Oh ho ho, that's right. I'm announcing a project. Crazy, right? WRONG FUCKERS. I know I announced this a long time ago, not in a galaxy far far away because that'd be stupid, but it's being worked on. It's being outlined by my two friends and I. Yes, we've gone and wrote up outlines/character backgrounds/etc. for an entire reboot of the non-OT Star Wars universe. I'm talking like new perspective on the Clone Wars, change in the relationships between characters, following the OT in a direction that we believe is more fair to what was originally put into place.
It's going well. I can't say when the script will be finished, it's hard to tell at this point, but I can say I'm dedicated to finishing the outline sometime these next two weeks. With the pace I've been working at, I'd say the script could be done within two months or so. I hope that this site is back in action by the time its done and all. The only thing getting in the way is my second novel I'm working on (I love being able to say that), summer homework and social activities such as going to the theaters with a lady friend and getting drunk with some pals here and there.
It will be a trilogy. I outlined the first and two friends are outlining the second and third, one friend each. We're not sure who is writing what scripts yet, I'm assuming I'll write the first script and they'll write each of what they outlined too. I'm sure they'll be cool with it being posted on here, I'd credit them properly and they were cool with it back when I told them about the rewrite contest.
Here's the title crawl that was written up for it, I don't wanna say I wrote it because I don't recall actually writing it:
"Over a thousand generations ago, the first remnants of what would become the JEDI ORDER was born. Dedicating their lives to PEACE and JUSTICE, this Order trained themselves and garnered a better understanding of the power that binds the galaxy together, surrounding every sentient being in it; THE FORCE.
Shortly after the GALACTIC REPUBLIC was formed, the Jedi swore fealty to this new government. However, a group of Jedi decided to disband from the Order and the Republic, embracing the Dark Side of the Force. These outcasts soon created a warrior sect of their own, called THE SITH.
Over the years, the Jedi and Sith fought great wars against each other, shaking the galaxy to it’s core. Many lives were lost, however good triumphed over evil in the end: the Sith were virtually wiped out.
Now, the Jedi face a greater and even more powerful threat. One that could threaten the very galaxy they swore to protect…"
I can promise you the following:
- Sith vs Jedi Action
- Senate Scenes to a minimal, as in I only have one and I doubt much less.
- No ten year old Anakin. He'll be like 16, or so.
- Darth maul not being a pussy ass biotch
- Clone Wars being a lot cooler and better.
- NO JAR JAR BINKS
I think I won you over on this one, didn't I? And now I just realized that this post is the longest post ever. I guarantee half of you are going to open this and go:
