Sonic the Hedgehog
Episode #1: "What do they do?"

Last Episode
The scene is in a flashback format.
VOICE OVER
Previously on Sonic
Sonic gets up and walks over to where Sally lives. He walks
into her house and she shows him a portal of sorts. They go
through it into another dimension. When they get through
there are a bunch of different colored crystals high in the
air. Sonic looks up at them in awe.
SONIC
They're beautiful. What are they?
SALLY
Those are the Chaos Emeralds. They give you the power to be faster and stronger. They're great.
SONIC
You're telling me.
INT. NOW-- NEW DIMENSION - DAY
Sonic looks over to Sally.
SONIC
So, you're just giving those to me? I mean, just like that?
SALLY
Well, yeah Sonic. If you're going to be the one to save our world, I guess I have no choice. They may be vital to your success.
SONIC
Well, alright. Works for me, I guess.
SALLY
Is something wrong? I thought that this was a great plan.
SONIC
Well no, it's good and all, it just seems like you're attached to
them.
SALLY
Well there's nothing special about them. I mean, they don't disappear after you use them or anything.
SONIC
Oh, alright I guess. In that case.
SALLY
You just have to remember that they're at my house. Feel free to come in when you need them. But one thing. The power is only temporary, so you'll only have the power for about five minutes.
SONIC
Well, it's still enough to help, I suppose.
SALLY
Yeah, that's why I gave them to you.
The ring-shaped portal starts to shrink.
SONIC
Well, I guess we ought to start ourselves and get going back, huh?
SALLY
Well, let's go then!
They both jump through the portal, just in time to get back.
Tails is waiting for them.
INT. SALLY'S HOUSE - DAY
TAILS
Gee. That was awful quick.
SALLY
Something I noticed while I was in there that an hour in there is about 5 minutes in there. We were in there for about five minutes, so it was about 5 or 6 seconds until we came back.
SONIC
That's awesome. That could be a huge help to us.
TAILS
Yeah it could.
The scene zooms out the window, to reveal Dr. Robotnik right
in front of the house, listening to the conversation.
ROBOTNIK
So, he thinks he'll be able to use those to get real fast and beat me, does he? I guess that we'll have to see about that then, won't we?
Robotnik laughs, and runs from the window. He runs through a
bush, and Sonic hears it.
SONIC
(running toward the window) What was that?
Sonic sees Robotnik running toward the huge tower.
SONIC
Uh-oh. He's onto us. I think he may have heard.
TAILS
Well, that could mean trouble, huh?
SONIC
Sure does. You know what that means, Tails?
SALLY
Tails? I thought his name was Miles.
SONIC
Yeah, but I call him Tails.
SALLY
Oh. I see. Well, it was nice seeing you again Sonic. Maybe we can see each other again some time soon.
SONIC
(kind of excited) Maybe we can. Maybe Friday night?
SALLY
I'll have to see if I'm available.
There is an explosion outside, and Tails walks over to the
window. He sees something burning, but can't really tell
what it is. The flame goes out, and he sees a half-charred
robot... He looks kind of confused, and Sonic is still
talking with Sally. Tails looks back out the window, and
sees a whole bunch of robots right outside of Robotnik's
tower, and he looks confused again.
TAILS
Um... Sonic?
SONIC
Hang on a second, bud. So anyway, you're available Friday?
TAILS
Um, you might want to see this.
SONIC
Hang on.
Sonic looks back at Sally and she nods her head, implying
that she is.
EXT. SONIC'S FRONT LAWN - DAY
Sonic leaves with Tails and starts going to there place. He
looks over at Robotnik's tower, and sees the robots.
SONIC
Hey look at the robots. Wait a second. Robots? This can't be good.
The robots surround Sonic and Tails. Tails gulps, and Sonic
has a mad look on his face.
TAILS
Uh-oh... We're in trouble.
SONIC
Don't worry, we'll find a way out of this. We always get out of
trouble smoothly. Why should this be any different?
TAILS
Because there are a lot of them?
SONIC
That's not good enough Miles.
One of the robots goes in to hit Sonic and Sally sees this.
She starts running toward them, and the robot turns to her
and starts moving toward her as fast as possible. She keeps
running forward and the robot keeps going too.
SONIC
Sally, no!
Sally and the robot go head on and Sonic covers his face.
When he looks back, Sally is standing there, in the middle
of a pile of robot pieces.
SALLY
What?
SONIC
Alright! That's what I'm talking about!
