Dawn of the Dead
EXT. DESERT - DAY
A 1967 Chevy Impala is seen speeding down the desert road,
and "Black Sunshine" can be heard playing inside the car.
There are 5 people packed into it, and a bunch of suitcases
are in the trunk. Tommy, the oldest of the five, is driving.
He keeps looking at the gas gauge, and Marie starts getting
pretty worried.
MARIE
We're alright for gas... Right?
TOMMY
Yeah we should be good...
MARIE
Are we going to run out of gas
before we get to the nearest gas
station or not, Tommy? You're
scaring me, looking up and down
and up and down like that.
TOMMY
Yeah, we still have three fourths
of a tank of gas left. Don't worry
baby, I wouldn't lie to you.
Marie takes his word for it, and Lenny leans forward from
the middle of the back seat.
LENNY
Hey, do you think you could stop
for a few minutes? I really have
to pee. Like, bad.
Tommy sighs, and he pulls over to the side of the road. He
turns the car off, and everyone gets out. Marie and Jenna
walk off, Tommy and Eric walk over to the other side of the
car, and Tommy gets out a cigarette. Lenny runs out off the
road for a while until you can't really see him very well
any more.
TOMMY
(puffing cigarette)
Oh, what a god damn trip, let me
tell you...
ERIC
Are we doing alright for gas?
TOMMY
Hmm? Hell no. We got like, an
eighth of a tank.
ERIC
Damn. Where the hell is the
closest town, anyway? I don't want
to die.
TOMMY
Town's right there.
Tommy points ahead of the car, and Eric can see a few
buildings in the distance. One of the first buildings is a
gas station.
ERIC
Damn. We got shit lucky, stopping
for gas. And Lenny was saying we
wouldn't need it...
TOMMY
I know.. Who let him come with us
anyway?
ERIC
It was Jenna's idea. She's his
sister, and she's really worried
for the kid's social health. No
offense, but I don't think he can
get very social at all...
TOMMY
Ha. Ain't that the truth...
Tommy throws his cigarette on the ground and wipes it out.
He looks ahead at the nearby town, and then he looks over at
the girls, who are on their way back to the car. He sees
Lenny in the distance jogging back, too.
TOMMY
Good. They're all coming.
The two girls get to the car, and Tommy and Eric move out of
their way so that the girls can get in. Jenna just happens
to glance at the gas tank and she gets back out.
JENNA
You fucking told us all that you
had almost a full tank left!
TOMMY
Shut up! I didn't want to scare
Marie! The town's like, half a
mile that way anyway!
Lenny gets back to the car and jumps in the back seat.
TOMMY
Now let's go.
Tommy gets into the car and turns the key. The engine starts
and the car is now speeding down the road.
INT. GAS STATION - DAY
The view inside the gas station shows the car pulling up
beside one of the pumps. Tommy gets out and starts pumping
gas, and Eric runs into the station, pulling out a 50 dollar
bill from his wallet. He walks in and looks around. It's
completely empty.
ERIC
Hello?
Eric starts wandering around the station, trying to find the
attendant. He sees some knocked down bottles of motor oil,
and he carefully steps forward, avoiding slipping all over.
He looks down at his feet, and he starts to see blood.
ERIC
Oh shit. Oh shit.
Eric keeps walking and he finds a hand on the ground. He
bends forward onto his knees and vomits. He keeps vomiting,
and he hears a screech. He turns and something jumps on him
from a long distance.
ERIC
Holy shit! Help! Help!
Eric is holding the thing back, but barely. He is about to
let go and a gun is fired. The zombie falls off of Eric,
dead. Eric lays on the ground, completely motionless. A cop
walks up to Eric, pointing the gun at his forehead.
KIPBORN
Say something.
ERIC
Get that fucking thing out of my
face! How's that for saying
something to you?
KIPBORN
Gets the point across for me, to
be completely honest.
The cop puts his gun away and he helps Eric up to his feet.
KIPBORN
Lieutenant James Kipborn buddy.
What's your name?
ERIC
Eric... Eric Lawson... What the
hell was that?
KIPBORN
That was a zombie. We need to find
a place to stay. Fucking town's
full of the things.
Tommy, Lenny, Jenna, and Marie all run into the station.
TOMMY
We heard shots. Didn't think
anything of it at first, but we
decided to check it out.
ERIC
Yep. Everything is gonna be fine.
Got my ass saved by this dude.
TOMMY
So where's the attendant?
KIPBORN
Attendant is right over there...
Kipborn points over to where Eric was being attacked, at the
very little amount of anything left of remains of the
zombie.
JENNA
God. What was it?
KIPBORN
Zombie. Town's full of 'em. If it
wasn't for me being here, your
friend would be one of them.
TOMMY
Thank God you decided to be here
at the time then. Thanks man. Any
way to repay you?
KIPBORN
Where you all headed?
TOMMY
Minnesota... Back home...
KIPBORN
Well, there isn't a damn living
thing left for the next 100 miles,
so you mind if I tag along? I
swear to God I'm not some kind of
psychopathic ax murderer.
The five friends look at each other, and Tommy looks back at
Kipborn.
TOMMY
Shit, I don't see why not. It's
gonna be a tight squeeze. We're
fitting into that thing.
Tommy points at his Impala at the gas pump.
KIPBORN
Actually. I'll just drive up my
car. The cop car, you know,
sitting about 20 feet from yours.
I'll just follow you guys up.
TOMMY
That'll work too. Alright, let's
go you guys.
The five friends hop into the Impala, three of them
squeezing themselves in the back seat so that they will fit
in, and Tommy turns the key. He starts to drive off, and
Kipborn gets into his car, speeding a little to follow and
catch up. The scene fades and "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC
plays in the background.
EXT. MINNESOTA CITY ROAD - DAY
The two cars are seen driving down a seemingly deserted
street in Minnesota. They are looking for other people, but
they can't find any. Tommy pulls up to his house, and sees
that both of his parents' cars are in the driveway, although
there is no activity at all going on. "Highway to Hell"
begins to fade out slowly.
TOMMY
What the hell is going on? Why is
there no movement?
MARIE
Well, they are like, 50 after all,
Tommy. Maybe they're just
relaxing.
TOMMY
Yeah, I'll check quick.
Tommy gets his cell phone out of his pocket and dials his
parents' home phone number. He waits a few seconds, and
there is no answer at first. He sees someone move across the
window, but it was pretty quick, and he couldn't tell who it
was. The answering machine finally picks up, and Tommy hangs
up his phone.
TOMMY
Did you guys see that?
Tommy looks around the car, and all of his friends nod.
Kipborn gets out of his car, and he goes up to the driver's
seat window of the Impala. Tommy rolls the window down.
KIPBORN
You saw somethin' in that house
move, right?
TOMMY
Yeah. I was actually getting ready
to go check out what it was.
KIPBORN
Well, if you're going in, I'm
going with you. I don't know what
it was, but judging by the amount
of people not around in this
place, I'm thinking that everyone
is dead... Or undead.... or
whatever.
TOMMY
Alright, whatever.
Tommy gets out of the car and Kipborn follows him onto the
front porch. Tommy opens the door and looks around. He
doesn't see anything, so he keeps walking. Kipborn follows
close behind with his hand on his gun. They see a recliner
facing the other way, rocking back and forth. Tommy walks up
to it and turns it, and is knocked off of his feet by
something. It is on top of him like whatever was on Lenny at
the gas station in New Mexico. Tommy is fighting it off, and
Kipborn shoots it in the head.
TOMMY
Holy shit!
Tommy runs out, followed by Kipborn, and they jump into
their cars, quickly backing out of the driveway and flying
down the street. As they go by, a lot of wreckage can be
seen. They eventually stop to see someone laying on the
ground, panting heavily. They can't yet tell if they are a
zombie or not, so Kipborn gets out of his car and walks up
to them, his gun pointed at their face.
KIPBORN
Talk.
The man just lays there. He picks his head up, but doesn't
say anything. He has a bullet wound in his stomach.
KIPBORN
Say something dammit! I'm not
afraid to shoot your ass.
LIMP
A'ight. For one thing, get dat
mothafuckin' gun outta my fuckin'
face.
KIPBORN
Good. You're not dead. Get in my
car.
LIMP
Why? I mean, what's goin' on?
Kipborn looks at the man.
KIPBORN
Not real sure, to be completely
honest with you. Just get in the
car, we'll all figure this thing
out.
LIMP
Just us?
KIPBORN
Yep. Us and them.
Kipborn points to the Impala full of people, and Limp looks
at it. He takes a second glance, finally recognizing it.
LIMP
Holy shit! Tommy! What the fuck's
going on man?
Tommy leans out of his window slightly so he can be heard
more cleary.
TOMMY
Yo, not too much Limp. Just get
into his car. Don't worry, we know
him. We're finding somewhere to
stay so we don't end up like the
rest of them.
LIMP
A'ight.
Limp gets into the car, and the two cars drive off.
INT. MALL OF AMERICA - DAY
The friends and Kipborn all have their bags and are inside
the Mall of America. They are looking for a place to find to
store their bags, and Tommy throws his bags to Eric.
TOMMY
When you find the spot, call me.
I'm going in there to find some
defense for us.
ERIC
Alright. I'll call you then.
TOMMY
Cool.
Tommy walks over to Marie and they kiss.
TOMMY
I love you, baby.
MARIE
We're only going to be apart for
like, 30 seconds.
TOMMY
Just in case one of us gets
infected by whatever it is that's
spreading, I wanted to do that one
more time.
MARIE
Oh... I never really thought of
that. Love you.
Tommy goes into the nearby ammo shop, and the others start
looking around again for storage space. They stop at the big
roller coaster in the mall.
ERIC
I've always wanted to ride this
thing. Before we leave, we have
got to ride this.
JENNA
Why did I pick you to date again?
ERIC
Because of our friends, I'm the
only one not related to you in
some way.
LENNY
That would be the reason...
LIMP
So, are we gonna find a place, or
are we just gonna stay here all
night?
KIPBORN
I've been here once, and I
honestly don't think that there is
really a good spot to sit these
bags and stuff. I'm hoping we
aren't in here for too long, but
I'm not sure of the situation.
JENNA
I'd assume that we're stuck living
here, only for the simple fact
that everyone is dead, and we will
be soon enough.
Everyone looks at Jenna as if a bomb had just gone off. She
looks at everyone awkwardly.
JENNA
No, I only meant, you know, if we
were to not stay in here.
TOMMY
I'm with Jenna on this one.
They all turn around to see Tommy. He's got a giant cart
with all kinds of guns and ammo in it. Kipborn walks up to
the cart and throws his extra ammo in it.
KIPBORN
Everyone get as much extra ammo as
you can hold, and be sure that if
you go anywhere without the rest
of the group, at least one of them
is with you. We do everything
together, up until we know that
the place is secured.
Everyone nods their heads and start putting guns on their
person. Tommy puts one on the inside pocket of his jacket
and one in the front of his pants. Everyone else puts them
where they will fit, and Kipborn takes a rifle, puts the
strap on it correctly, and puts it around his back. They all
finish with the guns, then they start loading their bags
with ammunition.
INT. OSHKOSH IN THE MALL - DAY
Tommy and Marie are walking through the mall hall and they
run inside the store when nobody's looking at them. They
find a place in the back, in what is presumably a storage
closet, and they start to make out. Tommy is reaching inside
Marie's shirt, and they hear a thud. Tommy turns toward the
door, where it came from, and he opens it a little bit. He
doesn't see anything, then he sees a shirt rack move. He
goes over to it, and he moves some shirts around. Inside it,
he sees one of the zombies, just looking the other way. He
cocks his gun and waits.
TOMMY
Hey bitch! Right here!
The zombie turns around and is shot in the face. It is now
officially dead for good, and Tommy motions for Marie to
come, and they leave the store back out into the main
hallway. There, they see Lenny's head being dragged by one
of the zombies in the other direction.
MARIE
Oh my god!
Marie looks away before throwing up, and Tommy gets his gun
out again.
TOMMY
God how I hate doing this shit.
Tommy starts opening fire, taking out one zombie at a time.
Finally it's down to him, one other zombie, and Marie, and
Tommy shoots. He misses completely. He tries to fire again,
but is completely out of ammo for his gun.
TOMMY
Damn!
He gets a pistol out of his jacket pocket and starts firing.
The zombie is too quick, and he keeps missing. He sees
Kipborn about 40 yards back with a sniper rifle on its
stand. He points to Tommy, giving him a thumbs up. Tommy
dives out of the way, pulling Marie with him, and Kipborn
shoots the zombie in the back of the head, killing it.
TOMMY
Holy shit! That was an amazing
shot!
KIPBORN
I'm a cop. Did you expect anything
less from me?
TOMMY
I just didn't realize that you
were such an amazing shot with a
sniper rifle is all.
KIPBORN
Learn something new every day I
guess.
TOMMY
How'd they get in here, anyway? I
thought we locked the place down.
KIPBORN
Either we missed something in the
past few days or they were already
in here.
Tommy nods, not thinking of that, and Marie starts flipping
out.
MARIE
Do neither one of you guys care
that one of our friends was killed
by them?
TOMMY
Well yeah we care, but there isn't
a damn thing that we can do about
it now, Marie!
MARIE
Don't fucking yell at me!
Marie storms off, and Eric sees her. She runs up to him and
starts crying.
ERIC
Hey, what's wrong? It's gonna be
alright.
MARIE
(sobbing)
It's Lenny... He's... He's dead...
ERIC
Oh God... Damn...
This continues as the scene fades out.
EXT. ROOF OF THE MALL - DAY
Tommy is seen later that day, standing on the roof to the
mall. He is looking down at the deserted lot. He sees the
huge pile-up of cars about 50 yards from the front entrance
to the mall. He continues to look down, and he sees some
zombies off the parking lot. He runs down into the little
hole that he found that got him up there.
TOMMY
Guys! Make sure all the doors are
locked! There is a flood coming,
and it's headed right for us! Make
sure that all entrances are
blocked!
Tommy hears them all moving around, then he gets his rifle
ready. It's on a stand, with the scope sitting on top of it.
He aims at the flood.
TOMMY
Time for some fun, bitches!
He starts firing shots, hitting zombies, and knocking them
down. By the time that he runs out of his current ammo
stock, there are only about 5 zombies left. He gets away
from the gun and just looks. They seem to not know what's
going on, and eventually they turn and go somewhere else.
TOMMY
(to himself)
That's right, fuckers. Get the
hell out of here. This is my turf.
Tommy goes back into the building, and he sees everyone in a
circle around a fountain.
TOMMY
They left. I think I scared them
off, but then again, I'm not 100
percent sure that they can be
scared. I'm not even sure if they
can think. They can't talk, but
that's all we know about now.
Everyone continues to look at him.
TOMMY
Just thought that I'd let you know
that they were gone.
ERIC
Yeah, gone... For now. What
happens when they come back? What
happens if we missed some spots
when we were searching the mall,
and there are still more in here?
TOMMY
Then we'll kill them.
KIPBORN
Yeah, but I looked at our ammo
stock. It will only last us about
two weeks.
TOMMY
Really? In the Mall of America,
there is only enough ammo to last
two weeks?
KIPBORN
Yeah, I really didn't find much
ammo, or something that you could
use as ammo to be completely
truthful to ya. So I'm not sure
how long it will last exactly, but
the rate that we've been using it,
that's my estimate.
TOMMY
Damn. When we run out, I guess
we're just going to have to leave,
find more, and find somewhere else
to hide. We're going to survive
this, I guarantee you that.
MARIE
Just make sure that you keep this
promise. The last time you
promised me something, we were
about out of gas. That's what got
us into this whole mess, remember?
Tommy looks at her, then he looks down. He can't think of
anything to say, and she just lays back on what she's been
using as a sleeping bag.
TOMMY
You know, we would have been in
this boat before. It's not like
all the damn zombies were my
fault!
MARIE
No, but the point is, you lied to
me! I'm your fucking girlfriend
for Christ's sake, and you lied to
me! How in the fuck am I supposed
to trust you?
TOMMY
I didn't want you to wo---
MARIE
Didn't want me to worry? Why would
I be worried? If you would have
been honest with me, it wouldn't
have mattered so much, whether we
ran out of gas or not.
Tommy turns around, and turns back real quick.
TOMMY
Hide somewhere.
Kipborn stands up and looks over Tommy's shoulder. There are
about 50 zombies walking down a long hallway right toward
the group.
TOMMY
I thought you had the whole mall
locked down!
KIPBORN
We did! But there isn't any time
for this shit, and I'll be more
than happy to shoot you and then
shoot them if you don't shut your
mouth and start killing some!
Kipborn pulls out two small SMGs and starts running at the
zombies. He dives at them, shooting at the same time, taking
a bunch of them out. He dives into one, sending it flying
backward and knocking its arm off. He shoots another in the
back of the head, and he shoots the one he injured before.
One starts running straight for Marie, and it is shot down
in mid-jump, sent straight to floor, completely taken out.
Tommy sees one right behind Marie and he shoots it, almost
taking her out.
MARIE
You almost shot me!
TOMMY
You almost got bit!
Tommy looks around and sees one that looks pretty familiar.
TOMMY
Who is that? Eric? Say something
Eric. Tell me something.
The zombie says nothing, but continues to move. Tommy points
his gun at it, but he doesn't shoot.
JENNA
Shoot him! Before he takes us with
him!
TOMMY
I can't! He's my friend! I just...
I can't shoot him!
MARIE
He isn't your friend anymore! He's
one of them! Now shoot him before
he kills you!
Tommy trips over the ledge of a fountain in the mall, still
moving backward. He is consistently pointing the gun, but
not shooting. He closes his eyes and hears a gunshot. He
looks at his gun, not realizing if he shot or not. He sees
the zombie now face down in the fountain, Kipborn standing
at its feet.
KIPBORN
What the fuck was the bright idea?
If this is what's going to go on,
I'm just gonna shoot your ass dead
right now. We are in this to
survive, not to die! I came here
with you to overcome this! Not to
be a part of it! Now you can help
us out when shit like this happens
or you can go out and die with the
rest of those fucking things!
TOMMY
He was my best friend!
KIPBORN
Exactly! He was your best friend!
The keyword in that sentence is
'was'! 'Was' isn't worth our
fucking lives!
TOMMY
Whatever. This is fucking
bullshit.
KIPBORN
Why is it bullshit? Because I'm
the one who knows exactly what is
going on, and I know exactly how
to beat these things?
TOMMY
Then why don't you go beat them,
and those of us who don't know
what we're doing can just go get
bit?
KIPBORN
If you really want to know, all I
know is how to beat them one at a
time. There are billions of these
things, and to be honest, I don't
think that I would be able to beat
the whole outbreak. All you have
to remember is that they won't die
unless they are shot in the head.
Tommy walks over to Marie and sits down, eventually laying
back.
TOMMY
I'm sorry. We've been locked in
the mall for weeks, and we're
gonna start running low on food
pretty soon. We need to find
somewhere that it is safe, but
first we need to plan this out. We
have to get out of this mall
eventually.
KIPBORN
Yeah we do. Planning is only the
beginning. We need to find
entertainment, too.
EXT. ROOF - NIGHT
It's 11:45 PM, and the group has turned the mall parking lot
lights on. They are looking down at the now huge group of
zombies, which are actually split up into two groups. Tommy
and Kipborn are holding guns, and the others are watching
them.
KIPBORN
Limp, start the watch on my count
of three. We have two minutes to
kill as many as we can.
TOMMY
Alright.
The two men take aim, pointing to their group.
KIPBORN
1..... 2..... 3!
Limp starts the watch, and the two guys start shooting. They
take the zombies down one at a time, and after the two
minutes, they both look at the groups of zombies.
TOMMY
You won man. You kicked the shit
out of me. I got, 54... and you
got... 86... Holy shit. I suck.
KIPBORN
Or I've been doing this a lot and
have a lot more practice than you
do.
LIMP
Or it's just that Tommy sucks ass
at everything.
TOMMY
Fuck you, Limp.
LIMP
Come on, dawg. You know I'm
fuckin' with ya.
TOMMY
Well, you know I could kick your
ass even if you weren't, right?
LIMP
Pfft. Love to see ya try it.
Limp cracks a cocky smile, and Tommy grins, too.
TOMMY
Don't try me man. You know I'll do
it.
KIPBORN
Settle down kids. We need to plan
this thing out now. Like, how are
we going to start? Where are we
going to head? A lot of questions
that need answered.
JENNA
He's right. Let's get this thing
figured out. We need a place that
we can go that's abandoned. Then
we can repopulate and what not.
LIMP
I got your reproduction right
here! Haha!
Jenna gives limp a disgusted look.
TOMMY
Come on guys. We really have to
think about this. I'd say that the
first thing we have to do is
guarantee safe passage to a car.
It doesn't have to be the Impala,
it could be anything. But we need
to be able to fit the 5 of us into
it, and we need to be able to get
to it without getting bit.
Limp sees a Toyota Supra not too far off.
LIMP
What about that one? I know how to
get them things goin' good.
TOMMY
Whatever, as long as you don't get
killed when you're running out in
the lot to get to it, I don't
care.
LIMP
A'ight. Works for me.
Tommy looks at the others.
TOMMY
Now we need to find out where
we're going to be going. We need
to find some place that they can't
get to, and it needs to be
abandoned.
JENNA
My parents have a cabin out in the
Rockies. If we can get there, I'd
say we use that until we find a
different place, there's a huge
superstore right next to it, chock
full of food.
TOMMY
Well, it won't necessarily be full
when we get there, but we'll just
bring some from here in case. When
do you guys suggest we leave?
KIPBORN
I'd say we get all the food we
can, pack it in the Toyota, and
then drive out there. We need to
get all the ammo out of the mall,
too.
TOMMY
OK. I'll be sure to gather the
rest of it tonight. Limp will be
more than happy to help me out,
too.
LIMP
What? I ain't goin' nowhere alone,
and you ain't gonna make me!
TOMMY
Whatever, puss.
Jenna sighs.
MARIE
Seriously guys. I don't wanna die
yet.
TOMMY
Don't worry, we won't die. I can
promise you that.
They all continue to sit, planning this out. "Hell's Bells"
by AC/DC plays for the remainder of the scene as the people
continue talking.
EXT. MALL PARKING LOT - DAY
The scene opens in the mall parking lot. Limp and Tommy are
seen standing at the front door, and there is a huge flood
of zombies not far down the lot. The Toyota Supra that they
are after is right outside the door.
TOMMY
You sure that you want to do this?
LIMP
Don't worry, dawg. I'm positive
that I'm gonna do this.
TOMMY
Alright dude. Don't die out there.
Tommy reaches out his hand, and Limp grabs it, and shakes
it. Limp then pulls Tommy in in a quick hug.
LIMP
I'll be back. Don't worry. I'll be
back in like, a minute.
TOMMY
Alright, I'm gonna hold you to
that.
Kipborn is seen turning the corner at this moment.
KIPBORN
He getting the car?
TOMMY
Yeah. He's going now. Get the
girls out here with their stuff.
Kipborn runs back and a minute later is seen with the two
girls, Jenna and Marie. They are watching as Limp runs out
the door. "Miss Murder" by AFI plays and Limp unlocks the
front door and runs out. He starts running to the parking
spot, and the zombies spot him.
LIMP
Oh shit!
He goes to a dead sprint and gets to the car. He tries to
open the door, but it's locked. He reaches into the front of
his pants for his gun, but it's not there.
LIMP
Shit! Where the fuck...
TOMMY
What the hell is he doing?
The zombies are closing in, and Limp backs up. They are now
surrounding him and he kicks the window in. He dives into
the car, pulls some wires from inside the ignition area and
starts trying to hot wire it. The zombies are trying to
climb in, and he is trying to stay as far back as possible.
He looks at his arm that just started bleeding when he was
out of the car.
LIMP
Oh no you fuckin' didn't.
He punches the zombie, knocking it out of the window, and he
starts the car. He backs up, hitting a few more, and he
drives to the door. He hits the emergency brake and the car
slides, stopping parallel with the front of the mall.
Everyone starts packing their stuff into the trunk which he
just popped open, and they quickly pile into the car.
TOMMY
Alright we're good. Drive!
Limp starts flying down the lot, hitting zombies. Tommy
looks down and spots Limp's bleeding arm.
TOMMY
What the fuck happened to you? Did
you get bit? You got bit, didn't
you!
LIMP
What? No! It's from the window!
Tommy takes a closer look.
TOMMY
My ass! That is shaped exactly
like a bite!
LIMP
Whatever.
Kipborn pulls his gun out without Limp seeing, not even
looking in the rear view mirror. Kipborn looks at Tommy, and
Tommy nods. The girls hold their ears, and Kipborn pulls the
trigger. He shoots Limp, and the bullet goes through Limp's
head. Tommy grabs the wheel, and Kipborn starts pushing Limp
out the window. "Miss Murder" has stopped, and now the
background music is "Raining Blood" by Slayer.
KIPBORN
He's not budging!
TOMMY
I got all the time in the world.
Kipborn finally gets Limp out of the car, and Tommy climbs
into the driver's seat. Kipborn in turn climbs over to the
passenger seat, and the camera pans out, showing the outer
view of the car. There are zombies running right behind the
car, and one jumps, leaping right onto the back. It slams
its head against the rear windshield, cracking it. The girls
start screaming, and Kipborn leans out of his window. He
points his gun at the zombie.
KIPBORN
You're gonna not gonna live to
regret that, sucker.
Kipborn shoots the zombie, sending it into the other ones
that are right behind the car, stopping them. The car drives
off into the distance, and the scene fades to black. "Enter
Sandman" by Metallica plays, and the credits begin to roll.

The scene comes back on, and it shows Tommy, leading the
group into an abandoned house. It's not too rundown, and it
will work for a while.
TOMMY
You know, this really doesn't look
that bad at all. It'll work for
me, but I'm never too picky.
MARIE
It's in real nice shape for being
abandoned... I like it.
TOMMY
Let's check out the inside then.
They go inside, and it's pitch black. Tommy turns on the
flashlight in his hand, and about 20 zombies jump out at
them. The scene again fades to black.
