The 1st Annual Entertainment Awards will be held exclusively on Movie Reels 1 year anniversary, Friday, November 21st, 2008. The schedule for the event has been planned out and we will now provide you with full dates & deadlines.
Nominees [Nominating Yourself]
Thanks to Jester & with some additions from SCF Films & Captain Blaggers -- Movie Reels has devised a new system of nominations. 'Movie Directors' will have the ability to submit 'one' piece of their own work, for each category being presented at the awards, for consideration of being nominated as one of the final nominees.
For example, if I felt that a sequence in 'Captain Scarlet 2' was deserving of the 'Best Action Scene' award, I would submit that scene, along with the actual text of the scene. If I felt Captain Scarlet was deserving of 'Best Male Character', I'd submit that character, with excerpts from the film showing off his best moments.
Deadline
'Movie Directors' can submit their own nominees for consideration beginning on September 1st - September 30th. A link will be provided on the 'official home page' of Movie Reels starting on 9/01. Please use that link only when you are ready to submit your nominations.
Panel Nominations
Following the period after 'nominating yourself', Movie Reels has already put together a 'panel staff'. This panel of judges which includes: Captain Blaggers, SCF Films, Movie Lord Productions & Legend will deliberate together but make choices solely based on their own decisions. The panel's job is to seek out '5 nominees' for each category from the list of nominee considerations received. Once this process is completed -- the final stage of voting will commence.
Deadline
Final Nominations will officially begin on October 1st and will come to a close on October 15th. From that time period, the panel of judges will make proper choices based upon the considerations received, allowing enough time to check & consider each possible nominee for each category. Results of this process will be revealed on October 16th.
Voting
Voting for the Entertainment Awards will officially commence the following day once the 'final nominations' are revealed courtesy of the panel staff. All members are eligible to vote. A final list of nominees will be provided for everyone's consideration. A voting link will be issued on the 'official home page' on the start date of voting.
Deadline
Members can cast their final choices for each category beginning on October 16th. Voting will close on October 31st @ 11:59 PM EST.
Presentations/Filming/Recording
For those who are presenting an award this year -- you must record your dialog while voting is still going on. Time is of the essence in order for the show to go on as scheduled. Once the 'final nominees' have been named -- you can begin recording your presentations. For the category you are presenting -- you will see the list of 'final nominees'. Simply record your beginning presentation & follow it up with 'And the Winner is..." then insert 'each final nominee' into that place giving a different winning outcome. This is done to preserve not only time but with this process 'no one' will know the 'true winner' until show time.

Members can begin filming once the 'final nominees' have been revealed on October 16th. The deadline to turn in presentations is on November 7th although 'the earlier, the better'. Please wrap up filming before this date as no extensions can be made. No exceptions.
Commercials/Ad's/Parodies/Short Films/Musical Performances
Commercials which include: teasers, trailers, parodies & other ads as well as short films & musical performances are needed for this year's event. These all play an important role in Movie Reels Award Shows. If anyone is interested in putting together anything for the Entertainment Awards -- please send me a 'private message' so I can add it to the line-up. You are unlimited in what you can do. 'The More, The Better!'
