this statement now:

“The film is sort of a mix between “A Mirror Image” and “Playing the Game” (the show I did- which I also hate, however). It is part ghost story, part love story, and part inner turmoil story. It is both light hearted in execution, and also, at times, darker and more serious.”

To eleborate, as I go on, I decided to keep you updated on how it is going, and through these updates, maybe a bit of the story will emerge. Actually, it is going well, and surprisingly, even with it's, at times, light heartedness, it is probably the closest to a tragedy I have done, because this man searches for love, but when it presents itself, he fails to really see it. What will happen?

Well, I will say that I am trying to make a film that is dark while appearing light; and complex while appearing very simple, since I do not mean complex in plot; I mean in terms of the main character's motivations and actions, even though they too seem simple.

Okay, I am getting quite farther, though I do not wish to do a poster, so I will simply update.

The film will not have a twist ending, nor a climatic one. I say this because I do not want it to be viewed in such a manner; and while it probably wouldn’t have been assumed, I will say not to expect one, or you will view the film in a completely different manner then I want you to.

Also, I will not say who or what they think; but I am in the process of getting feedback on what I have. This does not mean I am almost done yet, though, as it still will be quite a while. Up to a few weeks, maybe longer, maybe shorter.

I do hope you enjoy it; I am trying t make the majority of the real "action" take place within the characters so the script is as simple as can be. Thanks, again.

There was a day when I logged on and you were on as well but within a second or too you were off.

There will eventually be a grand welcoming in the future.

I am up to a good 70 or 80 pages finished, so in a week or two, it could be done. A teaser has been posted, and I am almost done editing what I have before I continue on. The rest of the film is planned out in great detail, as well. It is only a matter of typing it up.

The release date will be planned for a week or so after the film is done; that way, I won’t just spring it on everyone.

And now, let me give my customary and final comment on the film:

“The love story element of the film considers two people who, in their loneliness, jump at the chance for company. The main character, Thomas, however- is still living in the almost arrogant lifestyle with previous flame accustomed him too.”
