INT. Train afternoon sunset
Thomas Webb is sitting on the train. He is reading the "Gotham Gazette" the headline reads, "Joker Holds Bank Hostage. 7 Dead 20 Injured." Thomas turns his head and looks at the Chicago skyline. He is wearing a Chicago White Sox hat and a Chicago Blackhawks coat. He has blond hair and he is about six foot three.
THOMAS
See ya soon Chicago. Well, Gotham here I come.
The train is now steadily moving ahead. Thomas looks around the train. He picks up a magazine and starts to read it.
THOMAS (V.O.)
"Gotham City was founded in 1635 by a Norwegian mercenary and the British later took it over. During the American Revolutionary War, Gotham City was the site of a major battle and rumors held it to be the site of various occult rites."
Thomas flips through and starts reading a different paragraph of the article.
THOMAS (V.O.)
"Gotham City went through a rough period. People like Thomas Wayne and his family tried to make it better, his wife and him were shot down. It was a dark and rainy November. They had just come back from seeing a production of "The Mark of Zorro". Nowadays Gotham has Policemen like Commissioner James Gordon. Gotham even has a masked vigilante who goes by the name of Batman, but he isn't the only one. Gotham also has Robin, Batgirl, The Question, Nightwing, and The Huntress. Crime also follows these good doers."
Thomas turns the page and there is no continuation to the article. He throws it back into his bag of things.
Engineer (on a intercom)
Next Stop, Gotham City. Home of the Gotham Goliaths 2007 World Series Champions.
Thomas stands up puts, some of his stuff away, zips up his track bag, and walks down the train idol. Two guys give him a weird look. One of them with a beard looks at the other one. The other one nods to the bearded one. They follow after Thomas. Thomas turns down a street. The bearded thug walks next to him for a while and then pushes him into and alleyway. The bearded thug holds Thomas against the building wall.
BEARDED THUG
Give me all of your money.
THOMAS
I'm sorry I don't think I can't let this happen.
The two thugs are confused the clean shaved thug pulls out a knife. Thomas elbows the bearded thug in the face and shoves him into the clean shaved thug. They both fall over. The bearded one gets up and runs towards Thomas. As they're fighting the camera closes in on the clean shaved one. He starts to get up and then disappears into the shadows. Thomas throws the bearded thug into the shadows and he doesn't return.
INT. Gotham Police station
Thomas walks up to the front desk. He approaches the female secretary at the desk.
THOMAS
Can you please tell me where Commissioner Gordon's office is?
SECRETARY
Are you the new guy? What's his name uh.......Webb, Thomas J?
THOMAS
Yeah that's me. You might be.
He sticks his hand out and she shakes it.
SECRETARY
Stacy, Stacy Jones.
THOMAS
Nice to meet you. Now back to Gordon.
STACY
Oh yeah. His office is third door down to your left.
Thomas walks down to Gordon's office. He knocks on the door.
GORDON
Hello? Yes come in, come in. Sit down right there. You must be Thomas J. Webb. I got your file from Chicago.
THOMAS
That's correct sir.
Thomas sits down in the chair and puts his track bag in the chair next to him.
GORDON
So why the change from Chicago to Gotham?
THOMAS
I need a change, crime in Gotham has skyrocketed, no offense. Gotham needs me more.
GORDON
I see what you mean, well. Just to let you know this job is no joyride. It will dedication.
THOMAS
Yes sir.
GORDON
Let me show you to your office.
They both get up and walk to an empty office.
THOMAS
Who's office was this before?
GORDON
Detective Harvey Bullock, he was suspended from the force indefinitely. He was taking bribes from different mobs, making sure he'd "forget" to file certain papers. Here's your badge.
Gordon tosses it to him, Thomas slips into his pocket.
GORDON
It's getting dark. Do you have a car or house.
THOMAS
I have an apartment over on 51st street.
GORDON
Oh, over by Wayne's penthouse?
THOMAS
Yes, I've been told this a lot. Mostly why I took the place.
GORDON
Rich dad or do they pay good in Chicago?
THOMAS
Neither, lawsuit. That's a story for another time.
GORDON
How about I give you a ride over to your house.
THOMAS
Sure, that'd be great.

A black screen appears.
VOICE OVER
In a world where we depend on super heroes.
Superman, Superboy, Supergirl, and Krypto are flying through the air.
VOICE OVER
Where without them, Evil will rule.
Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Ace the Bat Hound are all on a rooftop.
VOICE OVER
Where they fight for justice.
Batman punches The Joker in the face. Joker shoots a gun at a man. Superman flies into a burning building and grabs a two people.
VOICE OVER
But what if, two of those heroes, fight each other?
All of Batman's and Superman's crew are fighting. The Joker and Lex Luthor are laughing.
VOICE OVER

Gordon and Webb are sitting in a car. Gordon is driving
THOMAS
So I heard about this guy named Batman.
GORDON
Gotham's Guardian.
There is an awkward pause.
THOMAS
The weirdest thing happened today.
GORDON
What?
THOMAS
Well, I was walking down the street and two thugs tried to mug me. I got both of them off of me and they disappeared into the darkness. The alleyway was a dead end though.
GORDON
That was him.
THOMAS
Who?
GORDON
Batman.
The two don't talk for a while. Thomas looks out his window. There is a black figure sitting on the rooftop across the street. The car stops. Thomas starts to get out, with his track bag.
GORDON
Is that all you have?
THOMAS
Yeah, all my furniture is inside already. I loaded in there the other day.
GORDON
Ok well if you need anything just call me,I want you to read this over by tomorrow.
Gordon hands him a packet of papers.
GORDON
Inside are some case files you need to catch up on. Call me if you need anything. My number is on the inside cover.
THOMAS
Thanks.
Thomas walks into his building. FADE OUT

We see The Punisher on top of a roof holding a sniper rifle

A shot of Spider-Man flying through the sky until Captain America leaps onto him and hits his shoulder.

Now we view ASH! He is holding his chain-saw arm high in the air.
ASH
Do not mess with the Ash-Man!
Now, Ant-Man is in the streets fighting a zombie Wolverine.
ANT-MAN
Damn you Wolverine!
WOLVERINE
You got all that flesh and you won't share it.
We see Wolverine's 3 blades extract from his arms and he runs up to strike Ant Man. The screen goes black and the words appear

FIVE HOURS EARLIER
FADE IN A Dark Room. There is only a table, some chairs, and a hanging lamp. A man with a hat is sitting in it his face is shadowed. A man is sitting across from him.
SHADOWED MAN
What is it Nicholas?
NICK
I told you, call me Nick, or you get one to the head.
He pulls out a gun.
SHADOWED MAN
Now there's no need for that.
The man puts it away.
SHADOWED MAN
Now what is it that you need?
NICK
Word on the street is that there's a new cop in town. The rumor is that this guy used to be in the Army. He was professionally trained.
SHADOWED MAN
What do you want me to do?
NICK
Your thing.
SHADOWED MAN
Okay....$10,000 dollars.
NICK
You have got to be kidding me.
SHADOWED MAN
I'm not much of a kidder.
NICK
Fine, but that covers it all right?
SHADOWED MAN
I suppose. I have things already planned out for this situation. Now be gone.
INT. Thomas' house
Thomas walks into his house and finds a package on his counter.
THOMAS
What the hell?
He picks it up and opens it. It has a different font, color, and size of each letter in each word. It reads:
Long and slinky like a trout, never sings till it's guts come out. What is it?
THOMAS
What is this?
MYSTERIOUS VOICE
The answer is a gun.
A gunshot rings out. Thomas pulls out his and hides behind his counter.
