Title says it all.
Flight Plan is always the first springs to mind for me. Really intriguing mystery with the missing kid on the plane. and the conspiracy that the kid was never on the plane at all and is in fact dead. Was really well done and you're sitting there like "WTF is going on". And then it all comes down to a terrorist who wants to blow shit up. And it's played in such a pantomime villain fashion that it's just laughable. Horrible ending to an otherwise decent movie.

I AM LEGEND
Honestly, I consider it a bad movie because the ending was that pathetic. It started off so strong. Shame really.

Shawshank Redemption for sure. Still love it but that beach scene ruined it

I agree actually. Another film ruined by the ending is Return of the Jedi...

Shawshank Redemption for sure. Still love it but that beach scene ruined it i've often thought this. the movie ends for me when freeman gets out of jail. there's a great line in the voice over that would have made for such a good closer. then it drags out, and we get all the on the nose beach stuff.

Terminator Salvation jumps to mind. I wouldn't call the film good to begin with, but the ending is just absurd.
Sunshine, which could have genuinely been one of the greatest Sci-Fi films of all time with an amazing message and beautiful beautiful visuals turning into hack and slash also comes to mind. I still love Sunshine and I even love the hack and slash sections of the film, I just wish they'd of stuck to what made the first hour a fucking amazing ride.

Kick-Ass. It kicks out all of the genuine harsh criticisms of a real-life hero with the most absurd, victorious conclusion. Not to potentially spoil anyone so I'll be vague but the rocket launcher at the end is what kills it for me. I had a hard time thinking it a great film to begin with, I mean what happens with Big Daddy really worked but the RPG shot just ends it for me. I really wanted to like it.

Read the comic, it has the ending you want.

I still maintain that the jet pack was badass and that people completely overreacted to its inclusion. So it wasn't the comic ending (which is boring as fuck) it was a moment nonetheless. Comic book fans pissing their pants over adaptations not being picture perfect amuses me to no end.

Kick Ass had an awesome ending. I don't even wanna hear that bullshit about how the rest of the movie was an accurate depiction of what real life superheroes would have been. No, it wouldn't have. I'm sorry, that's bullshit. It's quite a ridiculous film. The movie is far better than the bullshit comic that millar shoveled out.
What comes to mind is Insidious. The first half was a legitimately scary horror film. Then the second half was over-the-top, silly shit. I lost all interest once the little Irish kid was doing a gig to Tiny Tim.

Read the comic, it has the ending you want. I haven't read the comic, well except the first issue, wasn't too bad. I mean, in retrospective it's a ridiculous film but it's comments aren't rendered useless by it's absurdity. It just jumps the shark for me at the end. Back to the Future Part III. I mean, it doesn't ruin it exactly but it could've been a much more clever ending. I actually think that while the film is obviously inferior to the previous installments, it's pretty amusing.
