Plot
Real Estate Agent John (Ricky Ullman) has a steady life. His best friend and workmate Jake (Frankie Muniz) always have a story to tell about their usually one night stand adventures with women. But what happens when John falls for Becca (Amber Heard), a girl he briefly "met" at a club?
Becca and John go on a journey, finding different things about each other, and universally, love itself.

Producer Judd Apatow attached himself to the project after director Tom Macdonald sent him the script just 2 weeks before filming began. Judd says he joined on because he calls 'John and Becca's Love Story,' quote, "A mix between Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It's great!"
Star Ricky Ullman had to make himself look older for his role as John, so he grew facial hair. Ullman originally auditioned for the role of Jake, John's best friend, the part that Frankie Muniz finally got, but Macdonald saw a lot of potential in Ullman from his work on 'Where Were We?'.
