My idea for a group project. I’m pretty sure I’ve told most of you guys about it in the chat box by now, but I might as well make an official post.
The basic idea is a group of writers working together on a TV Show. Each episode, there will be a discussion between all the writers and an episode outline will be put together. Then two to three writers will work together to write the actual episode itself. Then the person in charge, Showrunner if you will, will make final adjustments and the episode will be posted.
I hope this idea will help improve site activity and I think it’ll be fairly fun. The work load wouldn’t be heavy exactly, seeing as writers will only have to write 5 - 10 pages for an episode and hopefully there will be a few people interested so we can get a good circulation of writers so you won’t have to write to often (About every two to three episodes or so). Also writing in different combinations and such will be very interesting.
I have a few worries about the idea, to start with someone is bound to get pissed off if the so called person in charge shoots down an idea or changes a line of dialogue the writer was proud of etc. Etc. And then there’s people not writing when they’re supposed to, or not getting things done on time which are unavoidable. But if there’s enough interest and we go ahead with the idea we’ll tackle the problems when we come to them.
Now onto the show itself. I thought my “guy wakes up every day with a different life” idea would work well here. The change in writing styles and combinations will reflect the change in the character’s life. Also it allows us some flexibility in the fact it can feature more stand alone episodes and won’t necessarily have to focus on a season long arc.
I hope this project will be very successful and we can craft a long running multi season show.
So, I’ve said all that I can. If you’re interested, you’re interested and I assume you’ll say something in this thread. If you’re not, then I guess I’ll write the thing myself somewhere down the line.
Showrunner: Daz
Writers: Natalie, Casablanca, Indy, HB, Blagers, Batman, Jester & Hanelle
