Shot of two F-22 Raptor jets flying through the air, the skyline of Coast City in the distance.
Shot of HAL JORDAN (James Franco) inside the cockpit of one of the jets. A voice emits from his headset.
VOICE (O.S.) Let’s stick to the plan today, eh Hal?
HAL (grinning) Come on, Tom, you know me.
Hal flicks a few lit-up switches before looking curiously towards the ground not too far below, where a large green light emits from a large, deserted park. He then flicks a switch and steers the plane towards the ground.
TOM (O.S.) Hal, what the hell are you doing?
HAL Do you see that?
TOM (O.S.) See what?
HAL That green light!
Shot of Tom in his cockpit looking at the same park-there is nothing out of the ordinary. He looks suspiciously over at Hal’s jet below him.
TOM What the hell are you talking about? I don’t see anything.
HAL I’m gonna go check this out, you go on without me-
TOM (O.S.) Landing in the middle of a park, are you kidding me? Stone will have your ass for this, Hal, after what happened yesterday-
HAL Just keep flying, Tom.
Hal’s jet slowly descends and lands in a clearing in the park not far from the light, barely fitting between to large trees. He exits and looks around. The green light is glowing and transparent and is now in the cover of trees. Hal follows it, but as he walks, he doesn’t seem to get any closer as the trees get thicker and thicker, leading into a small forest.
The green light continues to lead Hal until he comes upon a small, sleek, silver hunk of destroyed metal which appears to be a spaceship on the ground in ruins. Hal’s mouths open as he walks over to the ship, noticing a large hole ripped in one of its walls. Sparks fly as small fires consume the ship. Hal slowly enters and sees what looks like a man inside, lying on the floor, only with a slight red tint to his skin. He lies holding his chest and gasping for air.
ALIEN Ah…you came.
HAL Wha-Who are you?
ALIEN I am Abin Sur…you are Jordan, correct?
HAL How the hell do you know my name?
ABIN SUR Not all in this universe have such limited natural abilities as you humans. I am just one of thousands of organisms who are apart of the Green Lantern Corps.
HAL And that is-
ABIN SUR An intergalactic police that protects even earth, whether you know it or not…whoever wears the power ring will become a Green Lantern.
Hal looks at the alien’s hand, which bears a strange-looking green ring.
ABIN SUR Hal Jordan, I called you here because I am dying, because you are capable of overcoming great fear. You must take my ring…you must take my place as the Green Lantern of Earth.
Hal pauses for almost ten seconds before answering.
HAL Show me.
ABIN SUR What?
HAL Show me how that thing works…that ring.
In the blink of an eye, the same green light comes from the ring, creating a small, green rock which flies through the air, hitting Hal square in the forehead. He holds his head in pain, looking at the alien, part in annoyance, part in awe.
ABIN SUR This ring holds the power to create anything you could ever dream of. With enough willpower, this is the greatest weapon in all of the universe.
He begins to wheeze louder, clutching his chest, and Hal walks closer to him.
HAL I’ll accept it…the ring, I’ll take it!
Abin Sur smiles as the ring flies from his finger onto Hal’s. Suddenly, a green and black costume covers his entire body, the Green Lantern symbol on his chest.
ABIN SUR Never, in all my life, would I have expected to see a human accept the ring.
Hal looks down at Abin Sur, who begins to close his eyes.
ABIN SUR Jordan…you must go to Oa. There you will learn…there you will become a Green Lantern.

INT. LIBRARY - NIGHT
A lamp shines brightly over a shelf in what seems to be a large library. Through the window, the night sky darkens the land. Encyclopedias, arranged in A-Z order, sit on this shelf. A hand reaches out from behind camera, and grabs one of the books. The hand opens the book, and flips through the pages, before coming to a stop. His index finger slides down the page, until it stops on one of the entries. The entry reads:
"LYCANTHROPY (Werewolfism). A disease of the mind in which human beings imagine they are wolf-men. According to an old LEGEND which persists in certain localities, the victims actually assume the physical characteristics of the animal. There is a small village, by the name of Llanwelly, in Wales, which still claims to have had a gruesome experiences with this supernatural creature."

EXT. WELSH COUNTRYSIDE- EARLY MORNING
FADE IN
TITLE: WALES, 1888 A horse drawn carriage is driven down a path through the countryside. Two brown horses pull the carriage, and are driven by a man in a black suit, and in a black top hat. Inside the carriage is a man resting his head on the cushioned seat, his eyes closed. The man, LAWRENCE TALBOT, has a naturally tragic expression on his face, but despite that, he is very handsome. The carriage goes over a bump, which causes Larry to wake up. Talbot slowly opens his eyes, blinking as they open. He draws the curtain to the window open, and sees the rising sun. Larry knocks on the hood of the carriage before calling out to the driver.
Larry: How much further?
Driver (O.S.): Not much longer, Master Larry. We will arrive before noon.
Larry: Very well.
FADE OUT
EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - DAY
The small horse drawn carriage rolls into the small hamlet. The town itself is comprised of a few buildings surrounding a square. It features a jail and a courthouse, among the other various shops. Lawrence looks out of the window, and sees a very beautiful girl walking down the street, but she passes out of view as the car moves on.
CUT TO
EXT. TALBOT MANOR - DAY
The carriage trots outside the hamlet, and carries on down the road, to where Talbot Manor is. The Manor, from a distance, is very large, and is reminiscent of a castle. The carriage stops in front of the great doors, and the driver hops off of the bench. Lawrence climbs out of the carriage as the driver gets his baggage from the cargo hold. Lawrence looks up at the Manor.
Larry: (Quietly) Well, I'm home.
Lawrence, dressed in a black vest, and white shirt with an overcoat covering him, walks up to the front steps. The driver follows him with his luggage. Both men reach the steps, where the luggage is set down.
Larry: Thank you very much. You can just leave them here, I can handle them.
Larry takes out a few bills, and hands them to the driver.
Larry: Have a good day.
Driver: Thank you very much sir, God bless.
The driver walks off screen, leaving Lawrence by himself. Larry goes to knock, but suddenly stops. After the brief hesitation, Larry knocks on the door. The lock is heard clicking, and a butler opens the door.
Larry: Ah, Kendall, it's good to see you.
Kendall: Master Larry, it's been so long. Let me get your things.
CUT TO
INT. TALBOT MANOR GREAT HALL - DAY
Lawrence walks into the great Talbot Manor, observing the sheer size of it. Kendall follows him in with the baggage.
Larry: Is my father home?
Kendall: He is upstairs, working on something in the library. He said he would be down in a few moments, and to have you make yourself at home in the living room.
Larry: Thank you Kendall.
Kendall: No thanks needed, Master Larry.
Larry: Please, just call me Larry. There's no need for the formalities.
Kendall: As you say, Master Larry. I'll take these to your room.
Kendall hurries off screen with Lawrence's luggage. Larry walks down the great hall, viewing the portraits of past Talbot’s, his ancestors.
INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - DAY
Lawrence walks into the living room, where a fire crackles in the fireplace. Larry looks above the fireplace, where a portrait of his brother BENJAMIN hangs. Larry slowly walks up to the fireplace to get a better look.
Voice (O.S.): He was a good man, your brother.
Larry swivels around to see his father, SIR JOHN TALBOT, standing at the doorway to the living room. Sir John is in his mid 60's, with short gray hair, and a gray goatee and mustache. He is clad in a plain black suit.
Larry: He was my only connection to this world.
Sir John: There was nothing any of us could do.
Larry: Despite the reason for my return, it is good to be back.
Sir John: Naturally. Llanwelly has stood still in time while the rest of the world has progressed. We are a backwards people, but don't quote me on that.
Larry: The house still looks good.
Sir John: With your brother and your mother gone, this is all I've had. But now that you're back, it will be in good hands. You'll be inheriting the estate, Lawrence.
Larry: To my ears, it's bittersweet, father.
Sir John: And it is a sad commentary on our relationship that it took a hunting accident and your brother's death to reunite us. Let's make it so there is no such reserve again.
Sir John extends his hand to Larry, who accepts it with a smile on his face.
Larry: I'll do all that I can, sir.
Sir John: And that should be no little contribution.
Larry: But father, do tell me. What happened when Benjamin died? I never really understood the situation through the letters you sent me.
Sir John: (Sighing) We were hunting, in the woods, about 12 months back.
CUT TO
FLASHBACK - EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
Sir John (V.O.): Your brother and I found a buck, by himself, in a small glade. Benjamin points at the buck, and then motions to Sir John that he is going to circle around it.
Sir John (V.O.): Benjamin wanted to get a better shot, so he went around to the other side of the glade. I went back to the horses, because I realized I was out of ammo.
Sir John walks briskly back to their horses. One is a great white stallion, the other is a midnight black stallion.
Sir John (V.O.): I took a few shells, and loaded them into my rifle. That's when I heard the shot.
A loud SHOT is heard in the background. Sir John turns around, looking at the glade behind him. He loads his rifle, and jogs over to the glade to find no sign of the deer, or Ben.
Sir John (V.O.): He's usually a good shot. I rushed into the glade, and called out for him. There was no reply.
Sir John looks over at where Ben went to shoot, and sees a bit of red.
Sir John (V.O.): Then I saw it.
Sir John hustles over to the area, only to find Ben's body. A puddle of blood spreads around him, quite obvious that he's been shot. Sir John falls to his knee, trying to comprehend the scene.
FADE IN
INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - DAY
Sir John: He was dead. I've been trying to find any spec of reason and evidence.
Larry: I'm sorry father.
CUT TO
INT. TALBOT MANOR GREAT HALL - DAY A knock is heard at the door. Kendall walks to the doorway, and opens it. A man stands at the steps, CAPTAIN PAUL MONTFORD. Montford is clad in a brown jacket, and brown pants. He seems very plain but very distinct.
Montford: Afternoon, Kendall.
Kendall: Good afternoon Captain Montford.
Montford: Is Sir John in?
Kendall: Why, yes sir, but he is in with his son, Lawrence.
Montford: That's fine, I'd like to speak to them both.
CUT TO
INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - DAY
Larry: Is anyone working on the case?
Montford (O.S.): I am.
Montford walks into the room, and smiles at Sir John and Lawrence.
Sir John: Ah, Paul!
Sir John walks over to Captain Montford, and shakes his hand.
Sir John: Larry, this is Captain Paul Montford. He's the chief detective for the district.
Larry: (Shaking Montford's hand) Glad to meet ya, Captain.
Montford: You can call me Paul.
Sir John: Paul is the lead investigator for your brother's case.
Montford: Don't worry, Larry. Your brother is in good hands.
Larry: That's good to hear. We were as close as we could be, across the sea, that is.
Montford : Before I lose my purpose, there's something I need to tell you.
Sir John: Yes?
Montford: There's a hearing tomorrow afternoon. I'd like to meet with both of you tonight, though, to discuss our strategy.
Larry: Hearing?
Sir John: Paul believes that your brother was murdered. But it seems that the village is too negligent to recognize a murder. They believe it was suicide.
Montford: It's a shame. Benjamin was a good man. I'll see you two tonight at 8.
Sir John: Of course.
Montford: Good day Sir John. Nice meeting you, Larry.
Larry: Goodbye.
Montford waves at the two Talbots before heading off.
Larry: Seems like a nice enough chap.
Sir John: Paul has been very busy with this investigation. You should go to town, Larry. Meet the people. They're your people, after all, you'll be inheriting the estate.
Larry: I was thinking the same thing. Good day father.
Sir John: Good day, Lawrence. Lawrence walks out of the living room, leaving Sir John to himself. Sir John walks over to a chair next to the fire place, and calls over his hunting dog, Samson.
FADE TO BLACK
EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - DAY
Lawrence walks through the town square, passing various townsfolk. He looks into the shops, until he finds one with the name "Ch. Conliffe Antiques" written on the window. On the inside, he sees the girl from before. With a smile on his face, Larry opens the door and walks in.
CUT TO
INT. CONLIFFE’S SHOP - DAY
Larry walks in, drawing the girl's attention to him. Talbot nods his head as a greeting. The girl, GWEN CONLIFFE, is dressed very elegantly, with her brown hair let down on her shoulders.
Gwen: Good day sir. How may I help you?
Larry: Why yes, I was just looking.
Gwen: Anything in particular?
Larry: Actually, I'm new to town. Well, not really new. I haven't been here in years. My name is Lawrence Talbot.
Gwen looks down, with a sad look on her face.
Larry: What's the matter?
Gwen: I.....I knew your brother. I'm sorry for your loss.
Larry: It's sad. But we must move on. Tell me, what exactly do you sell?
Gwen: All kinds of antiques, sir. We have jewelry, clocks, books, canes, anything you can think of.
Larry: A cane sounds interesting.
Gwen: We have a wide selection sir, over here.
Gwen leads Larry over to a rack over by the window, where canes stand in a row. Larry's eyes scan them, until one catches his eye. Larry picks it up gently, examining the unusually large head.
Larry: That's interesting, a horse's head.
Gwen: No, that's a wolf.
Larry: A wolf? And what's this, a 5 pointed star.
Gwen: That's the pentagram. It's the sign of the werewolf.
Larry: Werewolf? What's that?
Gwen: It's a man that turns into a wolf when the full moon is bright.
Larry: You mean it bites and snaps and bays at the moon?
Gwen: And sometimes even worse then that. How does it go again? Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms, and the moon is full and bright.
Larry: Superstitions. I don't believe in them.
Gwen: Really? Well the gypsies are in town tonight. You could get your fortune told.
Larry: I could. But I'm new to the town. Maybe you could show me around.
Gwen: No.
Larry: Aw, come on. It would be fun.
Gwen: (Avoiding the question) Would you like the cane sir?
Larry: Oh, yes. I'll take it.
Gwen: That'll be 5 pounds.
Larry: 5 pounds? 15 dollars for an old stick?
Gwen: The head is made of solid silver, sir. It's really one of a kind.
Larry: I'll take it.
Lawrence takes out money, and hands Gwen some of the bills. Talbot handles the cane, and walks out of the shop.
Larry: (Walking out the door) I'll be here at 8.
FADE OUT
INT. TALBOT MANOR LIBRARY - EVENING
Sir John is at his desk reading, when the door opens. Sir John looks up to find Larry walking in.
Sir John: Ah, Larry. How was the town?
Larry: It's very quiet.
Sir John: Llanwelly is isolated, but it's quaint feel is very relaxing.
Sir John notices Larry's new cane.
Sir John: What's that you've got there?
Larry: Oh, it's a cane I bought from the antique shop. The lady said it was a symbol for the werewolf.
Sir John: So you've met Gwen Conliffe. She's a very nice woman.
Larry: She told me that she knew Benjamin.
Sir John: Yes, they were very close. Montford and the men should be arriving later. You're welcome to stay.
Larry: Actually, I'm going to go to the gypsy camp.
Sir John: Very well.
Larry: But dad, what exactly is a werewolf? Gwen mentioned that it was something about men changing into wolves.
Sir John: It has many different meanings, most likely derived from man's dual personality. There's an old rhyme. Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright.
Larry: Funny, that's what Gwen said.
Larry pulls out his watch, and checks the time.
Larry: I better be off. Good night.
Sir John: Night.
Larry walks out of the room, leaving Sir John back to his work. Outside, the moon is seen rising in the sky. It is unnaturally full.
EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - NIGHT
Gwen leaves her shop, purse in hand. She looks around. Larry walks out from behind her, startling her.
Gwen: (Startled) Oh, it's you.
Larry: Of course, who'd you expect it to be?
Gwen: Why nobody, I told you I couldn't go out.
Larry: Yet here we are. I don't want to go alone, I'm awfully afraid of the dark.
Gwen: (Smiling) Jenny!
A brunette girl, JENNY WILLIAMS, walks out of the shop.
Gwen: This is my friend, Jenny Williams.
Jenny: Hello....
Larry: Just call me Larry.
Jenny: Very well, Larry.
Larry: Well...
Both girls laugh, and take Larry by the arm has they head out.

INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Sir John, Captain Montford, and another man sit in the living room by the roaring fire. The third man, DOCTOR LLOYD, sits with a very intelligent look on his face. His hair is black, and his clothes expensive. A pipe sits in his mouth, smoke steadily rising from the bowl.
Montford: Where's Larry?
Sir John: He went out a while ago.
Montford: I wanted him here. He could be invaluable at the hearing.
Sir John: Oh nonsense. Llanwelly is too stuck up to listen to an outsider, even though Larry was born here. Besides, I don't want him getting caught up in this struggle.
Doctor Lloyd: Sir John, he's your son. His brother was possibly murdered. Whether you like it or not, he already is caught up in this.
Montford: Edward has a point.
Sir John: As much as I love Larry, he was always the quiet one. Benjamin was set to inherit the estate.
Doctor Lloyd: But look where fate lead you.
Sir John: Fate has nothing to do with it. Benjamin was murdered. Anyone who sees differently is ignorant.
Montford: Don't let your sorrow blind you, Sir John. You need to stay calm tomorrow. It wouldn't look good on your behalf to go into an outrage.
Sir John: This whole situation has just taken me like a whirlwind.
Doctor Lloyd: It’s taken us all, Sir John. We can only hope nothing happens to Larry.
Sir John: I have faith in him.
FADE OUT
EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
Lawrence, Gwen, and Jenny walk together through the woods, towards the gypsy camp.
Jenny: Oh look! Wolfbane.
Jenny runs over to a bush, and plucks a bushel of wolfbane.
Jenny: Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright.
Larry: So you know that one too?
Gwen: Of course. Everyone knows about werewolves.
EXT. GYPSY CAMP - NIGHT
The three walk into the gypsy camp, where they see a few carriages set up. An old lady, MALEVA, watches on in the background with a worried and grim look on her face. They walk up to the carriage where one of the male gypsies, BELA, steps out.
Jenny: We've come to have our fortunes told. Can you really tell the future?
Bela: You will not be disappointed. Step inside.
Jenny: Mind if I go first?
Larry: No, no, go right ahead.
Jenny walks into the carriage with Bela, leaving Larry and Gwen to themselves.
Larry: We didn't come to see Jenny's future told, now did we?
Gwen: No.
Larry: Well why don't you take a walk with me?
Gwen looks at the carriage, and then back at Larry before taking his arm, and walking off with him into the woods.
CUT TO
INT. BELA’S CARRIAGE - NIGHT
Jenny sits at a small round table with Bela, who begins to shuffle a deck of cards.
Bela: Cut the cards.
Jenny takes her wolfbane, and sets it on the table, before grabbing the deck. Bela sees the wolfbane, and grabs his head. On his forehead, you can barely see the pentagram. Bela knocks the wolfbane off of the table.
Jenny: Whats the matter?
Bela: (Smiling grimly) Your hands please.
EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
Larry and Gwen walk through the woods, before stopping at a tree. Gwen leans her back against it.
Larry: So how did you know my brother?
Gwen: We grew up together. We used to play. Even as adults, we were still close, until I met my fiancé.
Larry: Fiancé?
Gwen: Why, yes. I guess I should've told you. I shouldn't even be out here.
Larry: It doesn't matter. I haven't done anything wrong, now have I?
Gwen: I guess not.
CUT TO
INT. BELA'S CARRIAGE - NIGHT
Bela takes Jenny's hands in his, palms up.
Bela: Your right hand shows your past, your left hand shows your future.
Bela goes to look at Jenny's hand when he suddenly recoils. The pentagram is very apparent on the palm of her right hand. Bela 's eyes grow wide as he gets out of the chair, and backs away.
Jenny: What is it? What did you see?
Bela: No, go. Go away.
Jenny: Why?
Bela: I cannot help you tonight. Come back tomorrow. Now go!
Jenny: Yes....yes I'm going!
Jenny quickly gets out of her chair, and leaving her wolfbane behind, leaves the carriage. Bela stumbles out of the carriage, and looks up at the full moon. He holds his head in his hands.
FADE OUT
EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
Larry: I don't think my father holds me in the same esteem that he held Benjamin in.
Gwen: He was very fond of Ben.
Larry: Yes, yes he was.
Jenny (O.S.) AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Larry: (Looking in the direction of the scream) What was that?
A loud HOWL is heard shortly after Larry speaks.
Gwen: That sounded like a wild animal.
Larry: Stay here.
Larry heads off in the direction of the noise.
Gwen: Larry, wait! Larry!
Lawrence runs over to the howl, and sees something nothing short of hellish. A massive, pitch black wolf stands over Jenny's dead body, plucking at her torn apart throat. Lawrence runs at the wolf, and throws it off of Jenny. The wolf begins to jump at Larry, going for his throat as well. Larry manages to push it off, but the wolf jumps back up again, and bites into his right shoulder. Larry lets out a grunt of pain before falling the floor with the wolf. The cane falls from his hand, as the wolf continues to go for the throat. Larry manages to punch it in the head a few times, knocking it off. Talbot grabs his cane, and brings the silver head of the cane down onto the animal until it stops moving Lawrence, holding his shoulder, drops the cane, and stumbles off.
Gwen (O.S.): Larry!
Lawrence tries to support himself on a tree, but falls to the ground. Gwen runs on screen, and sees Larry lying down on the foggy, marsh like ground. She instantly rushes over to the fallen Larry, and cradles his head in her arms.
Gwen: Larry, what happened?
Larry: (Painfully) A wolf.....
Gwen: HELP! HELP!
The old gypsy Maleva drives her small, wooden cart to the area where Gwen cradles Larry. She looks down grimly and silently at the wounded man.
Maleva: What happened to him?
Gwen: He was attacked by a wolf! Please, you must help me get him back home.
Maleva: Get him into my cart. We must get him back soon.
Maleva gets off of her cart, and helps Gwen lift the unconscious Larry to his feet. Gwen takes off her overcoat, and uses it to cushion Talbot's head in the back of the cart. Maleva climbs up into the driver's seat, and takes hold of the reigns.
Maleva: Where does he live?
Gwen: Talbot Manor...its...its at the edge of town.
Maleva: Very well.
Maleva begins to drive the cart forward.

INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Sir John lifts a glass of alcohol to his mouth, and takes a small sip.
Montford: It's getting late. I should head back home.
Doctor Lloyd: As should I. I will see you tomorrow gentlemen.
As Lloyd gets out of his chair to leave, a loud KNOCKING is heard at the door.
Sir John: Kendall, get that would you?
Kendall walks over to the great doors, and opens it. As soon as both doors open, a ragged, and semi-conscious Lawrence stumbles into the hall, collapsing onto the floor. Gwen hurries in quickly, a look of worry on her face.
Montford: What happened here?
Gwen: A wolf bit him out in the forest!
Sir John: A wolf!? Nonsense, there haven't been wolves in these forests for years.
Montford: Was there anyone else with you?
Gwen: An old gypsy helped us back, and Jenny! Where's Jenny?
Larry: (Gasping for air) Jenny, somebody get Jenny...
Doctor Lloyd: Gwen, where did this happen?
Gwen: Out in the woods, it couldn't have been too far from the gypsy camp.
Montford: I need to go. Doctor, can you come with me?
Doctor Lloyd: Of course. Sir John, get him into bed immediately.
Sir John: (Helping Larry up with Kendall's aid) Come on Larry. Gwen, did you see what happened?
Gwen: None of it Sir John. We both heard a howl and a scream...and Jenny couldn't be found...
Gwen begins to break into tears, as the realization sinks in.
Sir John: Don't let this trouble you, dear girl. There was nothing you could've done. Kendall, come now, let's get Larry upstairs.
Kendall: Of course sir.
Sir John, Kendall and Gwen manage to get Larry to his room, where they set him down on his bed.
Sir John: Kendall, walk Gwen back home.
Gwen: Oh, no thank you, I can manage.
Sir John: Are you sure?
Gwen: Yes, I'll be quite alright.
Sir John: Very well then. Good night. And remember, none of this was your fault.
Gwen: (Ignoring the last part) Good night.
Gwen walks out of the room, leaving Kendall and Sir John to tend to Larry.
Sir John: Let's see what happened to him.
Kendall begins to unravel the ripped and bloody clothing around Larry's right shoulder. Kendall steps back, with a look of disgust on his face. The wound is a deep bite, blood still flowing out of it.
Sir John: Get a rag, and wet it with warm water, quickly.
Kendall: Right away, sir.
Kendall walks out of the room. Sir John peers at Larry's wound, a grimace appearing on the father's face.
Sir John: What have you gotten yourself into, my boy?

EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
A group of 4 townsfolk walk through the forest, and in the lead stands FRANK ANDREWS. Andrews has black hair, and intent eyes that scour the forest with an intense knowledge. In his right hand, he holds the leash to his faithful bloodhound, who sniffs the air. He lets out a soft bark. A jittery looking man, TWIDDLE, follows him.
Andrews: We shouldn't be far. You branch out to the right. Smith, head out left. Twiddle, follow me.
Twiddle: Right away Mr. Andrews.
As the other two men head out, Andrews and Twiddle head straight, through the foggy night in search of the accident.
Twiddle: Where's Captain Montford sir?
Andrews: I don't know. We should be fine without them.
Andrews holds his torch out, the fire breaking through the fog ahead of them. Suddenly, his bloodhound begins to bark violently. Both men rush forward, to where they see the prone body of Jenny Williams laying on the forest floor.
Andrews: OVER HERE MEN!
Andrews hands the torch and leash to Twiddle, and walks over to the body. The body is facing the floor, making Andrews flip it over. The injury is gruesome. Jenny's throat is torn out, blood dripping down her neck, and drenching the dirt floor. Frank recoils from the scene, and holds his hand of his face, to prevent the odor from entering his body.
Huntsman: Mr. Andrews, we found Doctor Lloyd and Captain Montford.
Both of the huntsmen, along with Lloyd and Montford walk onto the scene. Montford holds up a torch, and carries his pistol in the other hand.
Andrews: You better take a look at this, doctor.
Lloyd walks over to the body of Jenny Williams, and kneels down by her head. Lloyd examines the wound with a look of disgust on his face.
Montford: Cause, doctor?
Doctor Lloyd: Torn jugular, cause of death, internal hemorrhage.
Andrews: Couldn't have been a man. Wild animal, I'd say.
Doctor Lloyd: I'd agree, but we haven't had any vicious beats in these forests for a long time.
Montford: What's this?
Montford walks past Jenny, and sees another corpse laying behind the tree.
Montford: Another body? Andrews, did you see this?
Andrews: No, Captain.
Montford: Lloyd, take a look at this.
Lloyd walks over to Montford, and rolls the body over. It's Bela, the fortune teller. His feet are bare, and his clothes are ripped. On his head, there’s is a gash from where Lawrence clubbed him with the cane.
Doctor Lloyd: He died from heavy blows from a sharp instrument.
Andrews looks around, and spots something dark laying on the ground not far from where Bela lays. Frank walks over, and picks it up. It's Larry's silver cane.
Andrews: Montford!
Montford: Yes?
Andrews: Would this be the cause of death?
Doctor Lloyd: That would do it.
Montford: Let me have a look at it.
Andrews hands the cane to Montford, who inspects it.
Montford: It's got a very strange head. Looks almost like a horse, or a dog.
Twiddle looks around the base of the tree, and sees an imprint in the floor. He crouches down by it, using the torch to properly light it. A wolf paw print.
Andrews: That's not a horse, it's a...
Twiddle: (With a burst of energy) Wolf! Mr. Andrews, over here! A wolf's print!
Andrews walks over to where Twiddle crouches, and inspects the prints.
Andrews: He's right. Looks like we have a rabid animal in the woods, Captain.
Twiddle: What are you going to do with the bodies?
Montford: We'll leave them here tonight, and retrieve them in the morning.
Doctor Lloyd: Paul, Lawrence had a wound on his shoulder when he came in.
Montford: He could've been bitten.
Doctor Lloyd: Let's go, men. We'll come back tomorrow for the bodies.
Montford looks at the cane with a lingering thought as we...

INT. LARRY'S BEDROOM - MORNING
Larry lies in bed, drearily tired as the morning sun pokes through the curtains of his window in the background. Larry turns in his bed, when a loud KNOCKING is heard at his door. Larry stirs uncomfortably, and attempts to get out of bed, but falls back on his pillow. The KNOCKING is heard again, and finally, Larry manages to get out of bed, and ties his robe in the front. The door opens, and in walks Sir John and Doctor Lloyd.
Sir John: Good morning Larry.
Larry: Good morning father.
Sir John: This is Doctor Lloyd. He's the village's doctor.
Doctor Lloyd: Good morning.
Larry: Nice to meet you.
Doctor Lloyd: You frightened us last night, my boy.
Larry: I apologize for that. The attack was so violent, I was nearly unconscious.
Sir John: You were, for a short time. Do you remember anything that happened last night?
Larry: Well, I heard a scream. I ran off in the direction, and saw a wolf killing Jenny. I rushed it, and a killed it with my cane.
Doctor Lloyd: Cane?
Larry: Yea, it was a black stick, with a large silver wolf's head. And a pentagram on the side.
Sir John: Larry, they found your cane at the scene of the accident.
Larry: Well I must've dropped it, I was in such pain. Then, I can't remember much, until I heard Gwen's voice. Where's Gwen? Is she ok!?
Sir John: Gwen's fine, she helped you in last night. She was worried sick.
Doctor Lloyd: Larry, we found no wolf at the scene. We found Ms. William's corpse, and we found the body of one of the gypsies.
Larry: Gypsy? I don't remember there being one. I only saw a wolf. Here, it bit me!
Larry walks over to Lloyd, and pulls apart the top half of his robe, exposing his right shoulder. There is nothing there.

Doctor Lloyd: I see nothing.
Sir John: That's nonsense, I saw it last night. It was gaping, there's no way it could've disappeared over night.
Larry: I swear to you, I killed a wolf, a plain, ordinary wolf!
Sir John: Calm down Larry. Get some rest. It is still early.
Doctor Lloyd: I must get going. We need to recover the bodies. Goodbye Larry. I'll see you for lunch, Sir John?
Sir John: Yes, of course, with Montford. We must discuss the hearing.
Lloyd walks out of the room, leaving father and son alone.
Larry: Father, you must believe me.
Sir John: I saw your wound last night, like I said before, there's no way such a thing could disappear over night. But alas, get some rest.
Larry: Alright.
Sir John turns to leave the room, and is halfway out the door before..
Larry: Dad?
Sir John: What is it?
Larry: Thank you.
Sir John smiles at his son, before closing the door behind him.

EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - DAY
The small village is bristling with life, much of the buzz stemming from the upcoming hearing. Sir John Talbot walks through the streets, a black top hat settled on his head. He wears a long, black coat to keep himself from getting cold. Sir John continues to walk, until he bumps into a person, who turns around, and is revealed to be Frank Andrews. Sir John shoots him a somewhat cold glare, which Andrews responds to with an equally mean look.
Andrews: Ah, if it isn't the great Sir John Talbot.
Sir John: And if it isn't the worm of a man Mr. Frank Andrews. Tell me, how is the game today?
Andrews: What do you mean?
Sir John: Since my son is gone, it may seem that nobody else is hunting your fiancé.
Andrews: Your son deserved whatever happened to him. But lo and behold, the prodigal other son returns. Tell me, did you bring your runt of a son back because you love him, or because the prestige of the Talbot name means nothing without an heir?
Sir John doesn't reply, but keeps his eyes locked coldly on Andrews'.
Andrews: Not every answer needs a verbal response. I'll see you at the hearing, Sir John. I can only hope the outcome of this trial doesn't make you go off the edge, like your eldest son.
Andrews walks off camera, leaving Sir John with a sad look on his face.

INT. LLANWELLY POLICE STATION - DAY
Doctor Lloyd and Captain Montford sit at a round table, with small glasses in front of them. Montford holds a pipe in his hand, and slowly takes a drag, and watches as a small puff of smoke billows from the bowl.
Montford: Can I ask you something, doctor?
Doctor Lloyd: Of course.
Montford: Has it occurred to you that ever since Benjamin Talbot was found dead, the town has been spiraling downwards?
Doctor Lloyd: Benjamin was a very well respected member of the community, Paul. It's not uncommon to have such a loss bring about this feeling of despair.
Montford: It's probably just coincidence, but the Talbot name seems to have a curse on it.
Doctor Lloyd: What makes you say that?
Montford: Sir John lost his eldest son to tragedy, just like his father before him.
Doctor Lloyd: Sir John had a brother?
Montford: Yes, Sir John was the youngest. His brother died at a young age due to some illness. Ever since then, his father was relentlessly strict on him. Now, Sir John loses his eldest son to some tragedy. I just hope both Sir John and Larry are able to reconcile.
Doctor Lloyd: Larry is nice enough. But this dreadful incident in the woods just adds more stigmas to the family name.
Montford leans back, and takes another drag of his pipe. A few moments later, the door to Montford's office opens, and Sir John walks in.
Sir John: Gentlemen.
Doctor Lloyd: Afternoon, Sir John.
Montford: Are you ready to discuss the hearing?
Sir John: Of course. Now, Judge Thompson seems to be unwavering for either side, ours or the village.
Montford: We need solid evidence that your son wasn't in a suicidal mood.
Sir John: Benjamin was always bright. Both of you knew. I say it was murder.
Doctor Lloyd: But who would've done such a thing?
Sir John: Frank Andrews.
Montford: Sir John, as much as I would back you in this case, that claim is a little absurd, don't you think?
Sir John: He was always jealous of Benjamin. And Frank isn't exactly the most trustworthy of men.
Doctor Lloyd: I would advise you to not bring any names up. It wouldn't work in your case.
Sir John: Bloody hell. God damn it!

INT. STABLES - DAY
Larry grabs a pair of riding gloves from a shelf, and walks over to one of the stable doors, which he opens. Inside the holding pen is a chestnut stallion. Lawrence smiles affectionately at his now grown up child hood horse, and strokes its nose. He leads the horse out, and puts a saddle on, before mounting it with ease. Larry urges the horse out of the stables, and begins to ride towards Llanwelly.

INT. LLANWELLY COURTHOUSE - DAY
The courthouse is packed with townspeople. Sir John sits at the front with Montford and Lloyd. At the opposite side of the room sits the town mayor, STRICKLAND. Gwen is seen sitting in the back, with Frank sitting next to her. The crowd continues to murmur audibly, but as JUDGE THOMPSON, an old, but stern looking man, takes his post, and bangs the gavel, it goes deathly silent.
Judge Thompson: This hearing is now open. Mr. Talbot, you are welcome to give your plea.
Sir John: Thank you your honor.
Sir John stands up, and straightens his coat, before looking out at the crowd.
Sir John: My eldest son was found dead months ago. You people have called it suicide. I cry murder. You tell me Llanwelly is too peaceful. Everyone knows each other. I tell you now, this death was not caused by depression. This death was caused by jealousy, and by rage.
Sir John stares a hole into Frank Andrews, who looks him straight in the eye.
Sir John: I come before you today to say that I believe my son was murdered by a man in this very a courtroom. By a man who used to work on my very estate. By a man so cowardly and so paranoid about his relationship, took the life of my son. This man, ladies and gentlemen, is Frank Andrews!
Andrews sits up straight, locking Talbot in the eye. The entire crowd erupts in noise, most of it incomprehensible. Lloyd sighs and looks at Sir John, who has a proud fire in his eyes. Montford holds his head in his hands.
Sir John: THAT MAN MURDERED MY SON!
Judge Thompson: ORDER! I WILL HAVE ORDER!
Thompson slams the gavel down rapidly, making the crowd go silent.
Judge Thompson: Sir John, do you have any idea of what claims you are making by accusing Mr. Andrews of murder?
Sir John: I do, your Honor. This man needs to be put to justice. Llanwelly was once peaceful, but he's disrupted it.
A random man in the crowd stands up, and points at Sir John.
Man: You want to talk about disruption? Two people were found dead last night! Strange that it is the same day your son returned!
Sir John: Leave my son out of this!
Andrews: Your son is in this, whether you like it or not. We found his walking stick by the scene! If you want hard evidence, there it is!
Sir John is about to retaliate when the court doors slam open, and in walks Larry. Lawrence looks around at the entire crowd, which goes deathly silent. The look on Talbot's face is beast-like. Larry walks up to the front of the courtroom, and takes a seat next to Doctor Lloyd.
Larry: Go on.
Judge Thompson: Master Talbot, I would like it next time if you wouldn't disrupt my court. Now, I've had enough of this argument for today. Court adjourned.
Thompson leaves his seat, leaving the entire room in an eerie silence.

INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Sir John sits in a large chair, blankly staring into the fireplace. Larry walks in with a concerned look on his face.
Larry: Father, I'm sorry.
Sir John: You shouldn't be. These townsfolk are just ignorant.
Larry: I'm going out tonight to the gypsy festival. You should come with me.
Sir John: No, no, go ahead.
Larry: Come on, it'll be fun.
Sir John looks up at Larry and smiles softly.
Sir John: Alright. Let's go.
Larry smiles as Sir John gets out of his chair.

EXT. GYPSY FESTIVAL - NIGHT
The festival is teeming with the townsfolk, who are eager to watch the celebrations. Gypsy girls dance to folk music, which gets most of the males' attention. Larry and Sir John walk into the camp, and walk up to Captain Montford.
Larry: Captain Montford.
Montford: Ah Larry, how are you tonight?
Larry: I'm well, but I can't say the same about my father. Perhaps you could take him to get a drink?
Montford: I'd love to. Let's go Sir John.
Sir John: Right.
Sir John and Montford leave Larry alone to the festival. Larry walks around, and watches one of the gypsy dances. We PAN upwards into the night sky, which is dark and starry. Through the fog, we see a rising full moon...
CUT TO
Frank and Gwen walk through the camp, arms locked together.
Gwen: What was that all about today?
Andrews: What? Sir John accusing me of killing his son?
Gwen: Yea.
Andrews: It's nonsense, you know I wouldn't do anything like that. Now c'mon. There's Larry Talbot, I just want to show you that there's no bad blood.
Gwen and Frank begin to walk over to where Larry is. Lawrence spots them, and attempts to lose himself in the crowd, but is too late.
Andrews: Larry! Larry Talbot!
With a disappointed smile on his face, Larry walks over to Andrews and Gwen.
Andrews: I'm Frank Andrews.
Larry: You seem to already know my name.
Both men shake hands. Larry looks at Gwen.
Larry: Good evening, Gwen.
Gwen: You too Larry.
Andrews: Shall we find something to eat?
Gypsy Barker (O.S.): Who here thinks they are man enough to best this beast?
The three walk over to the barker, and see that he is handling a bear. A crowd of people form around him. Nobody dares to step up.
Gypsy Barker: Come one, come all! Who can throw this beast? A hefty reward for anyone who does!
Gwen: How about you Frank? You used to be a game keeper; surely this little animal is no match for you?
Andrews: I would love for that to be true. How about you Talbot? You wrestled that wolf.
Larry looks at Gwen who has a worried look on her face.
Larry: Know what? Why not.
Larry walks forward, much to the crowd's pleasure.
Gypsy Barker: So we have a taker! Tell me sir, do you think you can throw this bear to the ground?
Larry remains silent as he takes off his coat and vest, and hands them to one of the gypsies.
Gypsy Barker: Looks like this man is serious! Please take a step back ladies and gentlemen, give this man some room. Sir, are you ready?
Larry nods.
Gypsy Barker: Best of luck sir!
The gypsy lets go of the bear’s leash, and leaps over the fence, keeping a close eye on the two. The bear growls at Talbot, causing some of the ladies in attendance to shriek.
CLOSE UP: LARRY’S FACE.
His eyes become beast-like, his face tightens.
CUT TO
The bear seems to whimper as Larry moves forward, as if stalking the bear. The bear begins to back up as Larry moves forward, and grapples the bear. Using all of his strength, and the bear's newfound hesitance, Larry manages to drop the bear on its back! The crowd around him cheers, but Larry remains focused.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP: LARRY’S FACE
His face is seemingly in a trance.
Gwen (O.S.): Larry?
CLOSE UP: LARRY
Larry suddenly snaps out of his trance..
CUT TO
The crowd looks on in fearful wonder, now completely silent. Larry looks around, embarrassed, before stopping on Gwen. Gwen slowly shifts her eyes away, which Frank notices.
Andrews: Let's go...
With a lingering look at Larry, Frank begins to pull Gwen away. Larry looks at all the watchers angrily, causing them to back off. He grabs his coat and vest, and storms out of the area.
Andrews walks Gwen out of the area before Gwen pulls away.
Gwen: What are you doing? I'm not a child, you don't need to lead me out.
Andrews: Gwen, I'm sorry, but I just can't stand to see you with that man.
Gwen: What's the matter Frank?
Andrews: I just get jealous when I see you two together. Please, stay away from him, for me.
Gwen: How dare you!
Gwen storms away from Andrews, leaving the man by himself.

EXT. MALEVA’S TENT - NIGHT
Larry puts on his vest, and coat, before being stopped by an old and shaky voice.
Voice (O.S.): You've been a long time coming.
Larry spins around to see the old crone, MALEVA standing by the entrance to her tent.
Larry: Who are you?
Maleva: My name is Maleva. Step inside, would you?
Larry: (Annoyed) Oh, I'm not buying anything!
Maleva: And I am not selling anything. I expected you sooner.
Larry: You...I remember you. In the woods…that night...
Maleva: Step inside.
Maleva ducks into her tent, leaving Larry with a conflicted look on his face. With a sigh, Lawrence walks over to the tent, and steps in.

INT. MALEVA’S TENT - NIGHT
Maleva sits at a chair by a table, with a bushel of wolfbane on the table top. Larry looks around the interior of the tent, especially at the various decorations with the pentagram on them.
Maleva: You killed the wolf.
Larry: Seems like you're the only one who believes me.
Maleva: The wolf was my son, Bela.
Larry: What are you talking about? You just said I killed the wolf! It may have been foggy, but I saw what I saw, and that was a damned wolf!
Maleva: Bela became a wolf when the moon was full.
Larry: Nonsense, save that for a child.
Maleva: He was a werewolf.
Larry: I don't have time for this!
Larry begins to walk out of the tent when he is cut off by Maleva.
Maleva: (Eerily) Whoever is bitten by a werewolf and lives...becomes a werewolf himself.
Suddenly Larry stops, and turns around. He looks at Maleva worriedly.
Maleva: The wolf bit you, didn't it?
Larry: Yea! Yea it did! The wound was gone this morning, but I swear, last night it was gushing blood!
Maleva: Do you dare to show me the wound?
Larry: There's nothing to see, it's cleared up.
Maleva: (Sternly) Do you dare to show me the wound?
Larry unbuttons his shirt, and shows his chest to Maleva.
CLOSE UP: LARRY’S RIGHT SHOULDER
The pentagram is prominent where the bite was.
Maleva looks worried, and backs off of Larry.
Maleva: Take this charm. Wear it over your heart always.
Larry: Alright, alright, I'll take it! How much do you...
Maleva: No charge. But go now......and heaven help you.
Larry opens his mouth to speak, but steps outside of the tent quickly.

Maleva walks up to another gypsy, and whispers something inaudibly into her ear. She jolts up, and goes to another gypsy. This cycle continues, until all of the gypsies seem to be packing up rapidly.
CUT TO
Larry continues walking, and bumps into Gwen.
Gwen: Oh...Larry!
Larry: Gwen, I've got to go, the gypsy gave me this charm, I'm sorry.
Gwen looks at the charm.
Gwen: That's funny, it's a pentagram.
Larry: (Nervously) Where's Frank?
Gwen: We had a quarrel...Larry what's wrong?
Larry: Gwen, last night, I was bit by a wolf. This morning, they couldn't find a scar.
Gwen: That's odd, you were bleeding a lot last night, I could've sworn...
Larry: Gwen, I want you to have this.
Larry places the charm in Gwen's hand, and wraps her fingers around it slowly.
Gwen: Larry, what are you doing?
Larry: I don't know what's going on, it's all been this tornado of confusion, but I want to protect you.
Gwen: Larry...I can't...
Larry: Just take it! Please! Gwen, I'm scared, just please take it!
A gypsy bumps into Larry, almost knocking him down. Talbot grabs his arm, and pulls him close.
Larry: Hey, hey, hey what's all the commotion about?
Gypsy: There's a werewolf in camp!
Larry lets the man go, and slowly turns around to face Gwen.
Larry: Gwen, please, stay safe tonight. Please, for me.
Gwen: What are you talking about?
Larry: Lock the doors, get upstairs, anything. Just don't go outside.
Gwen: Oh nonsense, you actually believe the gypsy?
Larry: I have to.
Gwen: You told me you don't believe in superstitions. Were you lying?
Larry: I...I...
Gwen: (coldly) Your brother would be very ashamed.
Gwen looks frustrated, and somewhat sad as she leaves with the charm in her hand. Larry looks up at the sky and at the rising full moon as we

INT. LARRY'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Larry throws his coat on his bed, and immediately rushes to his mirror, where he begins to unbutton his shirt. Lo and behold, hair begins to sprout on his chest. Larry's eyes sink, and he walks over to a chair, where he sits down and takes his socks and shoes off. Hair grows on his legs.
CLOSE UP: LARRY’S EYES
They begin to twitch back and forth. The slow, rhythmic beating of a heart is heard. The beating continues, faster and faster until....
Larry: (In a burst of great pain) AHHH!
Larry convulses, and falls off of the chair. He spins around violently on the carpet, and starts to tear parts of his shirt as fur begins to grow where his skin was. His hands begin to extend, and sharp claws begin to grow where his finger nails where. Larry lifts his hand up and looks at his claws with a look of terror on his face. Another burst of pain hits him as his face begins to contort.
CLOSE UP: LARRY'S FACE
Larry's face begins to shift, his snout extending just a little bit, and sharp fangs grow in place of his teeth. His skin darkens to a light brown, and thick, dark hair sprouts above his forehead, and around his cheek.

EXT. CAMP SITE - NIGHT
Two men sit at the fire, roasting some sparse food. One of them still has a broken shackle on his right arm. They're escaped criminals.
Criminal #1: Lucky to get out of there, eh?
Criminal #2: Guess so. But I'd rather be in prison then out on these moors at night. They give me the chills.
Criminal #1: You're afraid?
Criminal #2: No. Something has me worried.
Criminal #1: Nonsense, there's nothing but birds and rabbits out on these moors.
As he says those words, a chilling HOWL is heard, not far from the camp.
Criminal #2: Must be a big rabbit.
A shadow looms closer to the fire as the criminals slowly back away.
Criminal #2: A big, scary rab...
The Wolf Man appears in all his visceral glory, snarling at the two criminals. He LEAPS over the fire, landing on Criminal #2. We can't see up close, but blood sprays at from where the Wolf Man bites at his face. Criminal #1 tries to get away, and tries to hide in the tent.
Criminal #1: No...no.no.no.nonononono....
Everything goes silent as the criminal tries to stay still. In the background of the tent, we see the shadow of The Wolf Man moving in...closer...and closer....until RIP!
Criminal #1: AH!!!! AHHHHH!! AHHH!!!!!!
He tries to crawl away, but his leg is grabbed, and he is yanked out side of the tent. Through the ripped tent flapped, we see the werewolf striking down with his claws rapidly at the figures face. The motion stops, and the Wolf Man renews his hunt.

POV: WOLF MAN
We see the girl running through the streets, as we move in. As she passes the fountain, through the shadows, the Wolf Man pounces, and tackles her into the fountain. We hear a SCREAM, and from the opposite side of the fountain, a violent struggle.

They are dirty, and caked with blood.
Larry tries wiping them off on his shirt, but finds it ripped and bloody as well. He gasps, and then turns around. He's in the middle of Llanwelly Woods,
Larry: No.....NO!
He looks at his ripped pants, and bare feet.
Larry: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Quickly he realizes he needs to get home unseen. Larry looks around, and spots a stream. He walks over, and dips his bloody and dirty head in the clear water. Larry takes his bloody shirt off, and throws it in the water. After washing off, Larry begins to head back towards Talbot Manor.

Sir John: Ah, good morning Larry.
Sir John has a somewhat worried look on his face.
Larry: What's the matter?
Sir John: 3 people were found dead last night.
Larry: Dead?
Sir John: Yes, interesting enough, it seems like they were killed by a wolf.
Larry: What's this story about a man turning into a wolf?
Sir John: You mean the werewolf?
Larry That's it.
Sir John: Well you'll find something like it in every society. It's derived from man's dual personality, like I said earlier.
Larry: Well that's all Greek to me.
Sir John: It is Greek, Larry. It's a very complex meaning for something very simple. It's the good and evil in every man's soul. In this case, evil takes the shape of an animal.
Larry: Why did it have to fall upon me? I can figure out most anything that is physical, but these mental manifestations, these things you can't even touch!....
Sir John: What's the matter with you Larry?
Larry: Well nothing sir. But do you believe in these tales?
Sir John: Larry, to some of us, life is very simple. This is good, this is bad. That's black, and this is white. All right or wrong, no shadings of gray.
Larry: That'd be Paul Montford.
Sir John: Exactly. Now others of us find life to be very complex, with many sides. No good or bad, just a shading of gray. Now you ask me if a man can turn into a wolf.
Larry nods his head.
Sir John: If you mean physically taking on the characteristics of a wolf, no, that's impossible. But I do believe that most anything can happen to a man in his own mind. Now, are you sure you killed a wolf that night?
Larry: You're treating me like I'm crazy! The entire town is!
Sir John: Stop this! You're a Talbot. I'll not have my only son running around like a mental patient!
Larry: You don't believe me, none of you do! Only the gypsy woman.
Sir John: Gypsy!? Larry, they will fill your mind with rubbish just for a quick penny. Now listen to me, you are conflicted, but I do not believe you are insane.
Sir John walks over to the coat rack, and grabs his top hat and jacket.
Sir John: Listen to me Larry, belief in the hereafter is a good distraction for all of these phenomenon. It's time for church.

Sir John: Pastor Fisk is a good reverend. He's a nice man.
Larry: He's still preaching here? I remember him from when I was a boy.
Sir John: Apparently the Lord granted him long life.
Both men share a slight chuckle as they head up the steps. Gwen and her father, CHARLES CONLIFFE, also walk up to the entrance. Both families stop.
Charles: Good day, Sir John.
Sir John: Ah, Charles, good day to you sir. And Gwen, you look very pretty this morning.
Gwen: You flatter me Sir John.
Larry looks away, as if trying to avoid Gwen's eyesight.
Gwen: Good morning, Larry.
Larry: Gwen.
Suddenly, Frank Andrews steps into the scene.
Andrews: Morning, Larry.
Larry: And you, Frank.
Sir John looks angry as the brash young man steps up towards them.
Andrews: Good morning, Master Talbot.
Sir John: Save me the trouble of putting you in your place, gamekeeper.
Andrews: Money can't buy love, Sir John. It's very apparent too.
Gwen: Frank, how rude!
Charles: We better get going, or we'll miss the sermon. The Lord has patience, but not for squabbling like this.
Gwen, Frank and Charles walk off scene, towards the church, leaving the Talbots at the entrance.
Sir John: He's a worm of a man, Larry. Don't let first impressions get to you.
Larry: I don't intend on making nice with him. I see the way he looks at me and Gwen.
Sir John: And I see the way you look at her. It's the same situation that led to Benjamin's death. Gwen is a pretty girl Larry, but I fear she has a curse about her.
Larry: Tell me about it.
Sir John: Do you remember your mother, Larry?
Larry: Only slightly.
Sir John: She had raven colored hair, just like yours. And her skin was olive, very tan, beautiful.
Sir John seems to go off in a day dream before snapping out of it.
Sir John: I'm sorry my boy.
Larry: It's no problem father.
Sir John: Come, let's go in.
The two gentlemen head into the cathedral.
CUT TO
INT. LLANWELLY CATHEDRAL - DAY
The entire village is seemingly inside the church. Immediately, Sir John spots Montford, and walks up to him.
Sir John: Paul, good morning.
Montford: Sir John. Larry.
Larry nods in greeting towards Paul. The three men take a seat near the front of the church. The voices soften as PASTOR FISK, an elderly looking man, walks into the front of the church.
Pastor Fisk: Let us pray.
PAN: THE CHURCH CROWD
Pastor Fisk (V.O.): Our heavenly father. We come before You today and ask that You would bless our time with You. We praise You for giving us the opportunity to be a part of Your work. We ask You now, Father, that You would remove any barrier that stands between us and You, tune our senses to what You want to speak to us about today and prepare our hearts and spirits to be changed according to Your Divine Will.
Everyone: Amen.
Pastor Fisk: I come before you today not as a preacher, but as a protector. Llanwelly has become unsafe. Whether it be a warning from Him, or by chance. We've lost the lives of 5 souls in the past two days. They way they were taken was not Holy, and I do not believe it to be the Lord's work.
The crowd is deathly silent.
Pastor Fisk: One being, his Unholiness, alone carries the malice to take those before their time. The power of Satan changed man into beasts.
The crowd now seems upset.
CLOSE UP: LARRY
Larry looks on nervously, and with a look of guilt.
Pastor Fisk: A beast has come among us.
Larry holds his head as sweat begins to drip down his forehead in beads. Sir John notices this, and puts a hand on his back.
Pastor Fisk: May the Lord protect this being. And let us hope that he does not strike again.
Larry stands up, and looks around at the crowd, who now all stare at him. Larry turns into the aisle, and quickly walks out of the church, causing a commotion inside of the cathedral. Sir John looks at his son with a twinge of embarrassment.
CUT TO
EXT. LLANWELLY CATHEDRAL - DAY
Larry wipes his head, and sighs. He looks over his shoulder, and sees the sign for the crypt. Talbot cocks his brow, and walks over to where the dead rest.
CUT TO
INT. CRYPT - DAY
Larry walks through the crypt, looking at the various coffins for the dead of Llanwelly. As he continues walking, he sees an open coffin. Lawrence moves closer, and recoils after seeing something inside of it.
CLOSE UP: THE COFFIN INTERIOR
The coffin contains Bela. Bela's eyes are wide open, seemingly staring right at Lawrence. On his forehead is a pentagram, and his mouth is spread in a wicked smile.
Lawrence moves in to get a better look, but he hears somebody coming. Larry quickly goes to hide behind a pillar. Maleva walks on screen, and towards the coffin. In her hand, she carries a bushel of wolfbane.
Maleva: The way you walked was thorny...
Maleva touches the wolfbane to Bela's mouth, which closes into a slight smile.
Maleva (Cont’d): ....through no fault of your own. But as the rain enters the soil.... Maleva touches the wolfbane to Bela's eyes, which close.
Maleva (Cont’d): ....the river enters the sea, so tears run to a predestined end.
Maleva touches the wolfbane to Bela's pentagram, which fades.
Maleva (Cont’d): Your suffering is over, Bela, my son. Now you will find peace, for eternity.
Bela's face is entirely calm, and at peace. Maleva softly places the wolfbane on top of his chest, to ward away any evil from entering his body. She walks slowly out of the crypt. Larry exits his hiding place, and looks at the now at peace Bela.
Larry: (angrily) You did this to me! YOU DID THIS! You....Yo....
Larry grabs his head, and begins to break down. He sobs woefully. He's desperate. Confused. Helpless.
FADE OUT
INT. DOCTOR LLOYD’S HOUSE - DAY Doctor Lloyd sits at a table, drinking tea and reading the newspaper.
CLOSE UP: THE NEWSPAPER
The newspaper headline reads: RIPPER STRIKES AGAIN!
Lloyd flips the page, when a KNOCKING comes at his door. Lloyd sets down the paper, and opens the door. There stands Larry.
Doctor Lloyd: Larry?
Larry: Doctor, I've gotta talk to you.
Doctor Lloyd: Of course, come in.
Larry walks in, and begins to pace about the room.
Doctor Lloyd: What's the matter?
Larry: Doctor, do you believe in werewolves?
Doctor Lloyd: Werewolves?
Larry: Yes, a man that turns into a wolf when the moon is full.
Doctor Lloyd: Where is this coming from?
Larry: The old gypsy, at the fair, told me that Bela was a werewolf. That's why when I killed him, he was a wolf, but when you found him, he had changed back into a man.
Doctor Lloyd: That could explain some things, but it is a bit irrational, don't you think?
Larry: But Doctor, you have to believe me, I killed a wolf that night! Now Bela is dead, and 3 more bodies were found last night..
Doctor Lloyd: 3 more?
Larry: Yes, didn't you hear? They found two escaped criminals and a girl all dead last night. At first they thought it was the criminals that killed the girl, but the wounds on all 3 victims were the same.
Doctor Lloyd: Where are the bodies?
Larry: I think Montford has them in the station.
Doctor Lloyd: Let's go. I need to see the wounds.
Lloyd and Larry exit the house.
CUT TO
INT. LLANWELLY POLICE STATION - DAY
Lloyd checks the girl's corpse as Montford and Larry watch on.
Montford: What was it Doctor?
Doctor Lloyd: Torn jugular. Just like Jenny Williams. Paul, are you sure you cleared the forest? There could be a pack of these animals out there.
Montford: We searched the entire damn forest, and didn't find a thing. Andrews tells me there are no signs a wolf, let alone a pack, could be living there.
Doctor Lloyd: Well, these two criminals certainly didn't kill her. Could the Ripper have moved to Llanwelly?

Montford: Nonsense. His knives couldn't do that. That's obviously a bite of some wild animal.
Larry looks on with a feeling of guilt.
Montford: Larry, you saw the animal, what did it look like?
Larry: I killed it.
Montford: Then what can explain these bloody wounds? Lloyd, you're saying that it's a torn jugular, but then, there's no sign of a wolf.
Doctor Lloyd: There's no need to get worked up about it Captain. Larry, would you step outside for a little?
Larry looks on with sad eyes, and leaves the room, as Doctor Lloyd smiles at him.
Doctor Lloyd: Paul, Lawrence Talbot is mentally disturbed. I'd wish that you wouldn't force the belief that he did or didn't kill someone on him.
Montford: I'm sorry Doctor. You don't understand the stress I've been put under. The entire town is becoming hysterical.
Montford takes a quick glance at Talbot, and pulls Lloyd to the side.
Montford: (Quietly) The villagers are thinking of rioting against the Talbots. Sir John included.
Doctor Lloyd: That's insane.
Montford: They think Larry brought a curse to the village, and that he has murdered all of the people who were found dead.
Doctor Lloyd: I need to talk to Sir John.
Montford: His behavior has been irrational as of late.
Both men stand in silence for a moment.
Montford: I need to get back to work. If you'd excuse me, Doctor.
Doctor Lloyd: Of course.
Doctor Lloyd nods respectfully at Montford, and exits the office.
Larry: What was that all about Doctor?
Doctor Lloyd: Nothing, my boy. Come, I need to speak to Sir John.
Doctor Lloyd and Larry exit the police office.

INT. CONLIFFE'S SHOP - DAY
Charles Conliffe randomly walks around, dusting off antiques, and aligning them on the shelves. The door to the shop opens, and in walks Frank Andrews.
Charles: Ah, good afternoon Frank.
Andrews: Hello Mr. Conliffe. Is Gwen in?
Charles: Yes, she's in the parlor.
Frank nods his head in thanks at Charles, and heads towards the parlor.
CUT TO
INT. CONLIFFE PARLOR - DAY
Gwen sits in a big, cozy chair, admiring the silver charm that Lawrence gave her.
CLOSE UP: THE SILVER CHARM It has a round main piece. On this part, there is a pentagram.
Andrews (O.S.) Gwen?
Gwen startles herself, and quickly puts the charm inside of her shirt.
Gwen: Oh, Frank. I didn't hear you come in.
Andrews: What was that?
Gwen: What was what?
Andrews: That silver necklace. I don't remember giving you one.
Gwen: Oh, this. It's a charm I got at the gypsy festival. It was after we fought.
Andrews: I'm sorry about that. You know just how much I love you. It killed me to see you with Benjamin, and I'm afraid history could repeat itself with Lawrence Talbot.
Gwen: You mean him dying, or you getting jealous?
Andrews: Both, actually.
Gwen: Why would you say that?
Andrews: Gwen, be careful around that man. There's something very tragic about him. I think that nothing but harm will come to you through him.
Gwen: He's just conflicted. You see how the town is treating him, and his father.
Andrews: I have some sympathy for Larry, but not Sir John. He deserves whatever he gets.
Gwen: He's a nice man.
Andrews: He's an asshole. Only seems to be a few respectful men left in this town.
Gwen: Oh, and who would that be?
Andrews: Pastor Fisk and Captain Montford.
Gwen: I don't agree.
Andrews: Be careful tonight Gwen. I know he's only been back for 2 days, but nothing but murder and fear has appeared in Llanwelly since Lawrence Talbot arrived.
FADE IN
INT. TALBOT MANOR LIVING ROOM - DAY
Sir John sits in his chair, with a small glass of scotch on the table. A bottle of it sits next to it, half empty. Sir John takes a swig of the scotch, and places it back down on the table. Doctor Lloyd and Larry walk into the room.
Sir John: Afternoon Doctor.
Doctor Lloyd: Good afternoon Sir John. Larry, I need to speak to Sir John privately.
Lawrence nods, and heads out of the room.
Doctor Lloyd: What are you planning on doing to your son?
Sir John: What do you mean?
Doctor Lloyd: He's on the verge of insanity.
Sir John: Larry? Larry's fine.
Doctor Lloyd: Have you been paying more attention to your son or to your bottle as of late?
Sir John: (Drunkenly) Don't you dare talk to me like that! I know what's best for my son. Benjamin will stay right here.
Doctor Lloyd: If you will do nothing, then I will.
Doctor Lloyd walks out of the living room. Larry immediately rushes over, and grabs him by the shoulder.
Larry: Doctor, I've gotta confess.
Doctor Lloyd: What is it, Larry?
Larry: I'm a werewolf.
Doctor Lloyd: Werewolf? Larry that's nothing more then a fairy tale.
Larry: Please, you've gotta believe me. I turn into a wolf when the moon is full. Tonight, it will be full again. There's nothing stopping me from killing again!
Doctor Lloyd: I'm curing you tonight.
Larry: How?
Doctor Lloyd: We're going to your brother's tomb. I am going to close the door to the crypt, and I am going to sit there all night with you. And by morning, we will all have conclusive proof that this is all in your mind.
Larry: Doctor, I'd only end up killing you!
Doctor Lloyd: Nonsense. Nothing will happen. I'll be here at nine o'clock this evening.
Doctor Lloyd exits Talbot Manor. Larry walks into the living room, and takes a seat across from Sir John.
Larry: You wish he was still here.
Sir John: He is still here.
Larry: Dad, Benjamin's dead. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm your only son.
Sir John: Do you know how much I miss him? Instead of being like a son, he was like a brother to me. My life has fallen apart, Larry.
Larry: I understand.
Larry gets off of the chair, and heads out of the living room. Sir John stares deeply into the roaring fire.
FADE OUT

Larry: May I see her?
Charles: Of course.
Larry nods respectfully, and heads upstairs.

INT. CONLIFFE UPSTAIRS – LATE AFTERNOON
Larry finds Gwen in her room, staring out of her window.
Larry: Gwen.
Gwen spins around with a bit of shock in her movement.
Gwen: Oh, Larry.
Larry: Gwen, I just wanted to say sorry.
Gwen: For what, you didn't do anything.
Larry: I've had the whole town in a panic. And moreso, I haven't been acting myself.
Gwen: Well, things have been quite traumatic for you in the past few days. I mean, your brother dies, then that night in the woods.
Larry: It's swept the town against my family name.
Gwen: Larry, exactly what did happen that night?
Larry: Well, I ran off after Jenny, and saw a wolf attacking her. By the time I was there, she was dead. I attacked it with my cane, and killed it. That morning, they found the body of Bela, the fortune teller where I killed the wolf.
Gwen: Well it was dark and foggy, maybe you got confused?
Larry: Why is it that everyone insists I'm confused?
Gwen: Well, just don't go doing anything irrational.
Larry: The doctor says he is going to cure me tonight.
Gwen: How?
Larry: He's taking me to Benjamin's crypt.
CUT TO
Frank Andrews stands outside the room, listening in on the conversation, a look of anger and jealousy on his face.

Larry: ....says that nothing will happen to either of us. Gwen, I'm afraid.
Gwen: Of what? You'll be perfectly fine.
Larry: What if I do kill Lloyd?
Gwen: You won't, unless you wanted to.
Larry: I'm going to bring some chains, and have him bolt me to the wall.
Gwen: Larry, would it calm you to have me come tonight?
Larry: No! Stay as far away as you can! Please.
Gwen tilts her head to the side, a moment of awkward silence disrupting the two. Suddenly, Gwen throws her arms around Larry, and kisses him on the lips. She pulls back after a few seconds, and begins to look worried.
CUT TO
Andrews pulls his head back, with a look of pure hatred on his face. Frank quickly heads downstairs.

Gwen: Please go. I'm sorry.
Larry exits the room. Gwen turns back towards the window, and looks out, a tear slowly sliding down her cheek.

INT. TALBOT CRYPT - NIGHT
Lawrence and Doctor Lloyd walk towards the crypt. Lloyd opens the heavy wooden door, and walks in with Larry. The doctor notices the chains bolted to the corner of the room.
Doctor Lloyd: What are those?
Larry: Chains and shackles, doctor. I don't want to take any chance.
Lloyd sighs heavily, and helps Larry get chained up. Once completed, both of Larry's arms and legs are chained to the wall.
Doctor Lloyd: That should hold.
Lloyd looks out of the open door, and sees the moon rising.
Doctor Lloyd: There's your full moon, Larry. Now, by the morning, we will both have proof enough that this werewolf is all in your mind. Larry looks at the bright moon in the sky, and closes his eyes.
Doctor Lloyd: What do you think happened to your brother?
Larry: I think he was killed.
Doctor Lloyd: I agree.
Larry begins to shake his head, and starts to cry.
Larry: Doctor, I killed those 3 people last night.
Doctor Lloyd: No you didn't.
Larry: I murdered them like they were animals. But I didn't want to. I had to.
Doctor Lloyd: Larry, you're not a werewolf. The full moon is up right now. If you were a we...
A loud GUN SHOT is heard. Doctor Lloyd abruptly stops in the middle of his sentence, and slumps forward, crashing to the floor.
Larry: DOCTOR! NO! NO!!!
A gun slides into the crypt, and the door is shut.

Andrews: Is he dead?
Montford feels the pulse on Lloyd's neck. A grim expression falls over his face.
Montford: He's gone. Frank, go to the town. Get some of my men.
Andrews walks out of the crypt. Montford sees Larry sitting in the corner.
Montford: Larry, I don't know what you've done. I don't know if it was you who killed the three people the other night. But god damn it Lawrence Talbot. You killed a damn good man. I have no choice but to place you under arrest.
Lawrence nods, seemingly in a trance.
Montford: You'll cooperate?
Larry nods whimsically. Montford walks Talbot out of the crypt.

EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - DAY
The three officers run up to Montford and Larry. One of them puts cuffs around Talbot's hands.
Montford: You two go and get Lloyd's body. Be respectful.
The two men nod, and head off screen.
Larry: I'm sorry, Paul. I'm sorry for throwing your town into chaos. I had no intention of it.
Montford nods sincerely.
Montford: Let's go.
Paul leads Larry through the near-rioting crowd. They boo and hiss at Larry. Some rude gentlemen spit on Talbot, who walks on with a hint of sadness on his face. Larry turns his head to the right, catching the eye of Frank Andrews. A few more steps, and he sees Twiddle. Twiddle shakes his head. Montford leads Talbot farther down the line.
Gwen (O.S.): Larry?
Larry turns his head, and finds a very panicked Gwen.
Gwen: Larry, what happened? What are they doing?
Larry: I can't explain. I'm sorry.
Larry continues his walk, where he finally sees his father at the end of the line. Sir John looks on in disbelief as Montford leads his son on.
Sir John: What is the meaning of this!?! Paul, what the hell is going on?
Montford: We found him in the crypt. We also found Doctor Lloyd, dead. he was shot. We found a gun. They were the only two people there the entire night.
Sir John: Larry, is this true?
Larry: Werewolves can't shoot guns, now can they? I didn't shoot, or kill Doctor Lloyd.
Sir John: Then how was he found dead?
Larry: Maybe somebody wants me out of here. Hell, it could be anyone of these damned peasants. Paul, could I have a moment? I need to address the crowd.
Montford sighs, and lets Larry speak.
Larry: Dear peasants of the god-forsaken hamlet of Llanwelly.
We pan across the crowd of towns people.
Larry: According to you, this town was peaceful before I ever came here.
The towns folk nod in agreement.
Larry: That may be true. But lest you forget the Pastor's words: "A beast has come among us".
The people seem confused by Larry's words.
Larry: A beast was among you. And it wasn't the power of Satan who changed him, no. It was another man!
Montford: That's enough.
Larry: No, Captain. These idiots, these, uh, filth ridden mongrels have no clue. They can sit here, and lay hidden in their homes. They can go to you for help. They can make threats against my father, and my father's prestige. But truth be told, it won't solve a thing!
Sir John: Larry, please.
Larry: (Ignoring Sir John) Taking me to jail may make you feel better. But what happens when the full moon rises again! That's when the beast strikes, am I right?
The peasants look on in concern.
Larry: (Manically) You all know how the old poem goes. "Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright".
Larry pauses as he looks out among the crowd, and catches Gwen's face.
Larry (Cont'd): THERE WAS A WEREWOLF AMONG YOU! THIS BEAST KILLED THREE OF YOUR FELLOW PEASANTS!
The crowd gasps in surprise, and in anger. Montford begins to pull Larry away with the other officer's help.
Larry: (Angrily, maniacally) THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO END THIS! KILL ME! END MY SUFFERING, AND YOU WILL END YOURS!
MEDIUM CLOSE UP: GWEN, SIR JOHN, FRANK
Gwen is crying at Larry's apparent delusion. Sir John shakes his head in shame. Frank Andrews steps up.
Andrews: Talbot, you're insane. I thought you were a good man at first. But you've brought nothing but chaos to our town. You don't belong dead.
Larry: Where would you send me then, Frank Andrews?
Andrews: You belong in a mental hospital, Talbot. I'd hate to see another good Talbot son lose himself to insanity.
Sir John rushes towards Frank, and throws a punch at the younger man. Andrews stumbles back, but refuses to hit the enraged elder Talbot.
Sir John: HIT ME YOU WORM! HIT ME OR I SWEAR TO GOD, I WILL KILL YOU!
Sir John struggles towards Andrews, but is restrained by some of the townspeople. The town is in utter chaos.

Inspector Owens: Lycanthropy.
Doctor: Indeed. Come with me Lawrence. Or would you prefer to be called Larry?
Larry: Doesn't matter.
Doctor: Well then. Come with me. Thank you Inspector.
Inspector Owens: Of course. Notify me immediately if you need anything. Good bye, Mr. Talbot, and good luck.

Larry: Indeed I will.
MONTAGE: LARRY’S TREATMENT

The Wolf Man bears down on the girl, it's face coming closer and closer to hers.
CLOSE UP: THE WOLF MAN
The Wolf Man's face moves in, his teeth bared. Though his entire face is bestial, we see his eyes. They're the same as Larry's. Though on the outside there is a monster, we see the man on the inside.

Doctor: Well Talbot, you've gone through 2 weeks of our therapy. You haven't become a wolf. But then again, there's been no full moon. So tonight, it is the final portion of your cure.
Larry: The part where you all die? And where I escape, and wreak havoc upon England's pride and glory?
Doctor: We'll see.
FADE OUT
INT. LONDON ASYLUM - NIGHT
Talbot walks into a room with a skylight. The roof is a gigantic window. In the center of the circular room is a chair, with various straps. 4 doctors stand in the room, along with a brutish looking man.
Doctor: Take a seat, Talbot.
Larry obliges him, and sits in the chair as the doctors begin to strap him in. Talbot's hands are visible on the chair's arms, but his body is held by a straight jacket, and various buckles.
Larry: Your funeral.
Doctor: You are not a werewolf. You were insane. You will be cured tonight.
CLOSE UP: FULL MOON
The full moon sits in the night sky. Larry looks up at the behemoth, and begins to sweat.
Larry: Get out of the room. Lock the door. Call the police.
Doctor: No...we are quite content right here.
Larry: You don't understand. In a matter of minutes, you all will be dead.
Doctor: Is that so?
Larry's face begins to sweat.
Larry: Please, just get out of here. Evacuate the building. You don't know what I will do.
Doctor: I do know what you will do, you will sit right her..
Larry: (violently) I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!
Larry begins to pant. The doctor's look on quietly, quite certain he is acting up.
CLOSE UP: LARRY’S FACE
His eyes twitch. You hear the pulse of his heart-beat. The rhythmic beating, slowly getting faster, and faster...
Larry: NO!
Larry jerks his head back violently, and his yell of pain becomes muted as his face begins to contort into his beast-like form. His hands grow claws, and his entire body becomes covered in dark brown fur. The Wolf Man begins to break free of the buckles, each belt snapping, one by one. Finally, with one burst of power, The Wolf Man bursts from the straight jacket, and let's out a spine-chilling howl.
Doctor: (Gulping, panicking) God help us...
The Wolf Man pounces at one of the other doctor's, and tears his throat out. The brutish man goes to fight the Wolf Man, but is might by two heavy swipes of vicious claws, ripping his face up. He falls back dead. Another one of the doctors attempts to use the chair as a defense, but it is crunched as the Wolf Man leaps atop of him. His cry is heard off screen. Montford: Afternoon Kendall.
Kendall: Good afternoon, Captain Montford.
Sir John (O.S.): Ah, isn't it the good captain himself, Paul Montford. Tell me Paul, have you hauled any other of my sons away?
Montford: Sir John, they dismissed the case as a suicide.
Sir John: Doesn't bother me...you see, I have enough money to live until I die, and enough alcohol to live in peace until I die.
Montford: I suggest you look at your life. You've lost two sons, one to death, and the other to insanity.
Sir John: I'm sorry Paul.
Montford: For what? Sir John, the village has turned against your family, the most prominent in Llanwelly history.
Sir John: And who leads this "rebellion"?
Montford: Unsurprisingly, Frank Andrews.
Sir John: HAH! And what is he planning on doing?
Montford: Just don't get into any trouble.
Sir John: Yes, Captain.
Montford leaves with a disgusted look on his face.

Larry: Hello, father. I'm back.
Sir John: Indeed.
Larry: I just wish to make amends, between us. I feel like we haven't really been a pair, like a real father and son. I'm sorry about Benjamin, father. I know he was your life.
Sir John: There is nothing to apologize about, my son. It may not have been apparent, but all throughout, I'm glad that you're back. I love you, Larry, nothing will ever change that.
Larry: Thank you, father. Do you have a moment to talk?
Sir John: What is it son?
Larry: I think I know who killed Lloyd.
Sir John: Who did then?
Larry: I think it was Andrews.
Sir John: I should’ve known..
Larry: Let's take this rationally. I'm going to speak to Gwen. I'll see you later tonight.
Sir John: All right.
Larry turns to leave.
Sir John: Ah, Larry, wait. Here.
Sir John hands Larry his silver cane.
Sir John: It's yours. Might as well take it.
Larry: Thank you.
Larry exits Talbot Manor.

Gwen: I'm Gwen, how may I help you?
Larry lifts his hat up, and smiles at Gwen.
Gwen: Larry! But I thought you had…
Larry: It's a long story. But first, I've got to tell you something. My father and I believe..
Frank Andrews enters the shop.
Andrews: Believe what, Lawrence Talbot?
Larry: Ah, Frank. It's good to see you. Before I answer that, tell me, what exactly did you do to those people?
Andrews: What are you talking about?
Larry: Within a matter of months, you've turned Llanwelly's people against it's two most prominent citizens. Instead of actively working to help Montford with these murders, you had a vendetta against my father.
Andrews: Prominent? Please. You Talbots are nothing but outcasts. Rich, spoiled, stuck up outcasts.
Larry: That may be so. But rest assured. I will find out what happened to my brother.
Larry tips his hat at Gwen, and exits the shop.
FADE OUT
EXT. LLANWELLY VILLAGE - LATE AFTERNOON

Villager: This does not bode wall for Llanwelly.
Villager: The beast will strike again...
Talbot ignores the whisperings of the villagers as he heads towards the Police Station.
CUT TO
INT. LLANWELLY POLICE STATION - LATE AFTERNOON
Larry opens the door, and spots Montford facing away from him, talking to another officer.
Larry: Captain Montford.
Montford: (Dismissively) Yes, one moment.
Larry: (Sternly) Captain Montford.
Montford turns around, and recoils in shock as he looks up Lawrence's face.
Montford: (Shocked) Larry, but you were...I...
Larry: They released me. They said with the conditions of my mind, and the lack of hard evidence, they couldn't prosecute me.
Larry smiles innocently, hiding the fact that he massacred nearly 10 people in London during his accidental escape.
Montford: But we found you with the gun..surely there was...
Larry: Captain, I was chained up the entire night. I saw Doctor Lloyd get shot. I don't know how I broke the chains, and I have no recollection of what else happened that night. But I swear to you, I did not kill Doctor Lloyd.
Montford: Well Larry, the village already thinks...
Larry: That's why I've returned. There is only one way to rid Llanwelly of itss curse, of its beast. We must end this once and for all. And we must end this tonight.
Montford: How?
Larry: Talk with Strickland. Call a town meeting. I'll tell them how. This will be settled tonight.
Montford nods, and pats Larry on the shoulder.
FADE OUT
INT. TOWN HALL - EVENING
Sir John, Larry, and Captain Montford sit in the front of the meeting room as the majority of Llanwelly shuffles into the room. The town mayor, Strickland, calls for silence.
Strickland: Silence! Please. Tonight, I have gathered you all here to discuss what to do about the beast. Over the past few weeks, it has been peaceful. But there have been no full moons. There is one tonight, and tomorrow. What do you propose we do? I will take suggestions.
A peasant stands up.
Peasant: I say we lock Larry Talbot behind bars, and see if there is a murder! If there isn't, we'll know it was he who killed the 3 people.
Lawrence stands up, and asks Strickland to speak.
Larry: Ladies and gentlemen of Llanwelly. I come back to you now to help.
The crowd boos, and shake their heads in disagreement.
Larry: You don't have to believe me. But as Strickland said, there will be a full moon tonight. What would locking me up do? I simply want to help.
Some of the peasants nod their head in agreement.
Larry: You can simply sit here, and talk, and condemn me. But what good would that do? You all must act! You must hunt the beast! Take out all of your men, and find it. But I must warn you...
The crowd looks on, waiting for an explanation. Montford slightly nods his head. Sir John listens intently.
Larry: You cannot kill it...yet
The crowd silently awaits more.
Larry: There is only one explanation for these murders...for these acts of violence. A werewolf is in Llanwelly.
The crowd begins to argue, shouting insults and nonsense at Talbot. Lawrence takes it in stride, but his will still remains.
Larry: Only silver can kill a werewolf. Fitzgerald, can you make silver bullets before tonight?
A burly looking man stands up.
Fitzgerald: I don't think I have enough silver, Master Talbot. Besides, it would take me until tomorrow to make them.
Montford: Silver bullets? Why can't we just shoot the beast with normal bullets!
Larry: Captain, the only thing that can kill a werewolf is silver, and unless you've got any better suggestions, that's what the town should do tonight!
The crowd begins to voice their displeasure.
Montford: Larry, thank you for your advice. If Fitzgerald can't make these bullets by tonight, I say we set a few traps. Capture the animal, and see what we've got.
The crowd agrees with Montford.
Montford: I need some volunteers. Frank Andrews, you're coming with me regardless as head gamekeeper for Llanwelly. You know these woods better than any of us. I need maybe 4 more.
Montford picks some of the younger men, and heads out of the courtroom. Larry looks on from his chair with a grim expression, knowing this will end in only pain for Llanwelly.
Larry: This is foolishness.
Sir John: Montford knows what he's doing. Come, let's get back to the manor.
FADE OUT
EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - EVENING

Andrews: Of course.

Driver: Blast.
The driver knocks on the coach door, which is opened by the young man.
Driver: Sorry to disturb you sir, but one of the wheels cracked. I'm afraid we're stuck.
Man: Is there anyway to fix it?
Driver: I might have a spare in the back.
The man shuts the coach door as the driver heads around to the back of the coach.

The woman nods as her husband leaves the carriage. The man walks around to the back, and sees the eviscerated corpse of the driver.
Man: My..my God.

EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
The Wolf Man roams the woods, in search of new prey. As he stalks, his foot becomes caught in one of the powerful bear traps. The Wolf man snarls in pain, and tries to yank his foot out of the trap, but it doesn't budge. He spasms around, eventually falling to the floor, collapsing on a log. In the background, a cart trots up towards the fallen Wolf Man. Maleva sits at its front, and stops the horses. The old gypsy gets off of the cart, and walks over to where Talbot lays. With a flower of wolfbane in her hand, Maleva begins to chant.
Maleva: The way you walked was thorny, through no fault of your own.
The hair begins to fade away from Larry's face.
Maleva: But as the rain enters the soil, the river enters the sea. So tears come to a predestined end.
Larry's body returns to his human state.
Maleva: Find peace for a moment, my son.
Larry stirs, and finds his foot in the trap.
Larry: Where am I?
Maleva: Hurry, the men are hunting you.
Maleva tries to open the trap, but Larry gets in there instead.
Larry: Here, here, I'll get it!
Larry disarms the trap, and gets his foot out. He tries to stand, but walks with a limp.
Larry: Thank you, you're the only one that believes me.
Maleva: Hopefully they will too, or I fear this village will erupt into total panic. Now go, before they find you.
Larry limps off as fast as he can through the woods.

Larry: The same thing you are doing, of course. Hunting!
Larry turns around, and heads towards the village as the hunter looks on. Montford walks on screen.
Montford: Did I hear you talking to someone?
Hunter: It was Master Larry.
Montford: Alright. On your way.
Montford looks at the distant Larry with a watchful eye.

CUT TO
INT. CONLIFFE'S SHOP - NIGHT
Larry quickly gets inside of the shop, and shuts the door behind him.
Larry: Gwen, I'm leaving here.
Gwen: But why?
Larry: I can't stay here any longer. I killed Bela. I killed those two criminals, and the girl. In London, I killed much more!
Gwen: Let me go with you. I'll fetch a few things..
Larry: You wouldn't wanna run away with a murderer, wouldja?
Gwen: But you're not!
Larry: I am what I say I am....a monster!
Gwen: But I can help you!
Larry: If I stay here, you don't know who could be next...
Larry looks Gwen in the eyes, with a truthfulness and helplessness that starts breaking her down.
Larry: It might even be…
Gwen: I've still got the charm you gave me!
Gwen pulls out the silver charm, and Larry grabs both of her hands. Suddenly his faces changes to shock.
CLOSE UP: GWEN’S RIGHT HAND
The pentagram sits on her palm.
Larry: Your hand!
Gwen looks at her hand with a puzzled look on her face.
Gwen: But I don't see anything!
Charles Conliffe walks down the stairs, awoken by the increasingly loud conversation.
Charles: Master Talbot!
Gwen: Father, I'm going with Larry!
Larry: NO! IT'S NO USE!
Larry leaves the shop quickly, slamming the door behind him. Gwen attempts to follow him, but her father holds her back.

INT. TALBOT MANOR - NIGHT
Larry paces around the corridor, his face stricken with desperation. Sir John walks down stairs.
Sir John: What's the matter Larry?
Larry: Father, I've gotta leave.
Sir John: Why?
Larry: Father, tonight, I got caught in one of the traps. I don't know how I got there.
Sir John: Larry, Larry, how can I get you out of this mental quagmire you've gotten yourself into?
Larry: You can believe me! Father, I've killed many people, but I can't control it. I'm a werewolf!
Sir John: Stop it with this werewolf nonsense! You're a Talbot!
Larry: You're treating me like I'm insane! They tried to cure me at the Asylum, but they all were killed! They say you can see the pentagram in the sign of your next victim's hand. I saw it tonight, in Gwen's hand.
The sound of hunting dogs is heard.
Larry: What's that?
Sir John: Montford and the men caught nothing in the traps, so they're out hunting the wolf.
Larry: They're all out hunting for me!
Sir John: You're Lawrence Talbot. This is Talbot Manor. You think those men can just come in here and take you out?
Larry: I'll go out to them! I'll turn myself in!
Sir John: (angrily) STOP IT! STOP IT! You can't go out there. You can't run away.
Larry: But tonight, the gypsy woman freed me from the trap.
Sir John: Gypsy woman? Now we're getting down to it. She's been filling your mind with this gibberish, this talk of werewolves and pentagrams. You're not a child, you're a grown man! And you believe in the superstitions of a gypsy woman?
Larry: But the scar, the footprints...I've gotta...
Sir John: Well if that's the case, then I'll make sure that you can't go out. Come with me Larry.
CUT TO
INT. LARRY'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Larry sits in a chair, strapped up. 2 candles are lit around him to provide light. Sir John fastens the belts and straps.
Sir John: That should hold. I'll lock the door so nobody can get in or out. When this is over, this conjuration will be all in your mind.
A knock comes at the door.
Kendall: Sir John, Captain Montford awaits you and Master Larry.
Sir John: I'm coming.
Larry: But you're gonna stay with me, right?
Sir John: Oh no. These people have a problem Larry. But I swear to you, this all will be resolved tonight.
Sir John turns to leave.
Larry: Dad, wait.
Sir John: What is it son?
Larry: Take the cane.
Sir John: What would I want with a cane?
Larry: Please, just, take it. For me.

Charles hands Gwen a small pistol.
Gwen: Why would I need this?
Charles: I know with the men out there, you should be safe, but I just want to make sure. I don't want to lose you, like I did your mother.

Sir John: Captain.
Montford: Good evening Sir John.
Sir John: Ah, Frank. Why don't you go off hunting for the wolf by yourself? I'd hate to see something happen to you.
Sir John walks away from the hunting stand.
Andrews: Excuse me for a moment.
Montford: Alright.
CUT TO
EXT. LLANWELLY WOODS - NIGHT
Sir John walks through the forest, silver cane in hand.
Andrews (O.S.): Hey Talbot.
Sir John stops, and turns around to see Frank Andrews walking towards him.
Sir John: What do you want Andrews?
Andrews hits Sir John in the face, knocking the man to the floor.
Andrews: We're far enough away so nobody can bloody hear me.
Sir John: I see. Is that how you deal with things? Behind people's backs?
Andrews: Wrong. I deal with them with my gun. You see, Sir John. Larry never killed Doctor Lloyd.
Sir John: And who did?
Andrews: I did. And you're son Benjamin never committed suicide.
Sir John's face becomes slanted with anger.
Andrews: I killed him, like the dog he was. He couldn't keep away from Gwen.
Sir John: Maybe because he knew Gwen needed someone better than you. And Larry knew that too.
Andrews: Gwen means nothing to me. She's nothing but a pretty face to bed.
Sir John: Then why'd you kill my son? Could you not bare to see somebody else take something from you?
Andrews: Shut up! Now with two Talbots down, there's only one way of ridding Llanwelly of its problem.
Andrews cocks his gun, and slowly aims it at Sir John's face.

Sir John gets to his feet, and looks Gwen in the eyes.
Sir John: Thank you. What are you doing out here?
Gwen: I was going...going to help Larry.
Sir John: He's in his room, strapped to a chair.
Gwen: I went to the Manor, and asked to see him, but Kendall said he checked the room, and nobody was there.

Sir John: Rubbish, you startled me.
Maleva: Don't be startled Sir John. You have the silver cane for protection.
Sir John walks over to Maleva's cart.
Sir John: Who are you?
Maleva: Hasn't your son told you?
Sir John: You're the gypsy whose been filling his mind with this werewolf nonsense.
Maleva: Nonsense, Sir John?
Sir John: Yes, you've been preying on his gullibility with your witches tales.
Maleva: But you fixed him, didn't you, Sir John? You don't believe the witches' tales, do you?
Sir John: Not for a minute.
Maleva: Then where are you going, Sir John? Why aren't you at the shooting stand?
Sir John: I was.
Maleva: (Vindictively) Where you heading back to the Manor? Did you have a moment's doubt? Were you hurrying to make sure he was alright?
Sir John: I wanted to be with my son. I was going...
Gunshots are heard from across the forest.
Maleva: Yes Sir John, you were going?
Sir John heads off in the direction of the gunshots.

Gwen: Have you seen Larry?
Maleva: Do not go through the forest.
Gwen: But why?
Maleva: Listen, the hunt is on.
Gwen: But I want to help him!
Maleva: Then you better come with me.
Gwen: Oh, but I've got to find him!
Maleva: Come with me, or he will find you!
Gwen looks frustrated at Maleva, and runs off deeper into the forest.
As she runs through, The Wolf Man is seen stalking her from behind a bush. He slowly begins to stalk her as she runs through the forest.

Maleva: The way you walked was thorny, through no fault of your own.
Larry's face begins to change. Some of his fur disappears, but his face is still bestial.
Maleva: But as the rain enters the soil, the river enters the sea.
Larry's face is still somewhat hairy, but his fangs are gone.
Maleva: So tears run to a predestined end.
Larry's face changes back to normal.
Sir John looks down at his dead son, completely obliterated and shocked. He can't imagine what he's just done. He drops the silver cane. Gwen crawls over towards Larry.
Maleva: Your suffering is over. Now you will find peace for eternity.
Maleva walks off screen, leaving Sir John to do nothing but crouch by his dead son, and grasp his cold hand. Montford and some of the hunters walk on screen, taking a look at the situation.
Montford: The wolf must've attacked her, and Larry came to the rescue. I'm sorry Sir John.
Gwen cradles Larry's head in her lap. Sir John continues to stare. He's lost everything.
Gwen: Larry?

His face is calm, and at peace. A smile is formed on his mouth.
