Really dont like it. The site had a friendlier feel before. This is a little 90's for my taste.

a little 90's? lol
still trying to find a skin i really like. this is really sort of a middle ground one. cause i wasn't happy with the last one.
one of the main problems is colour. i'm just not sure on a colour scheme. i think we're over blue and white but i haven't really got any other ideas. so if anyone else does.

I agree that we should move on from the plain blue/white color scheme we've always had. I think what we need is something that a newbie can look at and instantly get the gist of what we're about.
What if we had more of a Hollywood theme? The banner at the top could look like the Hollywood sign, but obviously it would say Movie Reels instead. (I feel like we might have had something like that before, but I'm not entirely sure.) Maybe integrate the Chinese theater as well. Perhaps some walk-of-fame-esque stars along the sides of the page.

Sounds tacky, to be honest.
I've hated both looks since we changed skins, but that just sounds, awful.

I mean after all this site is still about the movies. I think this current look is really bland and it feels retro. Honestly, It feels too office-like (if that makes any sense at all). I think we need to bring back the colour to MR. Film is a visual medium and I know we're releasing scripts on this site but this is about film. I personally think we need a bit of colour, a bit of life. Look at entertainment sites that specialise in movies and games. I love IGN's look for instance. Its bright, its catchy. And I really loved and used the 'buttons' on the side. The links to various boards. I thought they were a good idea.

If you find a skin you like, it'll go up.

Well that was harder than I thought. Kudos to you guys. I spent all night looking and I honestly couldn't find a single skin that was right for this site. Some of them looked so shit.
I just think our colour scheme should go with shades of red. Total different direction to blue and we could see what people think once its up. Plus its kinda reminiscent of the red carpet.

First reaction to this newest design is I like it. The smaller font is the only thing that throws me off, but I'll get used to it.

Now we just need to advertise the fuck out of this place. Sometimes I feel like we should just up and move to a new host. Something about proboards gives me the feeling that its out of date and we could utilize other features elsewhere. That's just me though.

As someone who hangs out on forumotion and invisionfree boards, I like Proboards so much more. That said, from what I've seen some people look down on proboards forums for...some reason.
