- X-5: House of M is a continuation from X-Men 4: M-Day, and is the second in a new trilogy. It is not part of the Marvel MR Universe, and is not associated with Batman's X-Men (that may or may not ever be released). It is part of the real life X-Men movie chronology.
- X-5: House of M is based on the comic book arc of the same now and will serve as a lead in to the Messiah Complex story arc to be covered in the trilogy finale "X-6: Messiah"
- Features Characters synonymous with alternate realities in the Marvel Universe, including Cable, Bishop and Rachel Summers.
- Despite being featured roles in "X-4: M-Day", characters such as Colossus and Bobby Drake will be reduced to cameo roles for "X-5: House of M"
