The following is an excerpt from an interview with Kevin McKidd who plays Thor in the upcoming film 'Marvel: Ultimate Alliance' that is due to release some time in 2008.
Interviewer: What was the first thing that you said when they asked you to be in the movie?
McKidd: Well, they asked me to play Thor. I think he's the only character whose comics I haven't read. So I didn't know very much about him.
Interviewer: Will there be a sequel, or is it just one movie?
McKidd: Right now there is set to be a sequel in 2008 or 2009. A third is unknown as of right now.
Interviewer: What was the hardest scene to film?
McKidd: There's a scene where four of the heroes go to Atlantis, and I think the hardest part was having to hold our breath under the water. Anything special other than that can be helped by computer graphics, but that was pretty hard.
Interviewer: Who was probably the most fun to work with?
McKidd: I'd say that the most fun, was Chris Evans, who plays the Human Torch. The easiest to work with was basically a three way tie.
Interviewer: Who was that?
McKidd: The easiest to work with were Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr, and Sam Jackson. We are going with the 'Avengers' Nick Fury look, which requires a black actor. Once again, when they said Avengers, my first thought was 'What's that?' you know, but it was pretty fun to work in this movie, and to star. It's a fun movie, it's a family friendly environment, so we're hoping to have a lot of families go see it. Not a bad movie to check out.
McKidd goes on to say that the movie was great to work on, but a lot of time was spent in front of a green screen, and Iron Man had a lot of motion-capture work to do.
