An Amazing Film Written: November 23 2007 By movie critic: nothintolose07
Plot: The way this movie is set up…is just perfect in so many ways. The flashbacks and the interrogations is a great way to do a movie and it was used well here. The interrogation scene has to be one of the most intense scenes I have ever seen/read. No lie. The way they interacted was amazing. Story 2 is about the group of teens. I thought that it was a little confusing with all the different characters. It took me about 2-3 times to read to get the what was going on with everyone. Overall though, what a great plot.
Rating: 4/4
Characters/Acting: Cillian Murphy needs a Reelie. What a performance. He is great in horror/drama movies, and he did not fail here. Paltrow was also very good as the detective. It will be interesting to see whether she comes back for the next film. I think that Murphy and Paltrow blow this movie out of the water in performance. The character development is very good for the most part. I feel like I got to know all the characters well.
Rating: 4/4
Fun/Boring to Watch: Nonstop action is a way to describe Blood Harmony. It is from the opening scene to the very last scene. No breaks in between.
Rating: 4/4
Final Take: Wow….just wow is all I can say. I can’t wait to see the sequel. What an amazing film. Great plot, characters, the whole 9 yards. However, the twist was ruined for me in the opening credits. Can’t wait for part 2.
FINAL RATING: 4/4

In all its glory Written: November 22 2007 By movie critic: genefilms
Here is a film that needed more of the glory. This very well written and acted film was very joyful and found it to be real thrilling and awesome. A very well made plot and great twist with a Kill-Bill like ending makes the sequels even more unwaitable, I loved it and think it deserves a reelie right here!

Reviewing Blood Harmony Written: November 25 2007 By movie critic: Penno
Review: Firstly, I was not keen on the film to begin with, however i was challenged to wait till after i'd seen it to comment, i did so. The beginning scenes involving the groups is jumpy and confusing to read, perhaps more scene setting was in order. The initial interrogation scenes are quite interesting, and builds some suspense. My only difficulty with these scenes is the continual "ann punches him". Firstly, seeing Gwyneth Paltrow continually punch someone, made me giggle. Secondly, it becomes a bit repetitive. Once the teens reach the campsite, the dialogue and character depth improves seven fold, however the continual swearing is off putting despite them being teens. The clues with various characters entering the forest was good, this is where the film peaks. Once one the characters are killed, i recall the lines Ross: Where is Bobby?! Sky: He’s… he’s… he’s dead… Ross: Fuck, shit balls! (Ross shouts at the sky.)This made me literally laugh out loud. I can see what is being attempted here, but much improvment is needed, to heighten the dramatisation of the scene. Once on the run, the teenagers dialoguie is some what intriguing. The interogation scenes at this point, could perhaps delve furthermore into the mind of jester, which brings me to the end of the film. The reason it scored so low, is because in todays horror/thriller industry the killer "killing for fun" doesn't cut it anymore. reading the whole film, and finding out the killer "did it for fun" was extremely disappointing. Overall decent attempt, but very disappointing end (Frankie Muniz playing Ross was very very funny, imagining frankie doing all that swearing and showing all the aggressiveness made me laugh so hard)
FINAL RATING: 1 1/2 stars
