INT. STARK TOWER - DAY
The whole group of heroes is now sitting around Stark Tower,
deciding how they’re going to go about this plan. One of the
phones in the room rings, and Tony Stark walks over to it.
He picks up the receiver.
STARK
Hello? Yes, he’s here. We’re
discussing something right now.
Yeah.
Stark takes the receiver away from his head.
STARK
It’s for you, Colonel Fury.
Fury takes the receiver from him.
FURY
Fury here. Yeah? Really? Sounds
like fun. Yeah, we’ll take care of
it.
Fury hangs up.
FURY
Looks like we’ve got ourselves our
first mission.
STARK
Does it now?
FURY
Yes, yes it does. We’ll be
defending a SHIELD Hellicarrier
from intruders, consisting of
Radioactive Man and I think they
said Winter Soldier is also there.
STARK
Oh yes. This sounds like it should
be so much fun.
FURY
I knew you’d like it. So I guess
we’ll be leaving now, from what
I’ve gathered.
The group sit, just looking around, and Sue Storm finally
gets up from next to Reed, where she was sitting silently
the whole time.
S. STORM
So, what are we waiting for
exactly?
REED
I’m really not quite sure to be
honest with you. We gonna go or
not?
FURY
I’m thinking. I’m not too sure of
who all I want to go yet. I want to
go myself, as I’m a huge part of
SHIELD, and I kind of want Stark to
go over there, because a lot of
them love him.
STARK
How about you decide, and I’ll get
ready to go?
FURY
Yeah, go get yourself all set up to
get out there.
EXT. TOP OF A HELLICARRIER - THAT NIGHT
Iron Man and Fury are seen on a helipad where their
helicopter landed, and Wolverine and Captain America are
seen next to them.
FURY
You guys ready for this? Should
make for interesting fun.
WOLVERINE
Yeah it should. Girls, get
yourselves ready.
Fury shakes his head.
FURY
Alright. I’m gonna go check on some
of the guys who are stationed here,
making sure that everything is how
it was the last time I was here.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Alright. We will take it from here
then.
FURY
Good. I’m gonna need you all to be
very careful. Believe me, this is a
hard place to get around.
The heroes don’t go very far when they are surrounded by
Death Bots.
WOLVERINE
Hey, uh... Am I the only one who
has this slight feeling that us
getting off of the hellicarrier
safely won’t be a simple walk in
the park?
CAPTAIN AMERICA
No, you aren’t alone my friend.
Iron Man flies up into the air, causing two death bots to
run into each other. He shoots one of them with a beam out
of his hand, and Captain America throws his shield, causing
three more to explode. Iron Man swoops down on the last one,
knocking its head off.
WOLVERINE
Wow. That was pretty cheap metal.
A random SHIELD agent is seen.
AGENT
Yeah, you’d think that Doom would
be able to afford some good bots to
put together.
Wolverine just gives the agent a look, almost as if he
wonders why the agent even bothered to open his mouth, and
the agent is seen running off-screen.
IRON MAN
Alright. Move on!
The three heroes continue walking, and they get out onto a
metal walkway, almost like a catwalk. Captain America looks
down, and he sees how high up they are.
WOLVERINE
Good thing I’m not afraid of
heights.
They start walking across the metal walkway, and Wolverine
dives out of the way of a missile. It was shot by a SHIELD
agent, but it was aimed at a Death bot. The heroes look at
the big fight going on, and they look at each other. They
join in on the big fight.
INT. HELICARRIER CONTROL CENTER - THAT MOMENT
Fury is now seen inside the control center of the
helicarrier.
FURY
What in the hell is that?
Fury points on the radar screen at what looks to be
something almost a quarter of the size of the helicarrier.
It is about a half of a mile off, and it is slowly moving
toward the center of the radar.
FURY
Jesus. That has got to be a quarter
of the size of this. We have to get
rid of it. It could probably take
out the whole ship.
They continue to look at it, and Fury sees Winter Soldier.
He shoots at him, and Winter Soldier dives out of the way of
Fury’s shot. They look on at each other. Winter Soldier runs
off after Fury shoots at him again and misses.
FURY
Damn.
EXT. ROOF OF THE HELICARRIER - THAT TIME
The big fight has slowed down, and there are broken Death
bots and wounded SHIELD agents all over the ground. The
group of heroes moves on slowly, Wolverine limping slightly.
They go into a huge hole in the wall, and there they see
Radioactive Man and Winter Soldier standing right next to
each other.
WOLVERINE
Jesus! We just can’t catch a break,
can we? 5 seconds is all that I
want without fighting, just for a
short rest!
Winter Soldier jumps over, kicking Wolverine in the temple,
and sending him to the ground. Captain America and Iron Man
both move in on Radioactive Man, but nothing that they do
has an effect. Winter Soldier tries shooting some things at
Iron Man, but Iron Man flies up in the air, and the things
that are thrown hit Radioactive Man in the head, sending him
backward into a wall. He falls forward, and Captain America
throws his shield at Winter Soldier, knocking him onto his
face.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Haha. Not so tough now, are we?
Iron Man drops down and shoots a beam out of his hand,
shining it in Radioactive Man’s face. It doesn’t do any
damage, but Radioactive Man can’t see, and he starts moving
backward toward a ledge. He is about to fall off when Winter
Soldier shoots some ice at Iron Man, knocking him down to
the ground from twenty feet in the air where he was.
Wolverine is slowly getting to his feet, and Winter Soldier
is fighting Captain America. They are throwing punches at
each other, and Wolverine walks over behind Winter Soldier.
He wraps his arms around Winter Soldier’s neck, choking him.
Winter Soldier passes out, and Wolverine rolls him off the
ledge, sending him plummeting out of sight.
WOLVERINE
Got one down.
Wolverine kicks Radioactive Man, who is still down, and
Radioactive Man also falls, shocked by the kick.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
That’s the end of them.
Iron Man is sitting up, rubbing the back of his helmet.
STARK
(Thinking to himself)
Wow, that shit hurt.
Iron Man gets up, and he looks at the other two.
WOLVERINE
Man, you alright? You took a huge
shot a minute ago.
Iron Man nods, signaling that he is fine, and the three of
them move on, right through an automatic door.
INT. EMPTY ROOM - THAT TIME
Fury is now seen in a pretty empty room, the only thing in
the room is the control panel to an elevator. He is talking
to another SHIELD agent about how to get rid of whatever is
coming toward them.
FURY
All I’m saying is that I’m not
feeling so secure with something
that size coming at us that quick.
It could hit us pretty hard, and I
FURY
think it could be very dangerous to
the health of everyone on this
ship.
AGENT
Well, I don’t know. I mean--
The whole ship shakes and a beam that is supporting a rafter
falls, falling on top of the agent. The three heroes walk in
at that exact moment.
FURY
Good. You guys are here. I could
use your help right about now. Can
one of you please get this damn
pole off this guy?
Captain America walks over and lifts the beam up, throwing
it into a wall, leaving a dent in the wall as the beam falls
down to the floor. Wolverine kicks the agent, and the agent
doesn’t move.
WOLVERINE
Yeah, I’d say he’s dead.
Fury leans down and puts his hand on the guy’s throat,
checking for a pulse.
FURY
Nope... Knocked out though. Nothing
too severe... At least, I don’t
think it’s too severe.
Fury gets back up to his feet.
FURY
So, I saw Winter Soldier here. He
got away.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
We have Winter Soldier taken care
of. We’re very sure of it. We threw
him off of a ledge. He plummeted, a
long way.
FURY
Good. What about Radioactive Man?
CAPTAIN AMERICA
The same.
FURY
Good. That leaves Bullseye. And
there is something else coming
toward the ship. We don’t know what
it is, but it’s huge.
IRON MAN
We’ll take care of whatever it is.
That’s what we’re here for.
FURY
I knew I could count on you, Stark.
Fury gives a salute to the heroes, and they go off their
separate ways. The heroes go down an elevator shaft, and
they’re in the middle of a room. They can’t see anything,
but they know that it can’t be good, wherever they are.
WOLVERINE
Do either of you girls know where
we are?
CAPTAIN AMERICA
I do not have the slightest of a
guess at where we are. Other than
the obvious fact of a SHIELD
Helicarrier.
WOLVERINE
Well, duh.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Yeah, other than that... Not a
clue.
The lights that are already extremely dim black out, and
they can hear the electric devices on the helicarrier shut
off.
WOLVERINE
And there’s the power shortage.
There is a huge bump. The three heroes fall over.
WOLVERINE
What the...
A huge hole gets busted in the wall, leading to the outside.
Right outside the whole is Bullseye.
WOLVERINE
Oh God.
Bullseye walks through the huge hole into the room, and the
three heroes quickly get to their feet. "White Knuckles" by
Alter Bridge plays, and the three get ready to fight.
BULLSEYE
You’re never going to last. Not
even teamed up, fighting me at the
same time.
WOLVERINE
I guess we’ll have to wait and find
that one out, right?
Wolverine looks Bullseye in the face and his claws come out.
He tries slashing at Bullseye’s face, but Bullseye ducks out
of the way. The fight continues to go on.
INT. CONTROL CENTER - SAME TIME
Fury is in the control center again, the unconscious SHIELD
agent laying on a couch in the room.
FURY
Do you know what that... thing...
is yet, and how far away is it?
AGENT
Well, it’s about a mile away. It
should be here in a matter of
minutes. And we do have photographs
of it. It seems to be some sort of
dragon.
FURY
Dragon? Get the pictures on the
screen. Now!
They hurry and the pictures show up. Fury’s jaw drops, and
the scene is quiet.
AGENT
Sir? Is something wrong?
FURY
Fin Fang Foom.
AGENT
Pardon?
FURY
Nothing. It’s something that Stark
needs to know about immediately.
FURY
Excuse me gentlemen, I will be
right back. Watch him for me.
Fury points to the now barely conscious SHIELD agent on the
couch.
AGENT
Yes sir.
Fury leaves the room.
INT. FIGHT - SAME TIME
Wolverine and Bullseye are throwing punches, and Captain
America is down on one knee, holding his nose, which has
blood dripping from it. Iron Man was sent through a wall,
and stands up.
STARK
(To Himself)
Damn. I’m just taking a beat down
today.
Iron Man jumps up in the air over a shot that Bullseye took
after him, and Iron Man is now hovering. He shoots a ball of
fire, hitting Bullseye in the back of the head with it.
Wolverine slashes, cutting off Bullseye’s nose, and then he
kicks him in the groin. Captain America throws his shield,
smacking Bullseye in the face with it. Wolverine finishes
the job when the camera is facing Captain America, looking
slightly disturbed by what he is seeing. Fury comes through
one of the holes in the wall.
FURY
Damn. This damage is going to be
very expensive to fix.
Fury is looking at all the holes, and ripped up cords, and
downed beams in the room.
FURY
Tornado run through here?
WOLVERINE
Well, kinda.
FURY
Where’s Stark?
Wolverine points to Iron Man, who is sitting down, resting
from that fight.
FURY
Hey, Stark. We got trouble.
Iron Man sits, looking at Fury
FURY
Fin Fang Foom is on his way here.
You guys might want to think about
sort of, uh... Getting up to the
top of this again so you can fight
him. He could do some serious
damage, and in a worst case
scenario, he could wreck the whole
damn helicarrier.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
We’ve got this under control.
FURY
Good. I’d hate to see this go down
because we screwed up something
huge.
There is another huge bump and they all about fall over.
FURY
He’s landed. Go you guys. Go!
The three heroes go running off.
INT. STARK TOWER - THAT SAME TIME
The Fantastic Four and Johnny Blaze are all looking around
Stark Tower.
J. STORM
Man, this guy has so much awesome
stuff.
REED
Don’t touch anything.
J. STORM
Why not?
REED
Because you don’t know how much any
of it is worth.
J. STORM
What’s your point?
REED
You break it and you’re going to
have to pay for it. I can guarantee
you that.
J. STORM
Is he that stuck up? The guy’s
like, a quadrillionaire.
S. STORM
Is that even a word?
REED
No.
J. STORM
How do you know it isn’t a word?
You some kind of human dictionary
or something?
REED
Did I say that?
S. STORM
Can you guys stop fighting? I’m
tired of this, and you have just
started like, 5 seconds ago.
REED
Yeah. We’re done. Don’t worry about
it.
SUE
Good.
Johnny Storm sits down, and they all look at each other.
Redd looks out the window.
REED
I wonder when they’ll be back.
EXT. ROOF OF THE HELICARRIER - 5 MINUTES LATER
The three are on the roof of the helicarrier, and right
there, there is an anti-aircraft turret.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Good thing that that’s there. We’re
gonna need it.
WOLVERINE
I got it.
Wolverine gets himself all set up on the turret, and Fin
Fang Foom is seen flying nearby. Wolverine shoots at him,
missing.
WOLVERINE
Hmm. He’s quick. I’m quicker.
Captain America and Iron Man are standing there watching
this, and Iron Man falls forward. Right behind him is a huge
death bot, which has to be 9 feet tall.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Oh my. That is not a good sight at
all.
Wolverine shoots again, but misses once again, this time
getting closer than he did last time. Iron Man and Captain
America are fighting the death bot, but they aren’t getting
very far.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
This guy is tough to beat.
The death bot swings his arm and sends Iron Man falling.
Iron Man falls off the end and is seen plummeting. The
camera stays, and Iron Man can be seen falling until he is
no longer seen.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
No!
Captain America starts punching the death bot, but no damage
is done. The death bot punches Captain America in the face,
and Captain America slides across the ground. Wolverine
shoots Fin Fang Foom in the wing, and Fin Fang Foom drops a
few feet.
WOLVERINE
Now I got you.
The death bot is about to stomp on Captain America when
electricity can be seen running through it. It falls
forward, and behind it, Iron Man is hovering, his arm
extended forward.
CAPTAIN AMERICA
I thought you had fallen.
Iron Man drops down, and Wolverine shoots Fin Fang Foom
again. This time he hits him in the head, and Fin Fang Foom
plummets until he can no longer be seen, as Iron Man did
earlier.
WOLVERINE
About time. Freaking piece of...
A helicopter is seen hovering above the helicarrier, and a
rope ladder drops out of it. Fury is seen leaning out of the
side of the helicopter, signaling for the three to climb up
it.
INT. STARK TOWER - NEXT DAY
The heroes are all seen at Stark Tower the next day,
celebrating their first successful mission.
STARK
Also, I have some news for you all.
We’ve gotten a new information
agent. Everybody welcome The
Vision.
VISION
I’m glad to be here with you all,
and I hope to be of some sort of
assistance while I’m here.
LOGAN
Great. We have a computer to talk
to the computers for us.
Stark gives Logan a look telling him to knock it off. A few
seconds later, Fury then walks through the door, not very
happy at all.
STARK
What seems to be the problem, Fury?
FURY
Not much Stark. Just a few problems
with the Masters of Evil.
REED
What are they up to now? Seriously.
Didn’t we just get rid of some of
them?
FURY
Yes. We got rid of three of them
and Fin Fang Foom. We aren’t sure
if he was with them or not, as he
came separately.
STARK
Well, if I was to wager a guess, I
would say he was with them. He’s
not human, but he’s not stupid, and
he knows that Doom is very
powerful. I think that he figured
it would be an easy way to get rid
of me.
J. STORM
Well, he was dead wrong.
LOGAN
I’d say. It didn’t take too mighty
long to take him out. The only
problem was his speed, so firing
was a little off. I had to aim
ahead of him to hit him.
FURY
Yeah. That’s nice. But we have
something else to do.
J. STORM
Please! Tell me that we’re gonna be
able to do something! I’m getting
so sick of sitting around here
doing nothing, while you guys go
out kicking the crap out of other
people.
FURY
Don’t worry, Johnny. You’ll get
your chance to fight. We don’t need
you quite yet.
J. STORM
Jesus! I’m about to just drop the
hell out right now!
FURY
Cool your jets son. We’ve got some
serious work to do. Stark, I need
you to take a few friends to the
SHIELD Omega Base.
STARK
What’s going on there?
FURY
Well, AIM has officially broken in
and are attempting to take over. As
far as we are aware, they have
unleashed an army of mutated Super
Soldiers who the serum didn’t work
correctly on.
STARK
Any more details at all on what’s
going on?
FURY
Yes. MODOK and Mysterio are leading
them. Dum Dum Dugan is there. He
needs help finding Bruce Banner,
who is trying to figure out how to
get rid of the Super Soldiers
there, and we need to keep a
computer safe.
J. STORM
A computer?
FURY
Yes. Stored inside this computer,
and this computer alone, is the
cure for the condition that all
mutants are almost inevitably going
to get.
LOGAN
Yes. It is a very bad problem, and
I haven’t gotten the vaccine yet,
so... Keep that thing safe.
S. STORM
Tell me that we are going to be
able to help somehow.
STARK
Yes. You four and Silver Surfer
will be coming with me.
J. STORM
Thank God. I thought that we would
never be able to do anything.
BLAZE
Am I coming, too?
FURY
Everyone else will be with me. We
are going back to the UNN Alpha,
just to make sure everything is
back to normal. I’ll be needing the
rest of you just in case it isn’t,
and the Masters of Evil are still
there somewhere.
BLAZE
Alright, that works too, I guess.
STARK
So, are you five ready yet, or are
we going to need some time for you
to get set.
REED
We’ll be ready in a few minutes.
STARK
I’ll be waiting at the Quinjet
then.
REED
We’ll see you there then.
Tony Stark goes into a back room and Edwin Jarvis walks up
to him.
EDWIN
Yes, Mr. Stark?
STARK
Edwin, I’m going to need the suit.
EDWIN
Yes sir.
Edwin walks away, and Tony looks onto the big screen in his
lab, where his workers are using technology to build him an
upgrade for his suit.
STARK
(To himself)
It’s great to see my employees hard
at work.
EXT. OUTER LEDGE OF OMEGA BASE - THAT NIGHT
Iron Man is seen on a ledge, waiting outside one of the
doors to get into the Omega Base. He is impatiently pacing,
waiting for the others. Finally, the Fantastic Four are seen
coming in toward him on the helicopter that Fury commonly
uses. Thing jumps out, landing hard, causing the whole base
to shake.
THING
Sorry.
The other three come down, followed by Silver Surfer.
MR. FANTASTIC
I couldn’t remember if you wanted
me to bring him or not, so we
brought him.
Iron Man nods, and sees that everyone is there. He puts the
hand on his armor on a pad and it starts reading a scan. It
takes a while.
THING
Here, allow me.
Thing goes next to the door and punches a hole in the wall.
The second the hole is there, the door opens.
THING
Oops.
They all walk through the door, and Iron Man looks around.
He takes a few steps forward, holding his hand back,
signaling for the others to stay. He moves forward, and
dives to avoid detection. He looks around and waves for the
others to come.
HUMAN TORCH
La di da...
INVISIBLE WOMAN
Shut up. You’re going to get us
detected, and then it’s gonna be
all downhill from there.
HUMAN TORCH
Big deal. I like a challenge.
She sighs and they move forward. Iron Man looks through a
window, seeing some Super Soldiers down below. He breaks the
window and swoops down, hitting one in the back of the head
and knocking it out. He is then punched in the stomach by another one. There are four remaining, and he is getting
beat by all of them. Thing breaks through the wall around
the broken window.
THING
Get off of him!
Thing dives down, hitting another one into a wall, knocking
that one out as well.
HUMAN TORCH
Wow. That was a nice shot.
The two stand there, watching Iron Man, Thing, and now
Silver Surfer fighting the Super Soldiers. They are seen by
some of the Super Soldiers.
HUMAN TORCH
Uh-oh.
INVISIBLE WOMAN
Have fun.
Invisible Woman turns invisible, and now they are looking up
at just Human Torch. He dives down, now on fire, and singes
the hair of one of the Super Soldiers. He has a cocky grin
and looks back. He flies into a wall, and hits the ground,
landing headfirst.
HUMAN TORCH
(In Pain)
Ow. That can’t be good. I think I
may have broke something.
Iron Man shoots the last Super Soldier with a fireball,
sending it to the ground, laying lifeless. Him and Thing
start looking around.
THING
Where’s Sue?
HUMAN TORCH
Ow! What about me?
MR. FANTASTIC
What about you?
HUMAN TORCH
I’m in pain!
MR. FANTASTIC
And your point is?
INVISIBLE WOMAN
I’m right here.
She becomes visible and everyone looks at her.
INVISIBLE WOMAN
Now how about you two stop arguing,
and we keep going. Sound good to
you? Good, because it works for me.
SILVER SURFER
I knew I liked that woman for a
reason.
Human Torch stands up, holding his head in slight pain.
HUMAN TORCH
Could someone at least give me an
Advil or something?
REED
Sorry, don’t have any.
HUMAN TORCH
Nothing?
REED
I don’t have anything on me.
Human Torch sighs and they walk out of the room down a long,
narrow hallway.
SILVER SURFER
We still haven’t run into any AIM
troopers yet, either.
HUMAN TORCH
Don’t complain, that’s less work
that we’re going to have to deal
with.
SILVER SURFER
Whatever, I was just saying.
A few AIM Troopers bust through a wall with some huge
weapons that they have.
HUMAN TORCH
Buddy, I think that you may have
spoke a bit too soon when you were
blabbering off.
IRON MAN
Huh?
HUMAN TORCH
Yeah, my metal friend, we have
ourselves a little bit of company.
IRON MAN
Not for long.
Iron Man shoots one long stream of light at them and they
are all sent flying in separate directions, just like
bowling pins in a lane after getting hit by a ball.
REED
Wow. That was amazing, I must
admit, Mr. Stark.
They keep going and are stopped again, this time by a
pounding on the metal door next to Reed.
HUMAN TORCH
What is that?
Crimson Dynamo breaks through the door, and Iron Man sighs.
IRON MAN
Not this guy...
THING
Who is it?
IRON MAN
Crimson Dynamo
DYNAMO
We meet again Iron Man. My armor
has been upgraded. I shall beat you
this time.
HUMAN TORCH
We’ll see about that.
Human Torch flies across the room at Crimson Dynamo, but
Crimson Dynamo sends a bolt of electricity at him, shocking
him, and sending him face first, right into the floor. The
base shakes.
INVISIBLE WOMAN
What was that?
IRON MAN
The base is moving.
INVISIBLE WOMAN
Uh-oh.
Crimson Dynamo then sends electricity at Thing, but nothing
happens, except Thing getting angry.
THING
You just made the biggest and last
mistake of your life.
Thing goes over to Crimson Dynamo and kicks him in the
stomach, causing the metal to dent and Crimson to double
over. Thing then knees him in the face, sending him onto his
back. He lays motionless.
IRON MAN
I don’t think he’s dead, but let’s
get out of here before he wakes up.
The sooner we’re done, the better.
They leave the room.
INT. A DARK ROOM - MINUTES LATER
The group is heard above the ceiling of the room that the
camera is in. They can be heard walking, when there is a
metal sound hitting something, a crack in the floor, and the
whole group falls through, except for Silver Surfer, who
sort of just lowers himself down after everyone else falls.
The room suddenly lights up, and right in front of them is
Mysterio.
THING
Mysterio.
Just then, Spider-Man is seen swinging through and drops
down.
SPIDER-MAN
Hey! Why have you decided to join
Doom? Honestly?
MYSTERIO
Because with my help for him,
anything can happen. I can
eventually take over for myself,
and all of my plans will become
complete!
SPIDER-MAN
Uh, fish bowl-head, you’re not
going to get anywhere.
MYSTERIO
Watch what you call me, boy! I’ll
have you knocked out right now!
SPIDER-MAN
You aren’t man enough to hurt
anyone.
MYSTERIO
No, but my holograms are!
SPIDER-MAN
Huh?
Mysterio then turns himself into three different versions of
Mysterio, one being the real one, and two being identical
holograms. The group splits up, fighting the three, and you
can tell when one is a hologram, because when it is
destroyed, another one is regenerated.
THING
We have to find which one is the
real Mysterio!
INVISIBLE WOMAN
And we do that how?
HUMAN TORCH
Not a clue, but I’ll find out for
us soon enough.
SPIDER-MAN
There is now way to tell, we’re
just gonna have to fight them until
we get rid of the real one!
One of the Mysterios manages to get away and let out a gas,
causing the whole group to go into a coughing fit, everybody
is blinded, except for Mysterio.
MYSTERIO
Find me now!
SPIDER-MAN
My Spidey Senses! They’re kicking
in, but in a situation like this,
they’re useless... UGH!
Spider-Man falls to the ground, suffering from a headache,
and Iron Man is thrown against a wall.
IRON MAN
Ow!
INVISIBLE WOMAN
This is not right. We have got to
get this gas out of here!
The gas is slowly disappearing because of the giant whole in
the ceiling of the room, but Spider-Man and Iron Man are
both unconscious.
THING
Help me get these guys!
They all gather up to pick up Spider-Man, and Iron Man
starts making his way to his feet. They are starting to run
out of the room.
MYSTERIO
What’s the matter? You don’t love
me, do you? Well guess what... You
can’t leave!
Mysterio sends a metal beam to block the door.
MYSTERIO
That’s right! Fight me!
Mysterio gets himself set up to fight again and Thing throws
one of the beams at Mysterio, knocking him through the wall.
When they look out the hole, they see him on the ground, way
below.
THING
I’d say that we finished him.
SPIDER-MAN
Yeah... Definitely. And now I have
a migraine headache. Anybody got
any pain pills?
HUMAN TORCH
Nope. They weren’t smart enough to
think that we’d get headaches. Oh
well.
SPIDER-MAN
Guess I’ll just need to deal with
it then.
MR. FANTASTIC
When did you get here by the way? I
thought that Tony Stark said that
you couldn’t help out....

SPIDER-MAN
Let’s just say that I found time.
It’s a really long story, just..
Don’t ask. I’ll be helping you out
every now and then, too.
THING
Works for me.
HUMAN TORCH
Well, uh... Can we cut the mushy
mushy crap and get going? We need
to find Dugan and the computer.
INVISIBLE WOMAN
Oh yeah! The computer!
SPIDER-MAN
What computer?
THING
The computer that holds a vaccine
for mutants like Logan. We’re
making sure that it is safe, that
way the mutants do not die out.
Spider-Man nods.
SPIDER-MAN
I see.
They all run out of the room as quick as possible.
INT. COMPUTER ROOM - MINUTES LATER
The group is now seen in a large room, a computer nearby.
There is nothing seen at all anywhere near the computer, and
the heroes just look at it, confused.
THING
Odd. There seems to be nothing
there to hurt the thing, so I don’t
see why we need to protect it.
A huge piece of a wall is thrown at them, and everyone is
knocked down by it. Standing on the other side of the hole
is a group of Super Soldiers.
SPIDER-MAN
Alright, uh... I think I can see
where the protection may have been
needed.
They all struggle to get to their feet, but afterward, there
really isn’t too much of a problem. A super soldier throws a
another hunk of a wall at the computer, but Iron Man gets in
front of it, and it shatters after hitting him. He jumps
into the air, kicking a nearby super soldier in the head. He
is then surrounded by them, and the others are focusing on
some different enemies.
IRON MAN
I could use some help over here.
Nobody responds. Iron Man starts throwing some random kicks,
punches, and fireballs, doing what he can to hold of the
super soldiers. Finally, Spider-Man gets one caught in a
web, and Iron Man catches the web on fire. The super soldier
is burned alive, and the other soldiers get out of the way.
Human Torch then starts attacking them from behind, and
eventually, most of the room is ablaze.
THING
Uh-oh. What are we going to do
about the computer?
REED
All that we can do. Hope like hell
that it doesn’t get damaged.
SPIDER-MAN
Works for me. Now let’s get
ourselves out of here before we end
up like those guys!
REED
Don’t worry. We won’t burn up.
SPIDER-MAN
Well, I think I’d rather not risk
it, so I’m leaving anyway.
REED
Alright, have it your way. I don’t
even know who you are.
SPIDER-MAN
Well, I’ll at least let you in on
that much. If you really must know,
I’m Spider-Man.
Reed gives Spider-Man a look, basically telling Spider-Man
that he’s never heard the name before. Fury walks in.
FURY
Figured that you guys might need a
hand.
Spider-Man looks over at Fury.
SPIDER-MAN
Aren’t you Nick Fury?
FURY
Yes. Yes I am. And you’re
Spider-Man. Welcome to the
Avengers, son.
SPIDER-MAN
The Avengers?
FURY
Yes. You’re one of us now, and
you’re helping us in wiping out the
Masters of Evil before they take
over the universe.
Spider-Man has one thing running through his mind. "What
have I gotten myself into?", is the only thing that he can
think. There is a loud, sudden pounding, and the group looks
around.
FURY
What in the world...
Another huge hole is broken into the wall, and water is
sprayed, taking out the flames of the super soldiers. When
the smoke clears, there are several AIM troopers seen. They
charge into the room, and are taken out completely in a
matter of seconds.
FURY
Wow. That was pretty easy. I guess
we really aren’t too bad of a group
to have together.
HUMAN TORCH
Yeah, whatever. Can we just get out
of here? I’m kind of hungry, and I
could go for a sandwich or a taco
right now.
They all look at him, shaking their heads in disbelief of
the small issues that he worries himself about.
FURY
We’ll be out in a minute.
They stand there for a second and a huge piece of the wall
is broken down, MODOK right in the hole.
MODOK
Game over for you guys.
FURY
Huh?
MODOK
I’m going to be the one to finish
you off!
Fury takes a step forward, but there is a barrier that stops
him.
FURY
There’s some kind of barrier right
there!
MODOK
That’s right. There is a barrier
separating us. You have to answer 5
questions about yourselves
correctly before I will let you
pass.
FURY
About ourselves?
MODOK
Yes. See how much you really know,
or we’ll just see if I know more
about you guys than you do!
FURY
Sounds easy enough.
MODOK
Good. Here comes the first
question.
MODOK looks at them, and they all look back, awaiting the
first question that MODOK will be asking the group.
MODOK
What is the periodic atomic symbol
for gold?
MR. FANTASTIC
That’s easy. Au.
MODOK
OK. What percentage of the Earth’s
atmosphere is oxygen?
MR. FANTASTIC
Tw--
MODOK
Anyone else care to try?
FURY
Twenty-one percent.
MODOK
Good, good... What is not a true
geological period on Earth?
S. STORM
Neoprene.
MODOK
You had to have cheated! There is
no way that you could have gotten
those answers on your own! Prepare
to die!
FURY
Oh God.
A swarm of AIM troopers come in, and Thing lifts the piece
of the wall that was broken down earlier. He throws it at a
large group of the troopers, and the others start backing
off. Iron Man shoots a bolt of light out of his hand, and it
ricochets off of something on the ceiling, coming off and
hitting the remaining soldiers.
FURY
Wow. That was nice.
MODOK
Alright. I have to kill you all by
myself then!
MODOK starts coming forward, and Spider-Man jumps on his
back. Spider-Man starts beating him in the back, but it
doesn’t affect him. Finally, a hole is broken in the roof,
and Dugan can be seen in a Quinjet.
DUGAN
Get in!
FURY
How did you get that? Weren’t you
on the base?
DUGAN
Yeah, I found it here, and I
decided I’d use it to save you!
Wolverine is in the jet, and he lets down the rope. The
heroes all climb up the rope into the Quiinjet, and Dugan
climbs down.
DUGAN
I’d love to come with you, but I
have no choice.
Dugan looks down.
DUGAN
And MODOK is gone, so I figure I
could hurry and get back to my
place. I’d say I’m safe.
FURY
Alright, Dugan.
Dugan drops down into the base, and the base begins to move
off.
SPIDER-MAN
Wow! A base on wheels?! SHIELD is
brilliant!
FURY
Yeah, whatever.
EXT. ATLANTIS - DAY
FURY
The next day, we headed off to
Atlantis. Our goal: Get rid of
Attuma. Needless to say, it was no
easy task. I honestly think it was
one of the hardest things that
we’ve ever done.
Cut to Atlantis. Wolverine is seen fighting Kraken.
FURY
Many of us were injured.
Kraken throws Wolverine at Fantastic Four, knocking them all
out.
FURY
Bottom line: We finished the job,
leading us to Mandarin’s Palace.
INT. MANDARIN’S PALACE - NIGHT
Iron Man is seen standing in Mandarin’s Palace, right behind
him is Wolverine.
IRON MAN
You know what to do, right?
WOLVERINE
Yeah. I’m good.
IRON MAN
Alright. Fury said to just call if
I needed help, so if you think we
could use it, just tell me when.
WOLVERINE
No problem.
FURY
(On Iron Man’s Call)
You get there alright?
IRON MAN
Yes. We’re alright. I’ll call you
back for backup.
FURY
You got it.
Iron Man hangs up his call button and looks back at
Wolverine.
WOLVERINE
So where are we?
IRON MAN
We are in the Mandarin’s Palace,
which is a huge building, as you’ve
seen, in the Valley of Spirits.
WOLVERINE
I see.
The two take a few steps and Dragonman is seen. Iron Man
shoots at him, blowing him up instantly, and nothing is
left.
WOLVERINE
Well. That looked pretty easy. I
think I might have been able to do
that.
They keep walking when they come to a ledge. Wolverine jumps
off, landing a few feet down, unharmed. Iron Man then hops
down right behind him, where a few stone warriors fight
them. As they attack, the warriors are destroyed on impact.
WOLVERINE
This mission seems almost too easy.
IRON MAN
Don’t say that it’s easy. We’ve
just started and I’m sure that Fury
only sent us two.
WOLVERINE
Uh, because it’s a mission that
Johnny Storm could get through?
IRON MAN
Or it’s because we’re two of the
best in the Alliance?
WOLVERINE
I’m not so sure about you...
Iron Man sighs and shakes his head. He turns forward again,
looking down a long, dark hallway.
WOLVERINE
Wow. That’s pretty dim.
Iron Man turns on a flashlight on his suit, lighting up the
hallway ahead of them. A huge door is seen at the end of the
hall.
WOLVERINE
So we just go through that then?
IRON MAN
That would be why it’s there.
WOLVERINE
Don’t get testy.
IRON MAN
Don’t get stupid.
They run down the hall and are stopped by a huge dark
figure. It kicks Wolverine in the head, knocking him into a
wall. Wolverine is bleeding from his shoulder, blood all
over the place.
WOLVERINE
You piece of...
IRON MAN
No, not here.
Iron Man throws a fist at the figure, later revealed to be
Ultimo. Wolverine’s shoulder heals, and he runs over. He
hops on Ultimo’s face, slashing at it.
IRON MAN
A creation of the Mandarin himself.
Created to be the Mandarin’s guard
for situations just like this.
Iron Man shoots something at Ultimo, bursting a hole in its
midsection. Ultimo falls over and disintegrates a few
seconds later.
WOLVERINE
I know that wasn’t the mission, so
we better keep going.
They open the door and they are now in a huge room. At the
other end of the room is the Mandarin, but he is behind a
protective barrier.
IRON MAN
Come out like a real man!
MANDARIN
I think not!
IRON MAN
Fine!
Iron Man shoots some fire at Mandarin, but it ricochets off,
coming right back at him and Wolverine. The two dive out of
the way and stand back up a second later.
WOLVERINE
Smooth one.
IRON MAN
Yeah, don’t mention it.
WOLVERINE
So what are we gonna do?
MANDARIN
Simple. You are going to fight
someone of my choice, and if you
can defeat them, I will fight you.
WOLVERINE
OK? So who do you have set up for
us to take out?
Grey Gargoyle comes out of a small opening in the ceiling of
the room.
IRON MAN
Whatever you do, don’t get hit by
his attacks.
WOLVERINE
Why’s that?
IRON MAN
Well, I don’t want to go back to
the tower explaining why one of our
best fighters is now a statue.
WOLVERINE
Fair enough.
Grey Gargoyle shoots something at both of them, but they
both dive out of the way just in time.
IRON MAN
That’s it.
Iron Man jumps up in the air, avoiding hitting Gargoyle, but
shooting what looks to be electricity at him. It doesn’t
affect him, but Gargoyle is confused as to where Iron Man
went.
WOLVERINE
If I stabbed him...
IRON MAN
Either nothing would happen or you
would be turned into a rock. Not
sure which though.
WOLVERINE
Oh... So in other words, I can do
nothing?
IRON MAN
That’s about right...
WOLVERINE
Why did Fury send me?
IRON MAN
I don’t think he was actually
expecting us to fight Gargoyle.
Gargoyle turns around, shooting at Iron Man again, but Iron
Man deflects it by shooting at it. It turns back to
Gargoyle, who just absorbs it with nothing happening to him.
IRON MAN
Hmmm...
Wolverine looks up, seeing a molten pit right beside the
wall. He then looks up to see a very thin opening, just big
enough to fit him, above it in the roof.
WOLVERINE
Hey Stoner! Over here!
Gargoyle turns, seeing Wolverine hop up. Wolverine slips in,
and the camera cuts to the inside, showing him dig into the
sides of the opening with his claws. Gargoyle goes over
over, shooting up, but missing. Iron Man shoots some more
lightning at Gargoyle, knocking him off guard and into the
pit. Wolverine slides down with his claws and jumps back
onto the floor.
IRON MAN
He’s done.
Iron Man turns. Mandarin is out of his barrier, but he has a
staff.
MANDARIN
Now I guess since he was
incompetent, I must complete the
job of getting rid of you fools!
Mandarin shoots some gas out of his staff, but the two duck.
Iron Man shoots some fire at Mandarin, but Mandarin shoots
some back, negating the attack.
IRON MAN
Gah!
Iron Man shoots more, just for it to be deflected back at
him. Wolverine jumps up in the air, Mandarin shooting at
him, but missing with each shot. Iron Man shoots some fire
at Mandarin, burning his robe. When Mandarin gets it out, he
turns around, and Wolverine starts slashing his face.
Mandarin, all cut up, takes a few steps back and falls into
the molten pit. His bones begin floating up for a few
seconds and the screen cuts.
INT. STARK TOWER - IRON MAN LAB - DAY
Iron Man is in his suit’s case.
IRON MAN
Armor release.
A giant mechanical hand comes down, grabbing the top half of
the suit and pulling it up. The legs split in two, front and
back, and Tony Stark walks out. Nick Fury walks in.
FURY
Sorry to barge in, Tony.
STARK
Any new calls?
FURY
No, nobody needs any help. Almost
like it’s putting us out of work or
something.
STARK
Well, we’ve still got a long way to
go until our job is done, so...
Let’s just hope it lasts until
