I've got an action comedy, me and a friend are working on our own hero universe of sorts. He's got his, I've got mine, we're gonna collaborate on a few others. But yeah.

So... was the whole point of making this thread to just convince people to join a new site?
Now that I've taken a bit of a better look at that site, it seems like it isn't all that "new" after all. Appears it has been around for a while and, just like MR, has had spells where it was active and periods where it was dead. So what, in your opinion, makes that site any better?
EDIT Oops, sorry Barrett. Didn't mean to edit your post. Undo.

No, the point of this thread was not an attempt to convince people to join RU at all. I didn't expect anyone to comment truth be told.
It's funny how many members rush to comment on a RIP thread yet none of the above (accept from Daz) actually contributed many reviews to the site. At least towards the end. I got scripts on here waiting to be reviewed. I was the last person to post a script actually.
Secondly, in my opinion RU is better because people support each other. Sure they had ups and downs like us, but we've been empty for a long time because people were far too selfish. It's a harsh truth, but it is a truth. RU members review constantly. That's what is needed.
Forget about MR. A handful of members can't carry this site. RU has it's doors open.
On the other hand, you wanna attempt to revive this site, you can all start with reviewing my scripts.

EDIT Oops, sorry Barrett. Didn't mean to edit your post. Undo. this thread was started in april after jester and i had a long chat about mr history and memories and whatnot. it wasn't until yesterday jester asked what i thought about re-directing people who miss mr to RU. so no, that wasn't the intent of the thread in the slightest, and the fact that's where your mind went, is just another example of the cynical nature this site took in it's dying years. RU is a cool site, it has several former MR members and quite frankly, has sustained a level of activity that we had in 2008, for years now. and that's cause the contribution there is far superior, and there is a far greater level of support. if you want to write and post, give it a go, cause MR is dead in the water and honestly there's little chance of it coming back. If you don't, then fuck it.

Whoa. Let's cool our jets, gents. I only asked because it seemed weird to me that Jester would start what seemed like the bi-annual "let's bring back the good ol' days" thread only to then return and declare the site dead in the water. Now to comment on your comments in an orderly fashioned: It's funny how many members rush to comment on a RIP thread Y'know, in a way, this is the most interesting thing about this thread. Jester's right. The most activity this site has seen in the past three years or so all happen when someone does one of the afforementioned bi-annual "let's bring back the good ol' days" threads. Yet, this particular thread hasn't taken off like the others have. If there's any indication that the site is dead - beyond the fact that no new content has been posted since last summer - it's that right there. we've been empty for a long time because people were far too selfish. On the other hand, you wanna attempt to revive this site, you can all start with reviewing my scripts. Not sure if being ironic. RU is a cool site, it has several former MR members and quite frankly, has sustained a level of activity that we had in 2008, for years now. and that's cause the contribution there is far superior, and there is a far greater level of support. That's all I was looking for. A simple, non-condescending pitch for why any of us should be interested in joining another site. As for me, I may join the site simply so I can see everything that they have to offer. As a guest, apparently I can only see a fraction of what's there and most of it is quite old, which is why the site didn't seem too different activity-wise.
