Fun popcorn film and nothing more Written: November 22 2007 By movie critic: genefilms
The Wolfman is a remake of the classic horror film but doesn't do much to earn it. The cast it good expect for Gerard Butler who is a very low actor but he can yell. The story is smooth but it tends to really fall into a very not fresh beat. I wanted to say I enjoyed this but I didn't. The Wolfman is a fun popcorn film and nothing more.

My take on "The Wolfman" Written: November 23 2007 By movie critic: nothintolose07
Plot: The story feels like the typical horror movie of today. Teenagers/younger people are not very intelligent, and of course they always win in the end. The story moves forward with some pointless characters. However, I didn’t see one of the characters becoming the main bad guy. It sort of surprised me to say the least. A few of the scenes should have developed more and made it more interesting. The part where Dr. Lloyd meets Sam is one of the most pointless scenes in here. If there would have been more dialogue and intriguing conversation instead of 5 lines, it could have been one of the better scenes. Once again, typical horror movie. Death scenes are also stereotypical of today’s movies. There are definitely some good points, but also some bad points. Rating: 2/4 Characters/Acting: I believe that this part saved what would have been a normal movie to say the least. Who could have guessed it…character development in a horror movie! The changes that Sam goes through in the movie was very good. I believe that there could have been more development with Officer Brown, Joey, and Alex. I think developing characters is what is needed more in horror movies. You need an emotional attachment to the characters so when something important happens. Mary, Sam, and Chatham are the best characters here. Rating: 3/4 Fun/Boring to Watch: You know one of those movies where your always screaming at the screen cause you know the character is about to make a bad choice. This is one of those movies. It’s just fun to watch these and see the deaths that you know could have been avoided if it weren’t for characters who have a mind of a 2 year old. Final verdict, FUN. Rating: 3/4 Final Take: I know it sounds like I completely bashed this movie. It is not as bad as it came out. I swear. It is entertaining for most of it, and the characters are decent. It had potential, but it was typical horror right from the start. FINAL RATING: 3/4 stars
