Not sure if I can be very active coming up soon. I know the site has been running a little slow but I'm still trying really hard to put out some work and all around more activity for this place.
The reasons is that this is my last full week of summer before I start school, which is something I just learned of today. I have a shit ton of homework I still have to do so the second episode of "Son of God" will be out on either August 19th or August 26th. No promises though. After that, I will probably only have enough time to get out an episode a month. I'm aiming for around 8-10 episodes with a satisfying enough ending to make it end there but still leave some avenues open for a second "season". I expect this to be more a mini-series due to these changes.
Then, I'll be focusing on school and this job that I have an interview for on this upcoming Monday. If I am to get that, my entire free time will be spent either working or doing homework. Any other time I have, will be spent writing material.
I have a plan to save up enough money, about $1000 and that's going to take awhile, to get a camera and equipment. A couple friends of mine and I are going to film a short film. A friend and I are writing the screenplay now. It's a short comedy film about religion, should be good. We're also trying to make this music video for this local hardcore metal band and any other opportunities that come our way. In fact, one idea I was trying to push was a rewritten, shootable Son of God pilot. I have enough people involved, we'd just have to work around some things so that it works for us.
After all of this, I'll be searching for college and probably off by then. If everything goes as planned, and this is the biggest if on here, I'll be going to UCLA. This is the biggest if because the school is very expensive. I've worked myself to the bone to get the right scores on tests that I could very well get into the school. If I get into UCLA, I will actively pursue their film program and see where things take me from there. It's all very tentative and just wishful thinking as of now but I'm still pulling for that.
The point of this is not to say goodbye movie reels but just give some explanation for any absence I may have. What is likely to happen is that I may not be able to post much here but I'll try and stop in to post some of my writing now and then. I'll see what I can do and wish you guys the best of luck. I really hope we can get out of the slump and get our activity up again.
