Making a few changes. So things will be a bit weird for a while. Would put the site into maintenance but wouldn't want to bring a stop to the recent activity lol.

Obviously you can see changes have been made. Entertainment board and the lounge have been combined, so literally just post everything in there. that's not a piece of writing or anything like that.
side bar added. just for ease of access, gives the site a different look.
other changes are in the works, new banner etc. we're seeing what we can do. any other suggestions are most welcome obviously.

I'm liking the changes so far, I have to admit though. I think one change that should be made is getting rid of the shoutbox. I think it's been a real detriment to people actually posting on the board in the past and it seems pointless. We could have discussion threads, with specific topics, or a debate league or something. Just having it there so people come and chat, then don't actually post seems like such a silly idea.

I agree with Cannon. Axe the shout box. I still call for a points system where people cant release any work until they've posted x amount of reviews.

Btw, I love the new look. Well done Dazzle. can't take credit for it. starting making some changes, cannon jumped on board and did most of the coding and graphics cause i didn't fancy waiting an hour and a half for photoshop to load on my shitty laptop. |

Thank you to anyone and everyone who had anything to do with this. I'm glad some people are taking initiative and if there is anything that I can help with, I'm more than willing to.
Things like this seem small but go a long way to making people want to post here. If stuff like this continues I can see this place becoming more active again. This upcoming school year I'll be living at home so I can definitely see myself being here a lot more. Still probably not as much as I used to, but I can see myself around here a lot.
Also I am 100% behind Jester's points idea. Something such as that (doesn't have to be points) that encourages people to review scripts is definitely good...so long as people don't simply make fake crappy reviews in order to be able to put out their own scripts.

So, the more I've looked at this skin over the last month or whatever the less I've liked it. Just wondering what people actually think of it?
Do you want something different, is the sidebar too much? Do you want different colours? Do you prefer the old skin? "Making some changes" still stands true, I know for a fact Daz is committed to doing whatever it takes to make people more comfortable posting here.

I actually love the sidebar and use it.
I dont know if there is any way of doing this but would we possibly extend the "previews" of the boards? That makes no sense.
Ok, so on the main page we have "The Lounge" and next to "the lounge" we have the most recent thread thats been posted. Is there anyway to see the most recent three threads?
Only reason I say this is sometimes comments are lost. For instance I posted a comment on a thread in the "movie announcements" and then commented on another thread. So unless anyone bothers to click and see if there are any other updates to that section of the site, whatever I have posted will be lost. In the days when we had a lot of activity these boards would be updated all the time so it was common practice for me to check them. These days its a little rarer for these board to get used to I think a lot of stuff is lost. Especially in the sub boards.
Anyone agree?
But overal I love the site as it stands.
