The Long Coats Trilogy Part 2: Dead Men Running
By Pelé Hearne
Plot: The events of ‘The Forgotten Sons’ has drawn attention to Long Coats Jon Doe and The Saint. The corpse of a familiar face brings the shadowy Ravens out for revenge. Now Jon, Saint and Jimmy Gordon are marked dead men. The Organisation is after them and their only hope is to run.
Recap:
. As revealed in the first film, A Long Coat is a mercenary member of a mysterious group only known as The Organisation. Long Coats are taken from prisons and offered the chance to serve their term as men for hire rather than in a prison cell.
. Long Coats have several rules to follow. One is that they must never run. If they run, they will be hunted down and killed. Another rule is that they must work alone.
. In the first film Jon Doe and The Saint, two Long Coats whom are actually working together, are tasked with finding a missing doctor Jimmy Gordon. During the events of the film they discover Jimmy Gordon has been taken by another Long Coat. This confuses them as they believe that Long Coat cases never cross.
. Jon Doe eventually is contacted by Lee Harren, a work dealer for the Organisation. Lee Harren reveals to Jon that he knows Jon works with The Saint. Jon Doe panics and asks The Saint to kill Lee Harren. The Saint does so, but they soon discover Lee Harren was part of a small group of people who want to destroy the Organisation and they wanted The Saint's and Jon Doe's help.
. Lee Harren also revealed that somewhere in the world a group of ex Long Coats exist. Those few who have ran from The Organisation and made it to safety.
. Eventually Jon Doe and The Saint arrive in York looking for Jimmy Gordon.
. Jimmy Gordon has been held captive by Lane Murdock, a vicious Long Coat who knows his soul is condemned.
. A woman called Amy worms her way into Lane Murdock's life. He finally attempts to kill her which leads to her running away from him.
. Jon Doe comes across Amy who reveals where Lane is keeping Jimmy Gordon.
. Jimmy is rescued by The Saint as Jon Doe battles Lane Murdock. Jon Doe is finally shot by Amy who arrives revealing she too is a long coat, Raven, and here to take Lane Murdock in for questioning. She reveals the entire plan was to gather Jon Doe and The Saint in one play so she could kill them for breaking the rules (working together). Jimmy Gordon was also to die for he had seen plans to a weapon he had not meant to see.

Things to remember:
. Jon Doe has an odd obsession with closed shower curtains. He has to have them open.
. Jon Doe is a minor alcoholic.
. Karren, a girl Jon Doe was dating and opened up to, wrote a poem about him before The Saint dumped her in a random motel.
. It is revealed that Jimmy Gordon found some unusual plans for a possible weapon and had begun to blackmail the owner of those plans. This is believed to be a major reason why a Long Coat kidnapped him.
. Jimmy Gordon said "Aren't you a little short to be a storm Trooper?" when The Saint rescued him. The Saint had no idea what Jimmy Gordon was on about. This will play a part.
. The last scene of the film showed Amy being killed by The Saint in Mrs Gordon's house. It is revealed that Mrs Gordon actually wanted her husband dead. Jimmy sneers at her seeing him alive but a terrified Mrs Gordon screams that "The Ravens are coming" suggesting that Amy isn't the only Raven...
.... We now pick things up not long after Part 1 ended. Jon Doe had been shot and Jimmy Gordon was battling to save his life. Amy had drugged and kidnapped Lane Murdock and has taken him to an unknown location. The teaser at the end of the last film showed Lane Murdock being questioned by man whom revealed he was Lane's boss....

Guys, this is a long one... The third part is slightly longer still. I simply ask you read it all, every word. I know its a huge script so I'd suggest reading it in 50 page chunks. I put my heart and soul and a year of writing into this trilogy and each word is important. If you feel bored or like skipping pages then dont. Just take a break. I read every word people write in their scripts on MR because I understand how important those words are for them, so I ask for the same respect.
I really hope you enjoy.
